nowadays i´m watching your channel as a practical way to learn more about tones and licks.. btw i bought the cruncher and no regrets so far. great pedal! Tkx man
Couldn't agree more. Maybe pedal demos should be done by someone who sucks as bad as I do, that way if the pedal still sounds good then you KNOW it's a keeper! LOL. :D
Mike! Please do a demo of the Mooer Acoustikar Acoustic Guitar Simulator micro compact pedal because the factory website demo shows the pedal as sounding good, but is worthless without knowing what guitar is plugged into it. All they needed to say was "a solid body electric with single coils" or " a solid body electric with humbucker pickup" and that would partially solve the mystery. Your demos are the best i''ve seen cuz all bases are covered. I hope they are paying you top dollar for these!
i can tell you quite enjoyed this pedal on the lower gain settings didnt you? very tasteful playing there..i have the Hustle Driver and i adore it..considering this one now
I have both pedals for two years. DS-1 is more fuzzy, rich in armonics and mid scooped. Cruncher has a huge of mid freq in the sack and a lot of distorsion available. They are different but working with the eq of your amp you can reduce the distance between them. This is a very important concept in my opinion: WORK WITH YOUR EQ AMP, TRY DIFFERENT GUITARS, THE SOUND OF YOUR PEDAL WILL CHANGE IN A CONSIDERABLE MANNER!!! Cheers!
gianni calicchio A Reply to myself... ;) A lot of pedals have only the "Tone" knob. Try all the positions of the "Mid" knob of the amplifier from minimum to maximum. It changes dramatically the colour of your distortion pedal!!! In this way a pedal that sucks you might also like... IMO!!!
Great sound!! do you write your own backing tracks? Using what DAW? I really want one of these, before they totally get discovered and get priced out of my reach.
I think this is my favorite Mooer drive pedal. Mike what's yours - looks like you've played most? Thanks. Hey, Mike's not shredding, but he's a tasty player with nice touch. Good job Mike!
Probably the best lead/solo tone I ever heard! So sad the "fat" sound cannot be switched off, because I suppose on mid-boosted amps this will sound too fat for riffs.
i recently bought the mooer blues crab, great pedal, build quality, fits on my cluttered pedalboard, just one thing though, the small level and tone knobs in the top left and right of the pedal are really annoying, simply because they are so damn tiny and you can't really see what your settings are at times lol
How does this pedal react when you roll the volume down? Does it clean up very well like an tube amp would? Can you get a clean arpeggio tone (Lynyrd Skynyrd style for example) by lowering the volume on the guitar with the pedal set for a pretty gainy crunch?
Sebastian Escudero cruncher is a stand alone distortion pedal. The hustle is more a boost and over drive pedal. I'd recommend the cruncher for what your looking for.
Hi, great demo and amazing player! I'm an old-school player and I don't use pedals, so I'd need to keep it always on and clean up the sound by rolling off the guitar's volume; does this pedal allow such a kind of use? Strange that you don't show this feature in your great demo. BTW, it seems like you get Tone Heaven out of that box, but it's easily done when you play that well!!! I guess you could put a cheap radio into a garbage can and make it play like a full stack Plexi ;)
your amp settings please.. tried this with my peavey special chorus 2x12, doesn't sound as bright as this demo even if i turn the tone knob all the way to maximum...
Ok, I've just bought one. Sounds nothing like this vid, and it's not even close to a Marshall tone. All I can say is that I do also own a Tubescreamer that I would use anyday over this one for low gain stuff... but HOLY FUCKING SHIT this thing roars like a motherfucking psychopath tubescreamer from 12' (gain knob) and beyond. I think the main difference in tone I am getting is due to my amp. It's a piece of shit with a good clean channel that sounds beautiful with the TS at low gain, but crappy with any distortion except this cruncher. Go for it, don't doubt it.
nah. too much gain to be a good booster i'd say. green mile or hustle drive would make a better booster, or you could just get a real booster like the mooer pure boost.
Everytime I come here to listen to a pedal, I get lost in your playing. Great musician.
Mooer again!… I have 3 Eleclady’s V1 , because I love this gorgeous pedal!. Now, I want this
Great! Now I have to try the Crunch Box. I really enjoyed this pedal...
-Mike
Mike your such a good guitar player! Always enjoy watching all these demos!
Very much appreciative of these mooer demos. Easily the best i've seen. Cheers guys!
nowadays i´m watching your channel as a practical way to learn more about tones and licks.. btw i bought the cruncher and no regrets so far. great pedal! Tkx man
Thanks for watching though! Toni is a killer player!
-Mike
Thanks for tuning in!
-Mike
Love those ‘off’ notes that makes it very fusion like.
Thanks. I liked this one and the Green Mile. They all sound great. Especially for the price and size
pedale fantastico, accostato al blues drive sempre di casa mooer da moltissime soddisfazioni!!
Com'è? volevo prendere il cruncher però sono indeciso fra cuncer e hustle drive...come ti trovi/come li usi in pedaliera ?
you killed me !!!!! so much taste !!!! and so good notes ==> you're great
Awesome player and awesome pedal!👍
i have one. gets great tone and it's not expensive at all.
Wow, what a great demo. I dig that tune.
This guitarist would play anything well. The sound is on the fingers :-)
Couldn't agree more. Maybe pedal demos should be done by someone who sucks as bad as I do, that way if the pedal still sounds good then you KNOW it's a keeper! LOL. :D
Best comment

mike hermans, what a fantastic guitar player
Nice playing my dude
you make great product descriptions, Mike. it would behoove your competitors to follow your model. They won't so I will gain benefit from it.
I use drum loops and record the bass and guitars myself. I think this one was using garage band! I've been using Reason a lot lately. I love it!
Muy bien todo, weell played saludos desde argentina
i can tell you quite enjoyed this pedal on the lower gain settings didnt you? very tasteful playing there..i have the Hustle Driver and i adore it..considering this one now
I'm a bass player and I want this guitarist
Compare: Boss DS-1 vs Mooer Cruncher Distortion please.
on a side note, i was having a good time listening to the demo. :)
I have both pedals for two years. DS-1 is more fuzzy, rich in armonics and mid scooped. Cruncher has a huge of mid freq in the sack and a lot of distorsion available.

thanks for the info bro.
zapantalambda You're welcome! It's a pleasure chatting about guitars and pedals!!!

great player
mooer ultra drive. It's orange like the DS-1 but also true bypass and with Keeley mod integrated
its nice. is it noisy when you left it iddle?
Great guitar player !!
Great sound!!
do you write your own backing tracks? Using what DAW?
I really want one of these, before they totally get discovered and get priced out of my reach.

Vos y Andy tendrían que grabar pilas y pilas de discos.
lovely fingers, it can play anything for you. TOP !
Probably the best lead/solo tone I ever heard! So sad the "fat" sound cannot be switched off, because I suppose on mid-boosted amps this will sound too fat for riffs.

+Hamzah Hussain yes..the markers on the small knobs should really be painted white..
On later models they actually are,
hi i want to ask a question, which one is better to boost this cruncher? is it hustledrive? or greenmile? thanks, and great demo anyway :)
Perhaps should you included a demontration on a stratocaster ?
(Please, just for me ? lol)
How does this pedal react when you roll the volume down? Does it clean up very well like an tube amp would?
Can you get a clean arpeggio tone (Lynyrd Skynyrd style for example) by lowering the volume on the guitar with the pedal set for a pretty gainy crunch?
just paid 45 dlls for it new! thats pretty good
Nice..but i kinda prefer the guy from your suhr riot pedal demo to demo your high gain dist better..still great demo :)
You can make sound good even my grandma mustache
What model and brand is that telecaster? Its Beautiful
I think its a Suhr.
When do you will demo the mooer black secret and the new.mod factory?
for rock zepellin, black crows, and guns and roses, cruncher or hustle drive ?
Sebastian Escudero cruncher is a stand alone distortion pedal. The hustle is more a boost and over drive pedal. I'd recommend the cruncher for what your looking for.
I might borrow some licks here :-D it's in the hands my friends!
ok tell me the differences : audio solo, cruncher, hustle drive, rumble drive..they sound quite similar
Amp & mics used to record this with?
J4vice what broke exactly? It just stopped working? Or did something break off?
lo recomiendas amigo a este pedal?? es bueno?
Yo lo tengo hace unos meses y es un pedal increíble, pequeño pero suena gigante el MOOER CRUNCH. 💯🎸🇵🇪
1:25, what teknik?
What does it use?? Jack power supley( like a big muff)
Mooer Cruncher Distortion -VS- JHS Angry Charlie please!
What amp did you use? Also that is very important to know
it's said in the Video.
Dr. Z Maz 18
yeah this screams
Hi from Chile. Would the Mooer Cruncher be suitable as for the sound of Screaming Trees' early albums...? Thanks in advanced.
Hola Alvaro, Yo creo que SI, está bien para STrees. Probable ellos usan un Marshall. Yo tambien soy de Chile!! Tienes una banda aca?
So....who’s the player?
Which pedal sounds the most DS1-ish??
Is this a good booster?
Not great as a booster. More for a crunch tone or lead tone
Hi, great demo and amazing player!

im just enjoy ur music..:)
what is amp?
I have that pedal, it sounds good but is excessively noisy.
Songs names please I'll cry
Hes got a lot of SATRIANIisms. Anybody else??
Ok, I've just bought one. Sounds nothing like this vid, and it's not even close to a Marshall tone. Sound dirty in all the right kinds of ways (Marshall territory).
it took a month to get to my house... thats pretty bad!!
Fuck it I just bought one . They are like $40 on ebay .
Kinda Van Halen sounding.
haha!
if this is a copy of the crunch box is lame
this broke on me.
Haha, Mooer: the fx pedals troll!
nah. too much gain to be a good booster i'd say. green mile or hustle drive would make a better booster, or you could just get a real booster like the mooer pure boost.
MI Audio Crunchbox clone
Ds1 clone
actually it is MI Audio Crunchbox clone
When do you will demo the mooer black secret and the new.mod factory?
