The Merfolks Lullaby route doesnt take efficiency into account, it only shows the relation between outposts in regard to surplus/deficit commodities. Most of the time, the time you save by taking a simpler, circular route through all the outposts will more than make up for not chaining them perfectly together. More than that, any advantage of using the Merfolks route immediately disappears if you are doing more than one run and revisiting outposts anyway.
The forts scale in difficulty based on vessel (and possibly crew size). For the sword, you can hold block while also charging a lunge. Solo slooping is so fun. Dangerous for sure, and I've had plenty of harrowing experiences and outright losses, but extremely gratifying. One of my most fun moments ever while solo slooping is when I managed to fend off a galleon of 4 reapers long enough to make them give up. I used a cheeky anchor turn to point into the wind, set up with a sniper, and waited until their patience eventually wore down. I did have to fend off a few boarding attempts, but between some well-timed charged sword attacks, home territory advantage, and a bit of shameless double-gunning, they never managed to do more than harass me a bit. Honestly the most annoying part was the sniper up in their crow's nest, as he was actually really accurate and single-handedly made me go through like a lot of my food stores, but fortunately I had killed a meg earlier and so I had a lot of very good quality meat to pull me through. Also, the wide variety of cursed cannonballs I used to slow them down were crucial, as it meant they couldn't just pull up beside me and broadside me into oblivion before I could make some distance. Best part is I nabbed a second meg on my way back to port and reaped all that sweet, sweet gold and reputation. I only wish I had recorded it so that I could share my story better. One tip that has saved me a lot of trouble is to head back to port pretty often. Although it'll add a lot of unnecessary travel time, if you're a patient person, it's worth it for the guaranteed rewards and peace of mind. All I'm gonna say is losing 3 hours of progress is far more devastating than losing only one hour.

Just started playing this game again after a long break, no-one i know plays it so I’m always solo. Just a few hours ago i had to defend 4 hours of loot from a galleon that was hostile even though they had the alliance flag up, took them a while but they finally got control of my ship. Even though it was a huge loss for me, it was still pretty fun.

For ages and ages on SoT I solo slooped and honestly it went fairly well, but I'm no good at PvP so anytime a ship came close it basically was game over. High risk but high reward if it went well
I have and always will be a solo slooper so I have developed a lot of patience. There is only so much one person can take before they are just done with it. Ex: Megalodon+Skele Ship+No Wood at 8 in the morning with 3K gold worth of cargo on the ship.
As a fellow solo slooper, this is so accurate. One second you are chilling on the seas, and the next a skeleton ship, megladon, and player galleon have surrounded you
solo slooping is: hands down the best way to become a better crewmate. when you see crews hanging off cannons or the wheel you know they've not really grasped the onboard mechanics... if they had... they'd know they need to haul ass and help on the bigger ships. XD
I mainly solo sloop, because all my friend stop playing after we hit PL. So i can say, the life of an Solo Slooper is HARD! P.S.: Keep up the great work. I love your Channel 👍

@@CliffTheStoryGuy No, your right me and my crew rushed it. That was back in Season 1 and we wanted the PL curse so bad lol. But ur completely right in saying that the early days are the most fun for most :)

I became pirate legend only doing SOLO..get back out there and FIGHT FOR GLORY..it takes DETERMINATION to WIN!! Don't worry if you get sunk by reapers you respawn and you keep going!!! TO ViCTORY!!!
For my first actual solo sloop, I sailed and took down a skele fleet world event while being chased by a brig reaper. A storm came in, and one thing became another, and I saw their brig sail OVER the deck of my ship. It was a damn good time.
I just came back after a round of solo slooping. My usual 2 Mates were asleep and did not wanna make the sunken pearl Mission with me, who just started playing a few days ago and had lots of catching up to do. I hated the mission just as much as them but it had to be completed. I ended up completing the mission with the Chest of everlasting sorrows with me. And boi although that mission was a drag, taking that chest to the closest outpost really showed me the dangers of solo slooping. The chest has a curse that constantly fills up your ship with water for as long as it's aboard so it was basically me, having to adjust course and sails, evading other players, checking my map and unload the water all at the same time. I ended up making the trip tho and cashing it in at a gold hoarder for a measly 6 grand. I gotta say I really enjoyed that adrenaline rush
Love the vids! They provide entertaining content that still feels attainable to ppl like myself that aren't happyf333ts, able to solo 3 galleons. Some comments: why pistol and sword as your weapons? I'd suggest sniper and sword or sniper and blunder? When you're at an outpost, I'd recommend getting a single storage crate instead of the other crates and using the island barrels to fill it, you can get all item types with the box and you will get much more resources over time than with the cannon/wood crates.
I’ve been a solo slooper my entire career, and it’s tough. One kraken takes years to kill. God forbid you find a ghost galleon cause those eat up like 30 canon balls and even more planks. And beating even a normal sloop takes complete focus and mental fortitude. You die once with them on your ship, it’s over, you get knocked off once from one stupid blunder bomb, it’s over
I did a couple of forts and some of those underwater trails yesterday on solo and it was easier than I thought it would be. I mean, it's not a fort of the damned solo or anything but pretty good for me
My most recent adventure came today. After just having a peaceful run doing 5 ghost forts and saw a brig fighting so i got back to my boat with 0 supplies and tucked on the fotd island heard them say "hey i need help on the ship" to which i go " i can help just dont shoot me" and scared and surprised the brig crew. Ended up spending about 30min helping them out and giving them pointers(2/3 are couple week new to the game) and when the boss killed me i told them where my stash was and wished them luck. As a solo slooper i usually get ganged up on even with good intentions so it was nice to meet a friendly crew
My most incredible sloop moment was during a simple vault quest! Two savage pirates in a sloop were engaging a new sailor! I charged em, and absolutely wrecked them to allow the noob to escape! They didn’t sink, but instead called for a truce! And I made sure they felt the sting of my cannons cause by goodness- they were barely hanging on!
if you enter a fleet and you have two skelly gallys on each side like in the video, use firebombs to put fire on their cannons and the skeletons who try to use the cannons will burn and die fast, i've done those fleets as a solo sloop many times, i think they are pretty fun
One time I was solo slooping, and accidentally sailed into a fleet battle. The two skelly galleons sandwiched me so hard my sloop got lifted out of the water, and all 3 ships were just stuck in place. Good times.
Bro you are blowing up! What you're doing is great and the algorithm recognizes it, I'm sure that if the rest of your content is as high quality as this your sub counts are gonna soar! Best of luck, I'm definitely subscribing to see how your journey goes. >:D
This reminded me last night when I went to pick up some chests from one of the volcanic islands did my ship got pushed out to sea by earthquake and then killed by a skeleton cannon and I had a row all the loot I had acquired , which included my first meg kill, to the shore bury it and come back with my sloop. I almost decided to try and use the rowboat to get to the nearest outpost but I figured since I didn’t see any ships nearby it would just be faster to get my sloop back.
I just bought a series X after being a life-long PlayStation user. Figured I should probably give the Xbox’s flagship “social” game a try. I know it’s toxic as hell but I’ve played Ark, Rust, and DayZ so I think my pettiness will fit in nicely. Hope I never cross you at sea but if I do, make sure you tell Davey Jones exactly who sent you (;
This whole video was so relatable, I have to solo and do everything on the ship and I get teamed up on by toxic people that both try to team up to kill me
Skeleton ambushes are just the worst as a solo sloop. I remember getting obliterated and sunk by one once, but then one of the galleons ran into a rock and got stuck. So I used my rowboat and slapped a Chest of Sorrow on their deck before hiding on the side. Turns out they’re not programmed to bucket out water, at least not fast enough. So in the end it was actually more lucrative.
0:10 I counter with solo Galleon, which I do for two reasons: 1) My siblings love the cool pirate ships 2) People are very slightly less likely to attack you
solo slooping as a reaper is one of the most challenging but also fun thing to do in the game pvp is challenging (wich makes is for a player that played for a good while now) very fun its soooo satisfying sinking a emesary galleon while beeing solo
nearly the same exact same thing happened yesterday to me and my friend. we were sailing on a sloop about to sell the loot we got from 2 fortresses at reapers hideout and we got attacked by 3 skeli gallions which sunk us. I stayed at the loot keeping it afloat while my friend got back from a nearby island and we started getting the loot back on the ship while even more skeli ships came to attack. not only this but there were sirens and sharks in the water so all we managed to salvage up was a chest and ashes of the damned on a rowboat.

And beating even a normal sloop takes complete focus and mental fortitude. You die once with them on your ship, it’s over, you get knocked off once from one stupid blunder bomb, it’s over
I expected a guide on how to solo sloop, but the guy retelling tales of his (mis)adventure is much better.
Ye those parrot clowns were some doublegunning sweats. Bet they took down mixel already. Good work love ur content :)
I thought just double gunning made you a sweat I didn't know it was a skill thing 😭
Haven’t even started watching the video yet but that thumbnail is my sea of thieves experience in a nutshell
it really do be like that sometimes
I did a couple of forts and some of those underwater trails yesterday on solo and it was easier than I thought it would be. I mean, it's not a fort of the damned solo or anything but pretty good for me
i'm absolutely loving your content dude. keep it up
Absolutalely outrageous content my guy! Subscribed, and i cannot stop watching your videos man. Cheers!
Literally just got spawncamped by a dark adventerer reaper galleon. Absolutely love this game.
Hey, love your channel bro! You think you can make a video about Ancient Coins?
Love the content Cliff
Aah, another evening to sit back, relax and watch some great content!
As a solo slooper myself the most important thing is to keep your ship afloat that’s how I get everybody
#priorities
Your videos have good re watch value. Love your channel
"As a Solo Slooper you take W's where you can get them!"
Amen to that!
if you enter a fleet and you have two skelly gallys on each side like in the video, use firebombs to put fire on their cannons and the skeletons who try to use the cannons will burn and die fast, i've done those fleets as a solo sloop many times, i think they are pretty fun
I just bought a series X after being a life-long PlayStation user. Figured I should probably give the Xbox’s flagship “social” game a try. I know it’s toxic as hell but I’ve played Ark, Rust, and DayZ so I think my pettiness will fit in nicely. Hope I never cross you at sea but if I do, make sure you tell Davey Jones exactly who sent you (;
As a brand new player that is just waiting for when my friends have time, I feel this.
I love solo slopping. I’m still not too good at the game but have put quite a few hours in. People underestimate the sloop
You've been blessed by The Algorithmic Recommendation brother. Congratulations
This whole video was so relatable, I have to solo and do everything on the ship and I get teamed up on by toxic people that both try to team up to kill me
This dude made me start playing sea of thieves again
Skeleton ambushes are just the worst as a solo sloop. I remember getting obliterated and sunk by one once, but then one of the galleons ran into a rock and got stuck. So I used my rowboat and slapped a Chest of Sorrow on their deck before hiding on the side.
Turns out they’re not programmed to bucket out water, at least not fast enough. So in the end it was actually more lucrative.
As a solo slooper i can confirm this video is 100% accurate
One word: underrated
Solo slooping, that’s me!
Boy do I get bullied in the sea for it.
This is me every day I play, solo slooping forever!
0:10
I counter with solo Galleon, which I do for two reasons:
1) My siblings love the cool pirate ships
2) People are very slightly less likely to attack you
solo slooping as a reaper is one of the most challenging but also fun thing to do in the game pvp is challenging (wich makes is for a player that played for a good while now) very fun its soooo satisfying sinking a emesary galleon while beeing solo
No better way to practise PvP than by putting up a Reaper Emissary that screams "Come at me!"
"There's nothing more difficult of sea of thieves than solo sloop-ing"
People who solo galleon: Am I a joke to you?
nearly the same exact same thing happened yesterday to me and my friend. we were sailing on a sloop about to sell the loot we got from 2 fortresses at reapers hideout and we got attacked by 3 skeli gallions which sunk us. I stayed at the loot keeping it afloat while my friend got back from a nearby island and we started getting the loot back on the ship while even more skeli ships came to attack. not only this but there were sirens and sharks in the water so all we managed to salvage up was a chest and ashes of the damned on a rowboat.
aw. that sucks. did you sink at the reaper hideout? couldnt you put all the treasure on the island?
There was a ton of sirens and sharks surrounding the area and I was one hit by any of them
