But I don't even know if I'm typing or referencing things right I'm a older lifetime gamer hahahaha new to this comment section stuff for the most part. My 1st gaming system was a calico vision I played on a old boombox with 500 dcell battery's I'm a old fart who just enjoys games and my point is anything in excess tends to kill the fun factor and replayability of sandbox games. The super tryhards are just doing their thing and will always be the loudest voice that is heard so it tends to run off the mass avg. Player that spends money. It's like a cow that eats all of its own grass then cry's the farm needs redesigned. Lol
But my perspective of sot is fresh and new I'm PS5 but I've played enough games to see if I play sot for a few more months i will start looking at chain shot like it's a chalice of the gods and will be repairing for hours upon hours which honestly sounds more like a choir than enjoyable. After my 1st 5m gold it's already pretty much irrelevant already and I just don't want the fun factor of sot to die for me. So I play random as I can and the pvp is gg, I just see the 20 chain shot means more than 1m gold closing in fast hahaha
There are obvious reasons why it can't be done. For instance, u are fighting sloop vs sloop, and one of the ships starts running to this port, so that their friends can join and destroy your sloop, while being on a gally.
I'd like to see like 4 changes to Hourglass. 1. Champion battles give significantly more rep and more gold for winning 2. The 6th ships server slot is reserved exclusively for invaders. Defenders can opt in to take a fight earlier than the 30 minute window. The defending bonuses increase your Hourglass turn in rep value more, increases your defending xp significantly more, AND acts as a second Emmissary for your sold loot and Hourglass gold. 3. Achieving a champion streak and every 4 wins after, will now allow you a "safety" net of some sort. Allowing you to get something like 30% of the rep and gold you would for lowering your streak. 4. Hourglass is broken up into 3 phases. Phase 1 is the first 30 minutes of the fifht and plays like normal. Phase 2 shrinks the circle significantly, forcing a 1 broad scenario where you don't have room to turn out and run. This would occur for the 30 to 40 minute mark. Phase 3 is the last phase, the zone shrinks completely over the span of 5 minutes and you are forced to play exclisively in the 2 radius danger zone. You could make it so each phase the loser and winner get a little more rep, but I don't know if thats necessary.
What the Open Crew suggestion will devolve into: "Equip your level 100 curse" "I don't have it" "ok I'm not playing with complete swabbies, goodbye" *person leaves and tries another crew*
Great suggestions my man. I totally support the idea of a guild hideout. I'd also add: 1. More Huter's call content, an emissary maybe? 2. A new sea monster 3. More shanties! All of the shanties in the real world are old folk melodies and texts, which would prolly make it easier with the copyright laws to use them in the game 4. A fiddle 5. New part of the map. 6. Gambling in the taverns to bring more life there
@@microwave1148You can gamble in any multiplayer game if you have two players and a "game" to wager on. You can do it in SoT already with the dice roll emote but it's not very fun. I would suggest a dart board for throwing knives, chess or checkers, and some kinda dice game. Maybe that would make the Taverns and Athena's Hideout a little more enjoyable.
@@michaelvossen7253 not exactly the type of gambiling I was meaning tho lol but I think thoes would be fine and be great but I don't think you could add any real gambiling
One of the major downsides to a live service game is that old content gets pushed into the perma-backburner in favor of new content in order to keep the lights on (and in Rare's case, stave off the threat of a Microsoft-mandated closure). Arena died because Rare could not support it and keep the content flow going. Hourglass may suffer the same fate. Another reason why Hourglass is largely avoided is because some of the absolutely cracked players roflstomp newer players without even giving them a chance to breathe while calling it a "learning experience". You can only learn so little from so many one-sided fights where you have to be cracked to have a shot at winning. Ironically, more players that cover more skill levels have to play Hourglass for the matchmaking to work.
That's why I think some sort of mentor/mentee system would be great for the game. Gives long term players the opportunity to share knowledge with new folks
i understand what you are saying and as someone who is kind of a sweat in hourglass and has definitely seen crappy crews in hg. However, it doesn’t make sense to give these “new players” a fair fight because if you look at it from our perspective, we just want to sink them, get their loot/supplies, get their flag, get our reputation and dive again. i used to suck at hourglass and over the course of a month i got my curse so a loss is actually a learning experience no matter how bad you got destroyed. however hg desperately needs a ranked system so that players can vs players equally as bad as they are in a low rank but not gain as much rep, and as they get better they rise the ranks until they meet their skill level rank and gain a good amount of reputation.
@@actual_ape1126 Fun fact, HG does have a ranked system matching players based on skill! (or win/loss rate) Also a fun fact, it doesn't work due to a lack of players.
@@JonBardcore what hour glass needs is some sort of bubble so other ships can't join the fight, I have played HG a few times only for it to become 2 ships vs 1
@@actual_ape1126 It needs to have a fair fight with set supplies given to ships that join HG & maybe give the losing team gold so it makes them want to try again rather then playing a match for 10-30 mins & get nothing
New player here! Got the game about two weeks ago. I leveled order of souls first, did some island hoping and the gameplay is fun. Exploring is satisfying and the games immersion is very unique. Though being a "solo slooper" felt impossible. I found myself fleeing from every ship on the horizon because nothing good ever came from interacting with anyone. Pvp seemed simply impossible so i got a few of my friends in the game. It was made clear within the first hour however that solo slooping wasnt the only problem. We had a galleon and for two hours two chads in a sloop chased us down and wrecked us time and time again. I get it. Stsrting with a galleon was our first mistake. After that once we got wrecked the thrid time we shoulda switched to safer seas. Lastly we coulda gone to a new server. But all being new players we didn't do any of this. After that i couldn't convice any of my friends to come back. So im still solo slooping and avoiding pvp like a plauge because everyone out classes me so much. Yet have gotten enough gold to buy the cosmetics and thats where the second issue is for me. I get that for balance reasons there cant be progression to improve your ship or weapons but unless you have friends that consistently play there isnt much reason to continue playing. Especially since as a new player and solo slooper pvp is off the table.. it just disappointing because in my opinion the games worst enemy is its player base who have played for the past 6 years. Who makes noobs like me feel like I'm an iron player going agasint a dinond player in league.
Yea I seriously don’t know why it took so long to get on ps5 it’s like just starting seige or for honor with zero prior knowledge of the mechanics of the game let alone the deep knowledge most try hard or veterans in the game would know
@@JonBardcore I've done open crew but it always feels like I'm watching them do all the work as I help. And if we lose I feel like I'm ruining their fun

I’ve recently been doing open crew because I don’t like playing alone. Probably 4/5 matchups I end up re starting the game, but I usually get at least one decent person with a mic and we do shenanigans for a couple hours and have a good time
For the hunters call, I think that it should be an emissary, with voyages. Imagine doing a voyage to go kill a kraken or a meg. Also, imagine an ice region of the map with icebergs you have to avoid, new frozen loot and skeletons,
What if they did season where it was just all old content updates? For me the biggest blemish is Hunter's Call. PLEASE update it! Add land creatures to hunt! Make some of them "rare". Give HC an emissary flag!!!! And for the love of god some more fish cosmetics for that company!
Fishing quests to go collect fish like you do with Merchant animals, except cooking them is required. Deliver 5 Indigo Splashtales to Derick before X day/time.
We need more cursed treasure. I started playing recently and i instantly fell in love with the chest of a thousand grogs when I first found it. There is so much potential for more cursed treasure because they already have a lot of status effects and such that can be really cool. For example a chest that makes you dance, a chest that summons sirens towards your boat, or a chest that acts like a snake. Maybe a chest that gives you a tiny storm that follows you or one that has a skeleton clinging on to it that shoots you when you don’t shoot it first. Cursed treasure is so much more interactive then your plain old captains chests
Before hourglass, I would hang out with Merrick with the dudes playing music in the Pirates legend Tavern. And then with hourglass, all they did was put Merrick behind a door that I can’t open because I fish. Why is the fishing guy behind a PVP wall. That’s not a question that’s just a statement of how ridiculous it is that I have to reach level 100 in PVP to see the leader of the hunters call again. I hunt fish, not players.
I personally just really want them to update or add more to the pirate generator, Add sliders like Age, Weight, and Sex. That'd be a fine addition to the game.
Brilliant idea, I’ve wanted them to add something like that for ages. I like my pirate, It’s my day 1 pirate and I haven’t change it since the games release but It would be amazing to be able to tweak a few things for example; my pirate has no teeth so I would like to give him some teeth maybe a few gold ones, also the game doesn’t have a good grey colour unless your pirate started with grey. It would be great to have the option to be able to change stuff like that.
@@bigtaco4218😂yea most definitely even in pure console lobbies im faced against an Xbox player with a lot more experience than me lol, random PvP in server is usually more equal than the hourglass for some reason.
@@Beniii71 I also would love tl change the eye color, I've ckntacted Rare asking for this and they told me to put it in the forums, but these kinds of requests have been already put there 🤣
The only real issue I have with hourglass is that stupid cutscene you have to watch after every single loss. They really need to make it skipable because that becomes super tedious after a few L's
Honestly would prefer a complete overhaul of hunters call. 1.) fishing nets that can be placed on the back of your ship in place of rowboat this can catch up to 20 random fish passively. 2.) New sea monster like a sea serpent. Allow hunters call to give missions that allow players to hunt certain monster in certain areas. 3.) Add chuming the waters by using meat and fish collected and tossing them into the water via the bucket. This would attract sharks and act as a possible defensive strategy to boarding. 4.) Speaking of sharks. More shark variety. Each shark also behaves differently. 5.) Hunters Call Emmissary
I've been saying since they announced guilds that they need to have guild bases. Decorating your guild hall with trinkets to show off your guilds achievements is a staple in every game that has guilds. I'd also like to see them make it to where you can buy (with game gold) a room upstairs at a tavern to set spawn point at a specific outpost so EVERY TIME you log in you can select that outpost to start your voyage.
They should add a whirlpool in hourglass to shrink the map, imagine two ships forced into a deathspiral, and a points system where you can see the score of the overall war. At the end of the season the team that won the war would get a bonus of sorts.
I also think a rank system for hourglass would be good for the game, it would be nice just to separate people based off skill and maybe get a ranked ring depending on how many seasons your rank peaked
@@attackamo5244 only problem is if rare were to ever do that it'd most likely be similar to the emmisary ledger so itd just be whoever plays the most hourglass
I’m pretty new to the game but I really would love these three things. 1: the guild stuff you mentioned along with your own hub hideout to customize and hang out. Hell I’d love a hang out as an optional lobby before you set sail 2: I think each outpost should have a little quest line you can do to flesh them all out. 3: Gold to store currency conversion. This whole game is about end game cosmetics, but 80% of them are locked behind real cash which honestly kinda kills the game for me personally. Why not have it so for every 100k gold you can get 100 coins or something. It would drive you to play more and add more value to your gold, you know the thing you became a pirate for in the first place?
I absolutely love your idea about adding guild hideouts/forts, and I think it would be an amazing addition. This might be a bit of a stretch, but I feel like it would allow a lot of potential for conflicts between guilds, where players can attack other guilds’ hideouts (something like the legend of the veil where you attack the giant sea fort at the end, but with extra mechanics). When leveling up guilds, you can add on to your hideouts with different cosmetics, defenses, and extra little areas to hang out in. I love the idea of being able to have wars or guild hideouts, but I know that may not work as well as I want it to.
I feel like one way to get way more people on hourglass is to just give people way more supplies. Its discouraging to constantly have to buy your supplies, dive, sink and repeat. It feels horrible
a few changes i would love to see implemented in the game -more curses to grind for, either with tall-tales or other commendations -viking themed season with a frozen ashen curse, (we already have a frozen ashen weapon set) and wintery islands in the SW side of the map since its empty -200 of either GoF or SotF idea: GoF lets you stack another curse, and SotF lets you wear your pirate cosmetics with the skelly curse -weapon cosmetics for the hourglass levels with commendations -fix the horrible pirate generator and make it so we can customize our own pirate instead of shuffling through 8 pirates (ive spent literal hours looking for a pirate that looks somewhat decent) -give us an option to choose which past plunderpass to work on (example: season 13 drops and you can either use the $10 to buy the season 13 pass or season 8. you cannot switch once the previous pass is purchased, and the next time you want to switch would be season 14) -time limit on HG fights, 35 minutes, if no ship sinks then whichever ship received more damage will explode, the winner will get only half rep -new threat, meg and kraken got old quick, would be a crazy opportunity to collab with subnautica and add the leviathan -hunters call emissary. -fix the cosmetic system in the legends hideout where when shopping you are unable to see what the outfit looks on your pirate, idk why this is a thing especially for the cosmetics that cost the most amount of money
as a ps5 player who wanted to play at launch but had to miss out on all the limited time events since release i'd really like a tall tale style voyage or server matchmaking system to be able to replay and experience all that the game has to offer and get some of those bonus items that no longer exist
This seems like a cool idea, I’m on Xbox and started about a year ago and I missed some limited time events and would not be opposed to this. Maybe instead of brining back the exclusive items that originally came with these events they could be reworks of them like a different color or something
My idea for hourglass specifically is to have the zone be normal at 1st. Then after say 10 minutes, both crews get a sound notification and a text notification saying the battle zone will shrink soon. The water around the edge will turn a deep orange color to let both crews know its about to become red sea. This cycle will repeat every 10 minutes until the entire battle zone is red sea and both ships take constant damage until one sinks. This would add a soft time limit to the matches where they don't abruptly end at a certain point but they are encouraged to come to a close. This could lead to a situation where it comes down to who has more supplies than the other boat but you can just make it so holes punched by the red sea cannot be repaired until after the battle is over. Either way, there needs to be a way to help keep our time from being wasted. Neither the winner nor the loser gains anything from needlessly stalling the match besides annoying the other side which isn't healthy for the mode. Had so many games where we fought one battle that took over 30 mins and we just couldn't be bothered to do anymore and lowered the hourglass.
Yea ngl the first couple matches I played took hella long one I just kinda stopped trying as hard and ended up losing but by then I was just tired of queuing up
Personally, I don't like the idea of a full shrinking circle that much. Wouldn't there be a chance that the circle will close in on one ship first and not the other? I don't think it'd be great to have the game decided through supplies either(though I don't think repping red sea holes does that much anyways). Additionally, I'd rather most fights and encounters being closed due to actual fighting and not due to the circle making the players too pressured. You could argue that by making it a timed match, players would come to adapt to strategies quicker and get better at fighting in order to not have a chance to die to the border, but that wouldn't really happen, especially on a more difficult hourglass queue.
@Ayuka368 both ships would have ample warning that the circle is about to close in and thus would need to reposition accordingly. You could even use that to your advantage and shoulder the enemy ship in the closing circle to make them take extra damage to help sink them as they try to escape the red sea zone. It would reward experienced players who have game knowledge and know when the zone is about to begin shrinking while also adding a pressure element to players who just keep running to actually participate and fight instead of wasting time. Supplies are a big part of the fight. Unfortunately unless rare makes it so both sides fight with the same starting supplies that will always be a problem, so it's always in your best interest to stock up as much as you can. The shrinking red sea zone will render having hundreds of pranks useless anyway as you can only turtle for so long before the red sea damage overcomes your ability to repair and you are forced to make something happen or sink. A time limit would certainly encourage more efficient play, but efficient players can already win matches quickly against non efficient players. Where myself and a lot of players have frustration is situations where one side runs or you both can't make any progress on each other. This causes games to drag on and neither side benefits because the system doesn't care about what happened during the match, only how it ended. You could win an hour long battle against turbo sweats and the game will give you the same amount of rep as sinking a noob who just installed which is absolutely ridiculous. Adding a time limit would be much easier than having to code the game keeping track of all the nuances of the battle and allocating rep accordingly.
@@myself8354 i was referring to mast v mast fight. Sometimes fight don’t always take directly in the center of the map. If the border shrinks, one boat will prolly be in the Red Sea death first. I’ve played a number of hourglass games though I don’t see runners and fights with no progress that often either. If you refer to masted fights, then it is kind of like that but not really because you are constantly trying to one up the other boat. Yes, winning sweats not being as rewarding as winning against new players is absolutely bollocks, i would agree. Though I’m not so keen on the idea of having a fight being decided on whoever just dies first because of the border, when you can’t even avoid it.

@@Mrfunniguy4 dude I know right. I used to watch j2jonjeremy in his ck2 days and I went back to the playlist I had saved and saw he deleted the channel :(
My biggest issue is that, when they added instant dives , this is making it way to easy jumping to some solo player instead of allowing, or having them do the work an search for the hunt or kill. to me this takes away from open world sandbox feel, cant count how many times , Iv seen players instant pop up right next to me
It is such a shame that ever since same faction battles, the commendations were not updated and only count if you fight the opposing faction , its as if you're being punished for there not being enough of the opposite faction, it needs to count for every battle you win no matter who you fight

I’m a new player and I tried hourglass and it wasn’t very fun because the person I played just kept running and spinning to where I couldn’t get a shot and I was just trying to get better at pvp
@@JonBardcore I haven’t tried playing it since but I need to try again. I’ve only had a handful of fights and I was destroyed but I accidentally did a fort of Fortune and that’s one of the most highly contested things in the the game so I fought a pretty good duo sloop. Overall I try to avoid pvp unless one of my friends are on because my friends have allot more experience than I do
Great ideas. One thing that my friends and I hate about losing is having to restock the ship again. If there was a faster option to restock everything you need for hourglass, that would definitely help to jump right back into the next match.
Honestly another issue with hourglass is that PVP only for 100 levels is tiring for any non veteran player. Casual players like myself who just got pirate legend after like 4 years of on and off play, just wanna have fun with the progression in the game. But the flaw with pvp centered modes in a game with so much extra content is that it will ALWAYS turn into longtime hardcore players in every match. And with no reliable way to practice ship combat strategies outside of hourglass. It just turns into new or casual players getting curbstomped by high ranks for several hours on end. And whenever you DO try to find an open crew or ask the discord for an hourglass group. They either are looking for higher rep pvp players, or they leave after a single loss and typically torching the new/casual player alive for not doing well.
I think the opportunity here is to incentivize these sort of interactions between heavy HG players and casuals. Make it so that both benefit with boosted rewards, even with a loss, so that the casual has time to learn from the PvPer and the PvPer knows it's in their benefit to stick around
@JonBardcore honestly I agree. There also isn't enough of a reward to losing. You get barely any rep. No tips and or tricks, and instead of going straight back into action, you instead have to sit for a full minute watching your sinking ship, then go to a new server, pray to God you're at an outpost, stock up there and then take off. Even worse since there have been times when I've spawned at a random island with barely enough resources, forcing me to go back to an outpost that could be 10 minutes away. Though this situation happened to me when HG was first introduced so I have no idea if this is still a problem.
@@Chazmo53 some Time After the start of Hourglass it was changed, now EVERYTIME you lose an Hourglass match, you respawn at an outpost, as I do (and lose) in Hourglass pretty often, I Can assure you that
@Feu_Ghost I mean that fixed one of the issues but the other still stands. You are still punished for losing despite the odds mostly being entirely against you. Waiting a minimum of a minute after every loss and then waiting to tp back to a new server, then waiting again to find a match. All with little to no reputation gain. It's hard to feel like you're improving when the game hard punishes you for every missed step. Whereas other pvp centered games give you just enough time to think of a new plan. Plus SoT doesn't have any way of practicing pvp outside of getting mauled by high rep crews. But it would be difficult to make a way to practice outside of just fighting skeleships that don't really put up much of a fight.
@@Chazmo53 fair enough, in the european server, I have the impression Player aren't as absurdly strong as what you are describing, so you get more learning I think, but that is totally subjective and dépendant on the median skill level per geographical zone, so m'y experience probably isn't accurate to most of the SoT playerbase
It seems like you really don't get the whole point of reapers hideout. Never thought about why there is the only spot to sell loot to reapers? Right! Because then it's easier to steal reapers' loot, because you always know where reapers sell. And absolutely the same thing with harpoons, it will make selling much faster, so the opponent crew would have much less time to get to you and steal you treasure. Again, hideout is that way(which is absolutely perfect imo) because the reapers fraction itself is meant to be as contact with other ships as possible
@@shhhoutyeah but a harpoon rowboat solves that and there's already that spot you can ram your ship into to sell faster. Half the time I'll dismount a loot rowboat and have 1-2 sail off in the distance while the rowboat sells
Some servers have a perma camped galleon on reaper 1 at the hideout. Kegs stacked in strategic places. About 1/5 from last 20 or so sessions with 2 or 3 dives. There was one alliance with 2 reaper sloops running around and recruiting other ships to dislodge one such galleon. Not sure how it went as I fucked up and sailed on megakeg and sunk.

on HG: -shrinking circles sounds smart, but rare will have to ad visual clarifiers so any participant knows the circle is shrinking. it wont be difficult, but it is to be noted. -since HG, in contrast to arena is part of adventure mode, less maintinence is needed to keep it running. i would not be suprised if Rare made HG with the possibility to really low player counts in mind. -dont like the idea of isolating HG to its own servers for several reasons. 1): its one of the reasons arena got canned, and 2): playing normally while the hourglass is up to boost treasure grade is so fun.
I feel like something else that deserves to be tweaked about hourglass is how reputation gain works. Assuming it works exactly as intended with matchmaking, the current system of requiring streaks for maximized gains just does not work on a fundamental, conceptual level. With skill based matchmaking working as intended, you're supposed to win and lose in equal amounts, meanwhile hourglass promotes streaks for reputation gain, which is incompatible with the idea of SBMM. I dont even know how they'd properly handle this, like boosting the base reputation gains while reducing the boost for streaks to equalize it out, or what. Also defending generally could use a boost, as is it's so not worth it to go through the hassle of defending due to the effort put in for minimal boosts alongside less frequent matches
i wish some of sea of thieves' content was more fleshed out and intertwined so we could have better hourglass and guild experiences. im hopeful for the future, and beyond hyped for flamehearts return, but i PRAY its something more than just surface level "cool"
I've been out of the hourglass game for a while now after getting my curses. But the shrinking battle zone would be AMAZING. That might actually get me to play some more hourglass.
I think another way to incentivize people to do HG more would be to add some form of bonus rep (and maybe gold) for participating in the mode/match. These bonuses would cap out depending on what they are so you couldn't infinitely farm them or something. They could be shots fired and hit, buckets bilged and damage patched, players fought and killed, and how long have you had the HG up if you're defending. That way, win or lose, you still get more rep than the little bit you get now and it gives people a reason to TRY and engaged with the mode more. I think this would be pretty easy to implement too since they have/had a similar system in arena with earning SeaDog Silver. This, along with some of your ideas, would likely boost how many people want to play the mode. That and give people some extra supplies when they vote up the HG so they have more than just the base supplies, but that's less important than the others.
I like the idea of a day or a time block for boosted allegiance that happens regularly. None of my friends will even consider touching hourglass until gold and glory or community weekend, simply because the allegiance gain doesn't feel worth it unless it's boosted.
Fishing is my favorite part. It is a long term goal that forces me to embrace and enjoy almost every part of the game. I hope they add more fish or similar goals to the hunters call. Im level 36 and i've done it almost solo.
I think we need a bounty rank system that also impacts everything we do the higher your bounty the more difficult the lower your bounty the easier everything is and in hourglass that would mean putting someone that is near your bounty level allowing a more balanced fight
I hopped on hour glass yesterday, bought all my supplies looted a fort for more. Got in a match and was boarded, I got killed and black screened for 8 minutes while my ship got steered out of bounds and sunk. I spawned back as soon as I sunk💀
I've always thought the feeling of being pirates needs to be built upon. Thieving, port raids, multi ship battles over a shipwreck full of treasure, bounty hunting, rope swinging etc. Let's focus on the organic player interactions, whether that's friendly or fighting. We need to feel like Jack Sparrow, Blackbeard etc; this can be through extended ship variants and customisation, noteriety system etc.
I’d love to be able to make a dedicated sparring guild. Welcome in swabbies, gather them together on a server through something like what content creators can do with their zero rewards servers. Have fight nights with people you know won’t be toxic and with people of all skill levels to guide you through pvp so you’re not afraid of it when it happens.
Speaking of improvements, I think it would be nice to introduce some missions based on defending certain places, Port Merrick inspired that though seeing how many cannons u have there.
Wow you absolutely nailed these topics and I agree fully. I started about a year ago and love the game, and that’s not to say there aren’t bugs because there are. Hourglass definitely needs a rework as no body participates in it except those that are very good at it already. And as someone who had to do a guild by myself and get all the levels essentially by myself it took so long to get to 15 so I could definitely see the need for an xp rework based on the number of players in the guild, great video!!!
Love the ideas, however one that I have to strongly disagree with is the suggestion of taking hourglass out of adventure and putting it on different servers. The reason that they decided to remove arena was due to that exact reason. Servers are expensive to run and maintain, and when such an incredibly low amount of players (around 2% if my memory serves me) actually playing it regularly, it simply wasn’t cost effective for them to put twice the amount of money into just 2% while the other 98% play only adventure. You said you don’t want it getting the arena treatment at the start. Hourglass being in adventure is Rare’s way of keeping it permanent without hurting the company costs. (I do agree that a 3v3 or 2v2 ship team battle would rock, but it’s not really possible with the way things have to be)
I don't know if this is still the case though. They've managed to figure out how to give every player their own potential safer seas server so not sure why something similar couldn't happen with HG
I’ve been playing the game since it became available for the ps5 and one thing I would like to see sloop ships get something that gives em a bit more of a advantage against larger ships besides maneuverability like a cannon at the back end of the sloop where players can dock boats for example.
Unfortunately I can only aim the boat’s cannon while docked at only one corner of the back end of my sloop as opposed to one that is attached to the back of my ship.
I agree with almost everything on this list, except for placing hourglass matches on its own servers with pre-determined conditions. I see the reasoning behind it; but a lot of the shenanigans I enjoy watching rely on those matches taking place in the open world, or on the use of rare supplies (toxie balls or the new bonecallers for example; and the black pearl, third party fights and the whole loot stash mechanic as example for open world)
@@JonBardcore Understandable; from the way I understand it Arena had more variety just based on the gamemode though. Hourglass is just 1v1 ship deathmatch, and the only thing that brings variety are the things mentioned above.
I like everything I hear, but I'm not sold on the Hourglass specific servers. I think the cool thing about Hourglass in comparison to Arena, is that it allows players to use all that Sea of Thieves offers to win fights. It's not always balanced, but it makes fights unique from one to another. I like the idea of entering a server in an HG match, and then going on to steal a fort from somebody, it just adds to the experience.
I think that if Rare added a new company or faction into the game that was supposed to be maybe a bunch of historians, they could do something similair to the caverns of time in world of warcraft.
If they added guild islands they should also add a “guild pvp mode” or have friendly fire on. so you can fight your friends without getting any rewards. I think that’s a better alternative then tdm discord servers or pirate fighting simulator
Guild hideouts is one of the things i wish for a long time! i like taking Assassins creed black flag as an example for this. in the end game of black flag you have your own island (on Great Inagua). on this island you have all the normal shops but you have to upgraded it by farming supply's and gold etc... I wish to have this in SOT. imagine having a tall tale server with just the island and allowing us to also UPGRADE the island self by each grade. each guild grade gives us a small island update like allowing us to upgrade the shops, adding cannons to the island etc Guild Grade 10 would be awesome if we could crate a port with it. This also would introduce us to Guild wars. everyone knows Clash of clans how Guildwars is working, every player is picking a base to attack etc. but just imagine you have to invade a other guild base? and they have to protect it with the (island cannons, walls etc) the goal is not to get XYZ kills its more like a dominion until you reach the points, or maybe like a bank heist(robbing the guild treasor).
I think they should just turn the limited time adventures and events into a special type of Tall Tale. Maybe you can frame it like "reliving old memories after crossing the Sea of the Damned" or something like that... Also as an alternative to something like housing: What if you could have a system similar to Captancy but for Guilds? Like imagine being able to own your own Guild Ship, decorated by the memebers of your guild and be able to be "rented" for guild members to use? Maybe implement similarly to Captancy where by gaining guild exp you are allowed to own multiple Guild Ships with uniqie cosmetics to insentivy working together in the Guild?
@@Senan_is_cool24 I spend 3 years on 24fps AND 800x600 DOWNSCALED resolution. But even back then FPS were pretty stable, I feel like performance got worse and worse
@@JonBardcore yh... I switched my cpu and that fixed it pretty much, even tho I still get less fps at Port merrick it's just a 5fps diffrence. Sea of thieves is a very intense CPU intense game, especially when fighting or at Port merrick
For me, (and I understand I am NOT in the majority here) I'd love better thought out Safer Seas content. I'm the type of player who just kind of wants a fun pirate game LIKE sea of thieves where I can hang with friends and do content like they have, but actually be challenged by it, while not having to worry about sweats being on my ass at all times. Possibly having something like limited revives before your ship is scuttled, or anything to add some toughness to the solo side of things, while raising rewards. Make safer seas less... well SAFE, but in turn make it more worth it. Again, I know I'm not in the majority, but that's what would certainly bring me back into the game
One big thing for me is that i have sunk nore to people coming after the fight in hourglass and then sinking in hourglass. Ik its a skill issue, but still
I've been thinking about ideas on how they could change other things in the game. For instance world events. I general buff the loot. With all the new items and such there loot needs a buff. Besides that why not add the raid items to there loot pool as well. Order off soul could be ashen winds, the two ship battles would be merchant and gold hoarder will be the two forts. But what about the Athena, well how about add Fortune events. How FoF is every event in the game can now spawn in a a Fortune version off it's self. Rewards in high tier loot and the chest off Fortune. In these events not only will you get normal raid items but the Athena raid items as well. And yes I believe FOTD can also be fortune events. The fortune skull is what would be needed to activate it as a fortune, can be found in fortune events or randomly in the world. Just 1 off many ideas I would like to see in the game to give life to older content and reduce some of the tedious grind
I feel that hourglass is fairly balanced as it currently stands, as there is currently a pve way to level and a pvp way to level. However, yes the skill matchmaking system does need to be reworked so more fair fights can take place, as idk how many times I've dived only to be matched with some sweat lord player who already has one of the two curses (or both) and only runs and boards you or somehow lands one ball shots EVERY.....SINGLE....SHOT -_- but I get that some ppl are better at certain things in regards to others. As for supplies in battles the game took care of that by itself with the new quest dive system. All ya gotta do is just raid a phantom fort, which gives you round 100 planks of wood, 150 cannonballs, and tons of high tier food. And you can get a fair amount of gold for doing it as well.
- see cool update - want to play - remembers why i quit - hitting a shot is completely random and i could lose hours of progress just because the hitreg and network sucks. I won't take the game seriously nor return to consistently playing until those issues become rare. I don't expect perfection. But good god the game feels near unplayable with how unsmooth it is nowadays.
I don't think that hg should have a shrinking zone. It would prevent people from running but a lot of the sweaty fights were both ships get demasted and the fight drags out for ages would be ruind due to the shrinking zone
Raise the number of players per ship by 1: The sloop is fine as of now, so is the brig, but would definitely need one other crew member; but the galley needs desperately more crew
When they added Hourglass i was happy to try it out and take the opportunity to practice pvp so i can better defend myself and the loot i have on board. Fastforward to today and the truth from it is that if Rare does not do something to make Hourglass better for all players, it will end the same as Arena. its very depresing to be matched against a pvp player that can sink you in seconds of comming out of the water when you barely grab your cannon for example. I really hope they hear and take your suggestions to heart. Like i sayd i want to practice pvp, but with the current state of the Hourglass is not good. I would love to learn from more experienced pvper.
The one thing I really want is a hunters call rework. Maybe a quest or two or the ability to raise hunters call emissary or something. I want to represent my favorite company ;-;
I feel like guilds should have scaled leveling based on how many active players it has. The only people that consistently play sot are me and two of my buddies, so we couldn't get the prestige 10 commendations without grinding for hundreds of hours.
Also i know this is a bug but at the moment you just cant invite people to guilds unless you are ingame with them and get lucky so it would be cool if they fixed that
Here's my idea for hourglass.. open the Sea Dogs Tavern back up!!!!! I want to be able to meet new players and do galleon battles or multi ship battles. It's practically impossibly to find an open crew that wants to hourglass, unless you server hop multiple times. Please Rare, let us have a server hub, i.e. be able to enter or load into the Sea Dogs Tavern and find other people to pvp with.. idc if i can literally walk in and only put my name on a queue list and it'll notify me when a spot is open.. they have to do something for all the solo players that would like to take part in different ship type battles, or even duos that want to sail on larger crews for a change.. utilize that maybe tavern in the center of the map!!!! Also, i love all your other ideas.
And Bardcore, if you somehow see this comment, maybe you can make a video on bringing the Sea Dog Tavern back for that or any other reason. It's my favorite place in the game, and it is crazy that Rare has just kept it dormant for years now, and still has NEVER put it on the map. Shame
Gonna be probably a hot take. But I want ships like the Flying Dutchman. Huge ships that even have triple guns in the front.OR even maybe. Make giant ships the guild's "Guild house"
Greatest feature implemented, but never used again was hunter's call.. Also I really like your ideas with the Guild Island and pledging a faction to your guild. They could really do something like that
Spinal boss fight Needs to happen like now But yeah other than that i started playing this game in 2018 i took one break i came back and and now all i do is say "oh thats new" "Whats that" "Huh?"
Anything that causes HG to move towards being “competitive” will more than likely never see the light of day in SoT, they do not want to make the game a “competitive fps”, it 100% goes against the spirit of the game. Baseline HG as it is doesn’t go against the spirit of the game, even if it is a bit lackluster.
There was a time when SoT was promoted in competitive spaces and though I don't think it'll ever be the same as something like CoD or Fortnite, I don't think it's wrong for wanting more.
@@JonBardcore It isn't wrong to want more or want it to be competitive, I wasn't saying that the hardcore community is wrong for wanting something akin to NAL or Arena, I'm saying that the vast majority of the players are shitters that won't touch pvp-centered gamemodes and Rare has stated explicitly they don't want to develop the game to be like that at all. A symptom of this are the double gun changes, for example. It takes no more than an hour (and that's being extremely generous) to learn how to do the old quickswap cancel, but too many players are SoT moms that don't know how to pvp in an open world pvp game and refuse to learn how to play it properly, and that's why Safer Seas will be expanded over time and I think HG will rot
Don't forget, we stream every Saturday right here on TH-cam & on Twitch over at www.twitch.tv/JonBardcore
Lol
I think this posted in the wrong thread hahahaha
But my perspective of sot is fresh and new I'm PS5 but I've played enough games to see if I play sot for a few more months i will start looking at chain shot like it's a chalice of the gods and will be repairing for hours upon hours which honestly sounds more like a choir than enjoyable. After my 1st 5m gold it's already pretty much irrelevant already and I just don't want the fun factor of sot to die for me. So I play random as I can and the pvp is gg, I just see the 20 chain shot means more than 1m gold closing in fast hahaha
we need to be able to take a ship into a "port" & switch it to a different ship to allow for more friends to join in without quitting a server
Absolutely
There are obvious reasons why it can't be done. For instance, u are fighting sloop vs sloop, and one of the ships starts running to this port, so that their friends can join and destroy your sloop, while being on a gally.
I actually think that would be a good idea, it would level the playing field a bit if you're a newer crew fighting a pro crew on a sloop.
Oh man, this would be epic
Just make sure you can't change ships with other ships in the area
I’ve been saying it for ages WE NEED ANOTHER SEA MONSTER!!!
We need an actually scary and difficult monster. sort of like how the kraken felt in 2019, but it’s now really easy.
What like a leviathan?
I want a devastating whirlpool!
We need a whole rework to the hunters call with new monster included
We need moby dick
After the absolutely INFURIATING match I had yesterday versus a runner, I am 1000% in favor of a shrinking circle in hourglass. 😤
Yeah, those matches can be rough
They can only run so far before they are out of bounds J's is all
That’s an awesome idea 💡
Oh my I've been saying shrinking circle since the first week of it being out
I'd like to see like 4 changes to Hourglass.
1. Champion battles give significantly more rep and more gold for winning
Yeah, I didn't touch on Defensive HG but that needs a whole Lotta work by itself. 🤣
What the Open Crew suggestion will devolve into:
"Equip your level 100 curse"
"I don't have it"
"ok I'm not playing with complete swabbies, goodbye"
*person leaves and tries another crew*
Great suggestions my man. I totally support the idea of a guild hideout. I'd also add:
1. More Huter's call content, an emissary maybe?
2. A new sea monster
3. More shanties! All of the shanties in the real world are old folk melodies and texts, which would prolly make it easier with the copyright laws to use them in the game
4. A fiddle
5. New part of the map.
6. Gambling in the taverns to bring more life there
Man, would love some more Hunter's Call shenanigans to do!
I don't think thru really van do gambiling lol it would hit the age rating up and make it illegal in some places but it would be sick

What if they did season where it was just all old content updates? For me the biggest blemish is Hunter's Call. PLEASE update it! Add land creatures to hunt! Make some of them "rare". Give HC an emissary flag!!!! And for the love of god some more fish cosmetics for that company!
God, I would love to see updates to Hunter's Call. Finished my HC grind in 2021. Been waiting since!
Fishing quests to go collect fish like you do with Merchant animals, except cooking them is required. Deliver 5 Indigo Splashtales to Derick before X day/time.
They said that on PS they will have catch up events for the things we missed.
aww hell no
Don't we already got 4 of every fish in cosmetic wall mounts for ships?
11:57 deep rock galactic already fixed this kind of problem. Let the players go back to previous seasons to complete what they miss for less reward
I personally just really want them to update or add more to the pirate generator, Add sliders like Age, Weight, and Sex. That'd be a fine addition to the game.
There's only so many times you can press "Randomize Pirates" 😅
@@JonBardcore Exactly 😭 I also completely agree about hourglass, I run into people who run a little too often

The only real issue I have with hourglass is that stupid cutscene you have to watch after every single loss. They really need to make it skipable because that becomes super tedious after a few L's
Don't lose so much then
@@mcprice3640 yeah yeah knew someone would type that eventually. Everyone, no matter their skill level loses now and then, so my point still stands.
I do think they need to come up with a way to make the respawning faster. Also quick supplying
That'd be cool!
They should add a whirlpool in hourglass to shrink the map, imagine two ships forced into a deathspiral, and a points system where you can see the score of the overall war. At the end of the season the team that won the war would get a bonus of sorts.
We definitely need more of a fleet battle scoring system going on. That would make the war matter WAY MORE
I also think a rank system for hourglass would be good for the game, it would be nice just to separate people based off skill and maybe get a ranked ring depending on how many seasons your rank peaked
Rare is against making HG competitive though
Interesting, like Bronze, Silver Gold etc?
@@JonBardcore yeah and the highest rank being top 500 and different rewards depending on the faction you rank up
@@attackamo5244 only problem is if rare were to ever do that it'd most likely be similar to the emmisary ledger so itd just be whoever plays the most hourglass
I’m not a fan of that at all
I’m pretty new to the game but I really would love these three things.
1: the guild stuff you mentioned along with your own hub hideout to customize and hang out. Hell I’d love a hang out as an optional lobby before you set sail
2: I think each outpost should have a little quest line you can do to flesh them all out.
That last one would be useful for everyone carrying a bucket full of blue doubloons!
Oooooh, I really like that concept!
I feel like one way to get way more people on hourglass is to just give people way more supplies. Its discouraging to constantly have to buy your supplies, dive, sink and repeat. It feels horrible
This is the problem, the downtime between fights.
a few changes i would love to see implemented in the game
-more curses to grind for, either with tall-tales or other commendations
-viking themed season with a frozen ashen curse, (we already have a frozen ashen weapon set) and wintery islands in the SW side of the map since its empty
-200 of either GoF or SotF idea: GoF lets you stack another curse, and SotF lets you wear your pirate cosmetics with the skelly curse
-weapon cosmetics for the hourglass levels with commendations
-fix the horrible pirate generator and make it so we can customize our own pirate instead of shuffling through 8 pirates (ive spent literal hours looking for a pirate that looks somewhat decent)
-give us an option to choose which past plunderpass to work on (example: season 13 drops and you can either use the $10 to buy the season 13 pass or season 8. you cannot switch once the previous pass is purchased, and the next time you want to switch would be season 14)
-time limit on HG fights, 35 minutes, if no ship sinks then whichever ship received more damage will explode, the winner will get only half rep
-new threat, meg and kraken got old quick, would be a crazy opportunity to collab with subnautica and add the leviathan
-hunters call emissary.
Oooh, like the idea of Red Sea damage!
Sorry for the out of place question but from what I gathered by looking at old tweets and messages this channel is the successor (made by the same guy) as a now deleted channel called J2JonJermey and I wanted to ask if those old videos were ever archived anywhere or were they could be found. Again sorry for the out of place question but could not think of anywhere else to ask.
@@Mrfunniguy4 dude I know right. I used to watch j2jonjeremy in his ck2 days and I went back to the playlist I had saved and saw he deleted the channel :(
Ngl I dropped the game all last year when they were doing all that Monkey Island stuff. Never cared less about a crossover in my life.
My biggest issue is that, when they added instant dives , this is making it way to easy jumping to some solo player instead of allowing, or having them do the work an search for the hunt or kill. to me this takes away from open world sandbox feel, cant count how many times , Iv seen players instant pop up right next to me
It is such a shame that ever since same faction battles, the commendations were not updated and only count if you fight the opposing faction , its as if you're being punished for there not being enough of the opposite faction, it needs to count for every battle you win no matter who you fight
we should also get guild rings for each distinction i think that would be neat
Oh man, I totally forgot about that one. Yeah, it's rough when you come up from the sea just to find a battle for honor. 😭
Bro I'm 2 week's trying to finish the Lechuck fight.... after the cutscene my character is stuck and I have to close the game, I don't find any method for end this quest... They have to fix this minor bug before add serious update ...
I have heard about this from others. I am sure Rare is working on a fix
I’m a new player and I tried hourglass and it wasn’t very fun because the person I played just kept running and spinning to where I couldn’t get a shot and I was just trying to get better at pvp
Yeah, HG is definitely rough at times. How are you feeling about PVP now?
@@JonBardcore I haven’t tried playing it since but I need to try again. I’ve only had a handful of fights and I was destroyed but I accidentally did a fort of Fortune and that’s one of the most highly contested things in the the game so I fought a pretty good duo sloop. Overall I try to avoid pvp unless one of my friends are on because my friends have allot more experience than I do
your entire hourglass segment was spot on, hopefully rare get cooking.
Thanks Golm! Here's hoping some changes are coming.
Great ideas. One thing that my friends and I hate about losing is having to restock the ship again. If there was a faster option to restock everything you need for hourglass, that would definitely help to jump right back into the next match.
I imagine having a giant fortress as my guild base.
Well, it would actually be ours. For everyone.
@@Lunamoon_001 but would you be in my Guild?
@@JasonLucio-g2h I'm in so many guilds... it really keeps me busy.
@JonBardcore honestly I agree.
We all agree that @JonBardcore is a amazing and one of the best sot TH-camrs in the community. Hope you have a great day 😊
I hope they put harpoons at reaper’s hideout
Flameheart can't afford harpoons
@@JonBardcore I give Flameheart 10 FOTDs a weekend and he STILL won’t add them to his hideout, wtf is he spending all of the money on?

Thx
These are all great ideas, and honestly I hope all of these issues get addressed sometime soon. Most of these features have been neglected badly, and as a side note, REALLY hope they do SOMETHING to update the quest boards too
Poor Quest Board... 😭
I just started playing on PS5. I created a guild. I have a friend that plays with ne also on PS5. I am unable to invite them to my guild. It always tells me I have no friends 😢. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
on HG:
-shrinking circles sounds smart, but rare will have to ad visual clarifiers so any participant knows the circle is shrinking. it wont be difficult, but it is to be noted.
I am trying out more defensive HG stuff and admit that it is pretty neat, yeah
Hmmm, you know hadn't thought about it that way but you do have a point!
just hopped on after a 100 day break, everyone still runs from solo sloop and its hard to give my loot to people lmfao
i wish some of sea of thieves' content was more fleshed out and intertwined so we could have better hourglass and guild experiences. im hopeful for the future, and beyond hyped for flamehearts return, but i PRAY its something more than just surface level "cool"
Individually the systems are fine but they really lack the magic of working cohesively together that other games have nailed.
imagine for the guilds, you could have raids on a fort that all the guild members like hangout on
I've been out of the hourglass game for a while now after getting my curses.
Interesting, perhaps could lead to more activity than just straight loss farmers or dice rollers
@@JonBardcore That's my thought. You cap it so people can't abuse it much, but it would give reason to participate more, in the mode and in the fights
I like the idea of a day or a time block for boosted allegiance that happens regularly.
None of my friends will even consider touching hourglass until gold and glory or community weekend, simply because the allegiance gain doesn't feel worth it unless it's boosted.
Yeah, many other players feel the same
Havinf guild rep scale with players would be amazing. My guild is just me and two other friends so getting rep is almost impossible.
Why does the white eye change sides in different thumbnails

Fishing is my favorite part. It is a long term goal that forces me to embrace and enjoy almost every part of the game.
I hope they add more fish or similar goals to the hunters call. Im level 36 and i've done it almost solo.
We desperately need a Hunter's Call update with more fish, sea creatures and missions!
@@JonBardcore for sure.
Diferent size fish, not only trophy and regular.
8 minute black screen? RiP
@@JonBardcore yes bro it was crazy
I've always thought the feeling of being pirates needs to be built upon. Thieving, port raids, multi ship battles over a shipwreck full of treasure, bounty hunting, rope swinging etc. Let's focus on the organic player interactions, whether that's friendly or fighting. We need to feel like Jack Sparrow, Blackbeard etc; this can be through extended ship variants and customisation, noteriety system etc.
We just need more than 5-6 ships per server. Maybe there can be like 2 modes, 1 with the normal 5, and 1 with like 15 ships in a server
Would love to see some sort of port raid system. There's something I want to point to that SoT could take notes from in a future video!
@@JonBardcore I want skull and bones and sea of thieves to have a perfect baby together
An open crew/lfg for hourglass would be nice,i have to solo sloop because i cant find amyone else that wants to do it
Yeah, a lot of people have just opted out
Im imagining a ship crab as a bosd that goes from land to water
There are cannon rowboats you can find out there in the world that give sloops a second cannon!
Unfortunately I can only aim the boat’s cannon while docked at only one corner of the back end of my sloop as opposed to one that is attached to the back of my ship.
You should try to stack 1M worth of kegs lit video idea
I agree with almost everything on this list, except for placing hourglass matches on its own servers with pre-determined conditions. I see the reasoning behind it; but a lot of the shenanigans I enjoy watching rely on those matches taking place in the open world, or on the use of rare supplies (toxie balls or the new bonecallers for example; and the black pearl, third party fights and the whole loot stash mechanic as example for open world)
That's fair. It really depends on your personal flavor. I just really like the way Arena had set supplies for all.
The guild Hideout idea is basically exactly how FFXIV does it's Free Company Housing. It's great.
I just want a private server like safer seas but with all content unlocked and no gold debuff, why should i be forced to play with other players ?
I really badly want ship cosmetics added to Hourglass. Ontop of more skelecurse cosmetics I want more ways to show my journey through my ship
I think that if Rare added a new company or faction into the game that was supposed to be maybe a bunch of historians, they could do something similair to the caverns of time in world of warcraft.
Idea, guild wars where two entire guilds face off in one server of open seas.
Sot can barely handle 3 sloops near each other let alone a6v6 ship fight
Oooooh, very interesting concept here!
The hunters call should be updated to give us quests to go out and hunt sea monsters
I'm still annoyed that my Guild Crest can't be my Guild sails or even my guild. Emissary flag. 😭
3:45 hour of allegiance, I love it
Yeah, just a short boost. But enough to increase overall HG playtirm
They need to fix outpost PERFORMANCE, when I come near to Port Merrick, I go from 200 frames per second to what feels like 200 seconds per frame.
Your lucky you even get 200 Frames
I spent 6 year's on 30
@@Senan_is_cool24 I spend 3 years on 24fps AND 800x600 DOWNSCALED resolution.
But even back then FPS were pretty stable, I feel like performance got worse and worse
That's so interesting. Merrick's not that bad for me. What are you running?
@@JonBardcore yh... I switched my cpu and that fixed it pretty much, even tho I still get less fps at Port merrick it's just a 5fps diffrence.
Sea of thieves is a very intense CPU intense game, especially when fighting or at Port merrick
I really like the guild idea especially if we can decorate our own islands
Ik its a skill issue, but still
Like, they come up on you all of a sudden when you're gathering supplies?
@JonBardcore yeah. After I win the fight someone is always showed up after. I've sunk more to those people then fighting in the hourglass
I think hourglass is being sabotaged with the spawns being largely one sided being the newest tactic to get it abandoned
I like these hourglass ideas and I hope that this video can get to rare
Hey, thanks a lot!
I think that the raids gave a nice breath of fresh air to world eventa but yes, more work to be done here.
I love using the Lords of the Sea checkpoint for supply runs!
That Mod u talking about for HG was Arena.
Thank you so much for talking about some of th issues with Hourglass, it's refreshing to see!
You are so welcome! I just wanted to let out some grievances in a polite and helpful manner.
@@JonBardcore You did an excellent job doing so! Hopefully Rare listens.
- see cool update

- hitting a shot is completely random and i could lose hours of progress just because the hitreg and network sucks.
Raise the number of players per ship by 1:
The sloop is fine as of now, so is the brig, but would definitely need one other crew member; but the galley needs desperately more crew
I hope something like a mentor/mentee system does come one day!
The one thing I really want is a hunters call rework. Maybe a quest or two or the ability to raise hunters call emissary or something. I want to represent my favorite company ;-;
Hunter's Call represent!
I feel like guilds should have scaled leveling based on how many active players it has. The only people that consistently play sot are me and two of my buddies, so we couldn't get the prestige 10 commendations without grinding for hundreds of hours.
It's definitely a tough one and something that I think Rare can do better with.
definitely would love it if hourglass was on its own server that would be nice
I just think it provides a lot of opportunities thrre
Also i know this is a bug but at the moment you just cant invite people to guilds unless you are ingame with them and get lucky so it would be cool if they fixed that
Ooof, yeah. Guild invites are rough
Shame
I do hope they do something with it. Have a great many memories there. 😁
Tavern over underwater diving montage any day!
They could really do something like that
Man I need some more Hunter's Call in my life. 😁
CARDS! There needs to be a card table on the brig and galleon. It would be such a vibe to play poker or something while sailing open waters
WOULD LOVE to see this

Needs to happen like now
But yeah other than that i started playing this game in 2018 i took one break i came back and and now all i do is say "oh thats new"
"Whats that"
"Huh?"
It takes no more than an hour (and that's being extremely generous) to learn how to do the old quickswap cancel, but too many players are SoT moms that don't know how to pvp in an open world pvp game and refuse to learn how to play it properly, and that's why Safer Seas will be expanded over time and I think HG will rot
open crew hourglass queuing is probable one of the best suggestions I've ever heard for this game
Thanks! I hope Rare is listening
