Whoever made the decision to upload this series on TH-cam and made this free for us to watch, I thank you. This show is an inspiration for us who likes to go to the outdoors. And for me, was instrumental for overcoming my depression due to the lockdown. Thank you so much 😁😁 ❤️❤️ from the 🇵🇭
40-50 years ago I read about the multi story tall shot towers that were used to produce commercial shot. When I saw this when it originally aired, I was thinking WTF? Anything with Ronnie and his fancy dogs is gonna be good.
That English guy was cracking me up, love seeing someone get on Steve the way he gets on other people. Steve takes it all in stride and used it to advance his shooting. That's what it's all about
Growing up in VA, when I was a kid I was my dad's bird dog during dove season. He got me my first dove gun, a 20g, when I was 8 years old. For those who dove hunt, it's a deep tradition and helluva lot of fun.
@@ipdjbt fairly mild. You can cook them with no seasoning and they still taste good. Poppers are a tradition but I also like to bake them with butter, onions, pepper, garlic, salt and pepper
@@ipdjbt I sure don’t find them gamey, mostly just a mild “fowl” taste...like Jaymes said, they are super universal to cook with too. I like to fry mine up like little nuggets and season them according to the day’s taste preference
When I was a kid, I shot a old single shot 16 gauge. I learned to shoot a .22 pistol and my dad told me I need to learn to hit birds on the fly with a .22. I learned very well. I can hit those discs now with my M1911.
I’ve been waiting for s6 for so long… binge watched ever episode I could online and on tv services and now I’m finally getting the last season I haven’t seen.
Meateater’s is providing new ideas and helping invigorate wild game preparation. It used to be very difficult to find excellent recipes and methods of preparing wild game. There was a enormous need for a modernization of Natural food preparation. Bravo !
As a guy that has never hunted in my life and has had the opportunity to watch shows like this, specially meatEater, I find myself always enjoying the quality hunting content you guys work so hard on so guys like me can say hey this is new to me as a human being why not have a open mind towards it. Watching this episode brought me a sense of community that other shows fail to provide, when everybody is out there shooting doves, it seems so damn fun wel you guys can all come together and do what you love best.
I tell u what. The episodes with Ronnie are my favorites. Dude is hilarious. Between the farting, jokes and mishaps (falling in other episodes and getting stung). It is pure entertainment.
My buddy and I used to skip school September 1st for the WV dove opener and our dads would take us. Half the time we’d run into most of our teachers out there
Thank you Steve for the memories. I used to love dove hunting and I so miss it. It was always the kick off to hunting season here in Georgia. Always loved the breast with jalapeño and bacon on the grill. Your the best.
I don’t know if I’m a true fan or not, but I have seen this episode twice on tv, and now once on the TH-cams, also have listened to every podcast and still get excited at the reruns on you tube every time I see one. This is hands down one of my favorite episodes. I also live in texas and work in Michigan and the no dove season BOGGLES my mind!
This is my holy grail I love the 16 gauge. I love dove hunting cooking and rare bird dogs. You have nailed it sir not to mention I 've been everywhere in this country and think the Shannondoha valley is one the most beutiful places in it.
Hunting doves in Johnston County, NC are some of my earliest hunting memories. Good times. We don’t have a season here in Maine but they often land in my garden to forage around. Makes me hungry every time.. and I remind them how lucky they are.
The shotgun bug is real. I have it. After a while that shotgun will collect stories and memories that you can pass down to your kids and keep it going.
As someone who works at a Gunclub, I totally understand the instructor. And dove hunting is absolutely a ritual here in south And yes I do prefer my Franchi 16 gauge to all other guns for dove and upland bird hunting.
I’m so glad you uploaded this episode! It’s one of my favorites! Watched it 5 times in a row when I found it. Here in AZ it’s perfect timing for the dove season opens on September 1st!👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
As a Michigan woodsman, I want to experience this sometime. We came close, once, briefly, then the uninformed ended it all for us. I was saddened by it then, and still am to this day. Thanks for taking us along with you and your crazy friend Ronnie.
Dove hunts are the most fun, lackadaisical hunts there are. You sit around with your friends and family and chit chat and shoot birds. Then everyone gets together for supper afterwards.
This show is such an inspiration. Guys like Steve coming on Joe Rogans show were a huge part of me becoming a hunter here in Sweden. It would be super cool if Steve would travel here someday for a traditional moose (or any kind) of hunt! Cheers, thanks for the inspiration!
Gosh I love this episode it's so fun. I love anything with Steven Rinella. I subbed years ago just from one video of him eating bear cooked in bear fat but never watched. I was like he reminds me of a cooler version of my friend's older brother. Now I've watched so many of these hunting videos and they're* entertaining, thought provoking, and informative. Nice!!!!

Totally. This is very generous. So much quality for free.
they are all available on themeateater.com tho, also there u dont have to wait for them to upload one episode at a time.
@@admir2323 Oh, thanks! I did not know that, but I guess it was for the best because if I did, I would just watch it all in a day or two 😂
Thank Steve ! Hes the man in charge
I actually.... moved out of California to start hunting.
Best line: “Alright, let’s pick up shells.” Respect. I wish everyone had this respect.
It’s not about respect, it’s about saving $$. He reloads them
@@leomidure it is def about respect, this is such a respectful hunting show for sure
I hate it when I go out hunting and there are shells all over the ground.
If it was respect, they wouldn't be using lead
@@liamfisher917 fair. i wondered the same, suppose its harder to melt steel at home.
Ron is the best! He checks his cell phone, gets stung by a bee, stomps out the bee, and then quickly grabs his shotgun and shoots down a dove. LMFAO
The lead dripping out into shot is wildly satisfying

You should pre-heat those casting molds (muffin tins) so you don't get steam explosions like that.
Yeah cold molds with hot lead makes condensation that pops pretty good plus no safety glasses.
When he got stung by that bee that was hilarious
Good on him for not having his gun in his hands as he was doing his "hot brass dance" too!
That bee sting was hilarious!! 🐝🐝🐝
