Rosie, you are the best instructor on the internet. You speak clearly and show all steps so that anyone can follow. Another great job and video. Thank you for sharing your skills. (by the way, I’m an experienced sewer so my words are not exaggerated).

I agree, Liz! She gets straight to the point and explains everything.. EVERYthing. I appreciate it so much, and she has me spoiled. Doing other people’s patterns just don’t work very well for me!

I really enjoy your style of instruction. I've been sewing for about a year; I am only a confident beginner. You explain things that give me a-ha moments. I learn why things should be done when watching your videos. I was telling my mom that you are one of my favorite people to follow regarding sewing because I know I can always learn from you.

Love the bag and your worksheets are fantastic. Just a thought is it better to just sew the bottom of the outside of the bag first then sew the 1/4 inch to keep the seams down. It saves trying to fight it through the machine when the side seams are stitched.

Thank you and thanks for watching. Yes...you can do it the way a you suggested and it works out much better on a smaller bag. For the size bag I did in the video and the materials I used, it is not hard at all to do it all at once.

I made my first one of these yesterday and another today and I will be making more. It’s an outstanding bag. I used a good weight calico on the outside and for lining and combined with a medium weight woven fusible, the bag is super sturdy and stands by itself. The only thing I did different was to add two more lines of stitching on the handles and I sewed the boxed corners of the outer and lining together before I turned. It’s such an easy pattern but the results are so high end, simple and chic. Thank you so much for sharing x

Thank you for your very kind comments and for letting me know you have made the bag. I always like to hear that people are making the projects. Sewing the boxed corners of the lining and exterior together is great to do as it holds the lining in place. I showed how to do that in one of my other bag tutorials. Thanks for watching!

I’m going to make one of these tomorrow. I’ve made quite a few tote bags. You do a few things differently, so thanks for the tutorial! I’ll be on the lookout for the tutorial that adds a recessed zipper to the tote!

I was very excited to see your tote bag calculator near the start of this video but am not sure which video you refer to from "a couple of months ago" so I can find it. Also I think you mentioned a website but there's no link above or on your main channel page. Help?!

OK, there was a popup link at the end of this video. Found it, thanks. Great tutorials, by the way. Very clear.
