As an owner of a V6 mustang, i will not buy a muscle car without a V8 ever again. To some a v6 muscle car may be exactly what they want, but to me, there are just more fun sports cars out there with 4 cylinders or v6 motors. I truly believe these muscle cars were just meant to have the v8. For the sound and feel of it alone. The v8 just feels like freedom to me
when i got my first "sports car" when i was 17 it was a ECO-boost Mustang. I regretted it 2 months in after learning about cars, ive now owned many scat packs and a mustang GT. ill never get a I4 or V6 in a Muscle car again. Like u said their are better V6 and I4 cars like a 370Z or a BMW.
Yes I agree a little v6 just doesn't make much torque compared to a bigger v8. And as for ford they need a bigger v8 because that little 5.0 doesn't make much low end either
Trust me, ALWAYS get the v8 so you won't be disappointed down the road. I've tried owning v6 and 4 cylinder turbo cars in the past and modified them and they still weren't as fast as most v8 cars. Just spend the extra money so you can be truly happy.
I had the v6, upgraded to the rt, but soon realized I was over my head with insurance, registration fees and the price of gas. Everyone feels the economy but North of the border we're paying close 8$ a gallon. Absolutely ridiculous. I had to trade in the rt for my gt. Ain't nothing like a hemi, but ya gotta do what you gotta do. Always great content Paul.
I bought a v6 years ago. I wasnt anything close to a car guy i just wanted a cool looking car at the time. 7 years later and im a total gear head and drive a pcp scat shaker. It all started with the v6. Theyre great cars and dont deserve any of the shade they get from car guys.
@@theparagon4550 that simply tells you you need to be careful with the components of the car. You need stronger parts to handle the power. That’s common sense if you build cars
@theparagon4550 it's all in the tune whether it runs nicely or not. It took awhile but it was finally dialed in. The car ran like it was brand new after the tune was perfect. I didn't do any engine work, as I was only putting out 6.7 PSI but if I continued the build, I would've upgraded engine components and increased the PSI. Could get up to about 700-800 Horsepower from the V6 pentastar believe it or not.
I bought a 300 V6 for the gas I had a old beater truck. My buddy got a charger R/T it's just faster than my V6 but man he paid a thousand more. And for the v8 of mine in good condition was quite a bit more than the R/T. Looks like I just have to save for a SRT8
I live in the colorado mountains so v8 rwd is not an option. The v6 awd is a beast in the snow. Been making payments for a year. Really want to get it supercharged next spring. Good video
The Procharger kit is actually $7K (you need to buy the tuner separately) and bumps you to 440hp and 450tq on 7 psi and straight pump gas. The RIPP kit runs those numbers at 10-12 PSI. I've had 2 5.7 R/T 6-speeds and on my 2nd GT. I prefer the GT because it weighs almost 400 pounds less and with the amount I drive (35K+ a year) getting 37 mpg on the highway instead of 25 or so makes a big difference. I have the same fresh air setup that T/A has and a Borla S-Type system on it, which sounds awesome! At sea level it does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. I have a 3.70 LSD that I'll be installing in the next couple of months when I rebuild the suspension which will help that out. The only reason I'm looking at supercharging mine is to make up for the altitude I live at - 5000 feet, which hurts any NA car. Doing that will make it easily quicker than an R/T and also at least equal to an NA Scat at altitude. People hammer the Pentastar all the time, but when you drive a GT with the 4-piston Brembos and HD suspension, you see what a great driver these cars can be.
Your numbers seem off. I know people that got 575hp and 516tq out of the pro charger kit at that price. I dunno if you can run that Ripp kit at 10-12 psi on stock internals. 7 sounds more safe to me on stock 5.7 motor
The entire point of the Challenger/Charger/300 (LX) IS the V8. I don't care how fast you make the V6, it won't touch the feel of the V8. If I wanted a blown 6, I would go BMW all day long over any blown Chrysler V6. But I appreciate the content because many others won't feel the same way. Great work Racer X - you are the best
I personally went with the GT bc I don’t race so I don’t care about a ton of HP and I deal with Canadian winters😂but I’m also a huge fan of the Challenger style and history so it was the perfect option for me. More than enough power and efficiency to cruise around in every day and still have that muscle car styling.
Congrats bro this was my same exact thought and you save plenty gas money , i did upgrade to the RT bc i was a phene for that v8 rumble that i didn’t get in my sxt , nonetheless bro that’s the perfect car for you and in sure it’s beautiful. Don’t listen to the losers who don’t even have challengers 😂
@TOKESMcGOAT it’s still the only option that has the looks of a muscle car. I personally think it could be considered a muscle car, albeit a v6 muscle car, purely because it’s still a challenger. American manufactured, more horses than most muscle from the past, and backed by the history and look of a challenger, just a more efficient version.
I love the b5 with the full satin and side stripes. The grill also looks more aggressive. I think the V8 is totallt worth it just based on appearance alone
I purchased the GT because of the AWD option. Where I live it's more practical then just the RWD. I will be adding a super charger in the near future but don't think you have to, the V6 is not bad and at 80 mph its only at 2k rpm
Yes I have the Jeep with the 3.6 and 6MT and she is geared pretty tall. 85 mph and she's putting at 2100 rpm 😇😇😇 First gear is short then 2-5 are tall and 6 is short
When i got my first "sports car" when i was 17 it was a ECO-boost Mustang. I regretted it 2 months in after learning about cars, ive now owned 5-6 scat packs and a 16' Mustang GT. ill never get a I4 or V6 in a Muscle car again. Like someone said their are better V6 and I4 cars. for example like a 370Z or a BMW.
Same bro. I had a heavily modified ecoboost mustang and it would still get beat by the 5.0 etc. Now I have a modded scat pack that I can truly enjoy. Now that being said nothing is ever fast enough but atleast I have a good platform 👍
@10:55 The LS1 F body’s were underrated by GM. They made closer to 330hp-345hp and ran mid to low 13’s. Also they made about 80 more ftlbs of torque than that V6, and the F body is about 600lbs lighter! Stock for stock performance wise they’re just as fast as the RT trim..
💯 in stock form the R/T 5.7 Challengers and Chargers are slow. Theres a video on TH-cam of an old 2003 E500 Benz with 302hp gapping a 5.7 challenger lol.
We once did an SST twin turbo kit on a 5.7 Challenger R/T. The regular 5.7 and the V6 do not have forged pistons. SST said to not put anything over 6 PSI of boost on the 5.7. We had the car on the dyno and it was making right around 450 at the wheels with just under 6 PSI. The dyno operator asked us if we would like to go higher than that, and as soon as the car went over 6 PSI on a pull it backfired and started missing. We found parts of the pistons and rings behind the mufflers. Moral of the story, If you really want to go fast be carful with the lower performance HEMI cars and V6 cars, the pistons are know to be made out of butter. Even the 6.4 has cast pistons...
Piston ring end gap is the killer. If you are adding boost, you really need to open up the gap to handle the added heat and cylinder pressure. As soon as the piston ring expands too much, it binds in the cylinder breaking the ring and the piston land. With proper ring gaps, E85, and a good tune, it's surprising just how much power you can get out of stock parts.
@@button-puncher If you are going to have pull the engine out of the car you might as well put a set of forged pistons and then gap your rings wider for boost. It would make no sense to pull the engine and disassemble it to just gap the rings a little wider and keep the stock cast piston. After the engine in that Challenger broke the pistons we pulled it, put a stroker kit on it with forged crank, rods and pistons and gapped the rings for boost. The car was still a problem as the guy that owned the car wanted a big cam in it, and that thing would not idle with the big cam, and back when this was being done, which was well over 10 years ago, no one really knew how to tune the thing correctly to get it to idle right.
@@72442conv You just have to pull the heads and pan to get the pistons out to gap them. You're right, it's a lot of work just to keep the stock parts. Considering the crazy prices for forged V6 rods and pistons, I'll make the time just to gap the rings. I hear ya on tuning for a crazy idle. Also adds to the difficulty of getting a good tune.
Id honestly opt for the v6 charger. 300+ hp is already plenty of power to start with, and mpgs and car insurance makes a moderate to big difference in your personal budget. Maintenance costs are also a moderate factor, would you rather change 7 qts. of oil and 16 sparkplugs or 5 qts. of oil and 6 plugs?
I had an rt thing was a beast with just an intake headers and a tune a supercharger would make the rt pretty crazy i was going to do that but then i found my dream spec hellcat for 60k last October there was no passing that up. Great video man.
@@DodgeChallengerGuy007 likely lighter too, I just wonder what weak links there are in the v6 models that are stronger in the v8's? Trans, rear, etc...
RacerX did a video of a supercharged v6 racing his previous scat and it still lost. It's just not worth it. May as well put that extra money towards a better performance car.
I have to tell you there’s a lot of good deals on those right now! I wish I could buy one. I just have no interest.. Hellcat or no go baby! Although I’m starting to see dealers discount, the remaining hellcats big-time! Cool upload brother🤘 Hope all is going well
We have a 2023 Dodge Charger RT Scat Pack Widebody with the 392 Hemi V8 in it with 485 HP and 475 Ibs of Torque and man its a freakn beast and gotta love that Hemi V8 sound as well.
I used to have a Charger SXT plus i thought about supercharging it but i end up trading it for Challenger r/t plus and im definitely gonna supercharge it and tbh i really love that v8 power and torque there’s nothing like it, i definitely recommend the v8 over the v6.
Wife went from an SXT with Awd, to an RT 6.4, insurance went up by....wait for it.....nine dollars. Yup just 9 bucks. Biggest downfall of the 6.4, TRACTION! Basically, the stock goodyear eagle RS-a tires are about as grippy as a linoleum floor thats just been mopped. I can cruise at 35mph and smash my flipper down on the go pedal and lose the backend like its nothing. Waiting for warmer weather to see if the grip increases but i dont hold alot of hope truthfully.
When I was shopping between the RT and the Scat Pact insurance quotes for 6 months were $1100 for the RT and $2000 for the Scat. I tried a few different insurance companies. Can I ask which insurance company you have for little to no difference in your premium coverage?
@@garybishop4030 Still on stock 245s, been looking at Nitto, would love to go bigger than 275, but dont want to replace all 4 rims to keep them matching. I only wonder if the non widebody can take bigger than 275?
Drive what you like, like what you drive. Have fun and be proud of what your hard work has provided you. With that said, my son sold his 2016 v6 mustang and got a 2019 GT. Now i want one and after driving both im not looking at the the V6's.
Love my Last Call ‘23 Charger R/T, with barely over 1200 miles on it now. Damn sure didn’t buy it new for $62k!!(Thats just INSANE for an R/T😑) I’m still getting used to her and that lovely sounding Hemi. I’ve never driven the V6 GT but I hear they’re no slouch for a 6-bag. Whatever works for ya! 🏁
Depending on your foot the gas mileage in the 5.7 is not as bad as I thought it would be. I can average between 23-25 mpg. Only thing is the extra cost in the 89 fuel
I bought a new V6 Challenger back in February. Fell in love with the car while driving a loaner version of it. Unfortunately, I didn't anticipate that after purchasing a V6, I would dive into the world of cars and develop an undeniable craving for that V8 sound and rumble. I literally have dreams about it. I couldn't care less about speed. The 303 hp in the V6 is enough to give me some thrills, but it's too quiet. Now I just need to find a way to trade up to the 5.7 with as minimal damage as possible to my finances 😅
@@DodgeChallengerGuy007 I've listened to hundreds of V6 exhaust mod videos. Unfortunately, none of them can quite capture that raw, deep aggressive tone of the V8.
@@onesent548 Okay here let me enlighten you. I am a part-time mechanic and there’s nothing you can do to change the way the 3.6 pentastar sounds just because that engine was designed differently with smaller bores and displacement. However! That doesn’t mean it can’t sound good. I personally own a 3.6 alongside my 22 redeye and it can be pretty loud without sounding like a v8 because it’s not a v8
Owned 3.6, 5.7, and 6.2 super. Driven all including 6.1 and 6.4. Loved my GT 3.6. I'm the biggest Challenger fan I know (not including online of course, I mean in my town). Get the V8. Always. Especially if they're both new. Don't kill a warranty for no reason.
@@TridentRushed If money is a factor, keep the 5.7 for now because it's also the most reliable of the V8s. I used to feel sad that I'd never gotten a Scat Pack, but now that I have a Hellcat I don't regret a thing. Save up for sure. There will be healthy low mileage garage queen Hellcats for years to come.
Both the wife and I want a Scat Pack Widebody. But the insurance is what’s holding us back. I refuse to pay over $200 a month just to add that to my policy. So we found a way around it…. Kinda. We already own a 2021 Ram 5.7 1500….. insurance only cost me $100.86 a month, yet it has the same 5.7 hemi. No E torque, so I’m gonna lower it and put a Whipple on it. Sure it’s not a challenger, but it’s still a hemi that’s fun to drive. Plus I’m more of a truck guy anyways. I’ll be able to run under the insurance radar too! It’s a win win, like an insurance loophole! 🤪 I just want something fun to drive honestly. Plus I don’t have to worry about my truck getting stolen vs the statistics on a challenger. Food for thought.
I helped my buddy install a RIP supercharger in a weekend on his 2015 Rubicon with a 3.0 liter straight six. It was pretty straight forward didn't need any specialized automotive tools. I believe the only thing that didn't come with it was new spark plugs but it did list the heat range for the replacement plugs. It is a monster at the Jeep Jamboree lots of fun!
I love my 5.7 it’s just different. It’s no where compared to some of the top notch V8’s but it’s just what I need for now. I’m sure most of us has had a V6 at least once lol I can’t hate
Great video X, definitely a nice comparison for those interested in getting into the Mopar muscle car world . I think driving a Challenger has a fun feeling no matter what but more power the more smiles per gallon .
Owned a fresh RT and after the lease was up I drove a different car in hopes of getting my hands on another charger. Then in 2011 ish I test drove a new charger sxt and I really wanted that car. That’s after driving the RT for 3 years. To me these vehicles are my favorite.
ALL WHEEL DRIVE is the killer app for the V6. That's why I'm saving up for a V6 and a supercharger. Living where there's snow and rain a few months out of the year, I'm done with two wheel drive.
So I’ve had my 21 RT Challenger and it has given me no problems whatsoever. A couple flats here and there, but a reliable daily, taken this thing to Vegas, TJ, long drives/trips. Oil changes have been done consistently and it’s about time to get new tires! Happy with my car, would love to see more reviews on these RT Hemis/5.7 Liters, probably just my luck idk !
Thank you for the superchat! I wish I could find a good Mopar shop in the Tampa area.. unfortunately I am not aware of any. I have been going to Jordan Performance and Racing in Ruskin, but they are primarily known for their Mustang work
@@RacerX9 appreciate bro. You want to ear a curious thing. I believe I saw your deamon 170 before you. I have a client who work for dodge at Brandon as a mechanic and I went there and saw you deamon all covered at the entrance. 😂 then you posted the video on Friday. 3 days after I believe.
I have a GT and I’d much rather get the 5.7 hemi and build that. There’s just way more aftermarket support for hemis as opposed to the pentastar and once you throw that supercharger on the 5.7… we’ll we know how that story ends lol
Had a 2018 charger RT and then got another in2021. Very tough decision between the 5.7 and 6.4. Prices were about the same as the 6.4s were typically lower spec than many 5.7s. Went with another 5.7 and no regrets. The 5.7 takes to mods much better than the 6.4 if I ever feel the need. Neither is a 1/4 mile monster but both comfortable and fun on the street, especially when well optioned.
60k for an rt is ridiculous I just bought my 2022 Rt for 32k out the door 21k miles, I had a v6 Chrysler 300s when I first drove it I thought it was fast and I loved it but honestly once I drove the v8 you can definitely feel the difference in speed and torque. People sleep on the rt but it looks amazing and sounds awesome and it's faster than people give it credit for
Thanks for the Challenger R/T love, RacerX! It’s a great car. It was the perfect intro to muscle cars! Would like to see you do a procharger 5.7 review! Then compare to stock 5.7 etc.
Back when Scatpacks were affordable (2015 - 2019) and Dodge offered good lease deals on them, they were actually the best-selling trim for the Charger and Challenger! That all changed when Stellantis took over and went from $45k-$55k $400 per month Scatpack leases up to $65k-$75k $800 per month Scatpack leases
I've owned a 2021 Challenger SXT for about four years now, and honestly I couldn't be happier. Yeah, it's not a Hemi, but i get to have the dream car i wanted and make it a daily driver. And you know, with this paltry V6. I can still have some fun on the highway while also getting nearly 500 miles to the tank (highway only). I have no illusions about the differences between what I have and say a Scat Pack (no one should EVER buy the R/T for the reasons illustrated in this video), but I get to have fun and save money, so what is the problem with that? This is currently my only car, and I have considered upgrading, but with Insurance scheduled to rise another 3-5% in 2025, a dream car becomes a money pit pretty quickly. I support supercharging the car, because even at $6k the cost is absorbed by the difference between the V6 and Hemi. Fun at a value is still fun, period.
Another great video! I don't know why Dodge don't hire you to fly around the country and make video's at the different dealerships. They might actually start selling more cars!
For me a owner of a 2001 regal gs supercharged the sound of a supercharger whine is MUCH MUCH more satisfying that ANY rumble roar of a V8 in my books, but in this case it all depends on the price of the vehicle...i myself cant stand the sound of muscle cars going down the highway cruising the drone is head ache educing....but im also getting older and my tastes r changing...thinks i liked back when i was 20's kid i hate today things i hated back then i love now....now for me its all about confort and a whine, i no longer give a dam about performance of power....so long as i get a whine ill b happy....oh and factory silent exhaust along with fuel economy are now a few of my requiments.
I have a ripp supercharged v6 challenger...2013..it's my baby,,I love it..ripp has been awesome,,it makes rt's cry..but i wish I had a hellcat..one day I will
Brother I know I harp on stuff in your comments but man my heart just breaks for you, 170 issues and a job loss back to back. I'd let you drag race my 'cat if I could. I know it's not a 170 but man, I just can't imagine being without your SRT after working so hard for it. Please keep us updated on your baby.
I bought an SXT V6 Challenger mainly because of the all wheel drive for winter driving around here. I do have a Mustang GT with a V8 and obviously the Mustang is faster, but honestly the V6 Challenger is no slouch when you compare it to other typical cars on the road, and it sure LOOKS a lot better than most of what is on the road. It's still fun to drive, too. The "sport mode" does wake it up a bit. Also... it gets much better gas mileage than the Mustang. Of course, there is the Ecoboost Mustang that would even do better on mileage with similar power, but it's not all wheel drive.
Racer x you are crazy if you think a v6 305 horsepower car is faster than an old fbody. Those cars were low 13s stock also dyno’d at like 290 wheel. They weigh a lot less than a challenger or charger. I love your content but don’t spew lies for your little ad video.
I’ve had challenger V6 over the past year and it was fun until I wanted more power go straight for the V8, I own a charger now V8 but I working to getting a v8 challenger ❤️🔥
I had a content idea for you. You know how people are always asking "What should I buy?" and that likely led to this video? You should do a longform, specific financial review of different models. Like quite literally say "Okay if your budget is X, your options are Y and Z" and literally go over everything from downpayment to monthly payment and what you get for that money in each trim. I think a lot of people see THIS specific video and think "Well I can only afford a V6 and not afford to supercharge it, plus I want to keep my warranty" and it *might* not grab their attention as much. I really see a TON of potential in your work and I listen to a lot of your thoughts on why certain videos flop or don't, and I just can't shake this feeling that MASS appeal is right around the corner for you with more hands-on lifestyle content around these cars.
Great video! You got a new sub and like. I don't have a dodge but I do have the Pentastar in my Jeep and am researching for possible forced induction in the future.
Any one of us that watched Boosted Luckys progression of a V6 owner to a raced out Hellcat can tell you all of the reasons why you really shouldn’t. Weaker drivetrain being the biggest concern. Keep the 6ers stock, as they are really nice cars in that form, and please for the love of gods stop straight piping them 🙏 Louder is not always better 😎👍
I would never get a muscle car and opt for a v6 doesn't make sense to me. However if you want to do a v6 build more power to ya. Everyone has a dream of what they want to build.
I got my last call blacktop SXT for 28,000 new out the door. The cheapest RT was 42,000. Being my first self signed car and everything being paid for by me, it was a no brainer. I have zero problems with it, my father owns a 1LE Camaro and my Pentastar has nothing on that, but he also makes triple what I do and can afford that fun. Different strokes for different folks really, bashing people for what ride that have is silly.
I've had the procharger kit for over 2 years on Stella, installed by Modern Muscle Xtreme on my 2018 challenger. It rides great and like you said, better on insurance and will beat a stock 5.7.
I have a V6 Durango and a R/T Stroker Challenger, and each are fun in their own right. But both I got for under 25K. I would never submit to pay anything over 35K for an R/T with all of these markups. In these times, built is definitely better than bought. Boost is coming in the near future!
Challengers are not selling and dealer have way too many of them on their lots. Wait until August or later and you should be able to buy the V6 or RT for 30% under sticker and dealer will be happy to sell at that price.
I would get the GT trim with AWD and add the supercharger. As an owner of a 2016 Chrysler 200C AWD with the 3.6, a Challenger or Charger is the way to go for me.
That should be considered to the vast majority of viewers to be a no brainer. Buy the V8 No supercharged V6 is going to have that iconic HEMI V8 rmble. Plus, a stock RT or Scat Pack is going to be more reliable that a stressed V6 that has been after market supercharged.
As the owner of an ‘09 G37 sedan, the engine is great, and that’s what a v6 should be. 3.7 with 328 HP. A V8 G37 would’ve been crazy but think of it like this: in 2011 and 2012, Infiniti released a G25, which is a 2.5L small V6 with 218 HP. That’s basically the equivalent of the V6 mustang/charger/challenger vs the V8 in Infiniti terms. Who would buy the much less popular G25 if they want power? My mom has a 2023 Charger GT, and my car is faster than hers, but she doesn’t want the V8. All about an audience
3.6 will forever be underrated nobody knows what they can actually do you can easily make the same or more whp then the 5.7 hemi with just a few mods and good tuner “good tuner”
The was i see it is if your supercharging a car your doing it for power. And those who are wanting big power arent wanting to build big power to just keep up with a stock rt. So if you want a cool car but not a fast car than get the v6. If you want a fast car and want to build it, buy the v8. Both are nice and i respect supercharging anything but you just get more power supercharging the v8 so it makes more sence to just get the v8.
Personally i love small displacement and big boost (hence y i drive a 400hp forged boared over turbo miata 😅) but if i had to choose, i would take the v8 , and i say this cuz v6 are not as good as a inline 6 or a v8-v10-v12 and im not really familiar with the w6 i mean i know how its made and all but never tinkered with one ... but thats my opinion throu my experiences, any inline engine with same as a v will always outdo the v , not to mention the natural primary and secondary balance almost on par with the inline 6 ... sorry im ADHD so i rambling ... but love the content and cant weight to see the demon back up and see how it do once you build it over a stealership lol ... peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z famz and keep having fun
If the V6 has a weaker suspension brakes and tranny it’s better to get the Rt. Adding supercharger to the V6 without other upgrades may make the car unsafe if suspension can’t handle it.
People say v6 suck but it honestly depends on the type of car it’s in. Like look at the 4age engine on paper it’s not impressive, it’s a inline 4 engine that pushes 120 horsepower but it’s known to be easily tunable and make well over 500hp in fact Toyota put this engine in a Supra for a tournament and it ended up winning every single race because it had one thing going for it, was lightweight due to being 4 cylinders
I absolutely love the Dodge Challenger. To me it is the most beautiful car on the market. I own a 2009 V6 and a 2014 SRT8. Of course, the V8 is more fun to drive, but the V6 is much better for long distances, because it is much more quiet and consumes less gas. Take the wifey on a 500 mile ride. In the V8 she will be ready to kill you after 100 miles, but in the V6 she will be relaxed all the way.

Thanks dud. I just got my v6 challenger 2 days ago
I supercharged my V6 Challenger and it was an amazing experience. I currently own a scatpack.

Exactly
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Your numbers seem off. I know people that got 575hp and 516tq out of the pro charger kit at that price. I dunno if you can run that Ripp kit at 10-12 psi on stock internals. 7 sounds more safe to me on stock 5.7 motor
It's not worth the money. Racerx dusted a supercharged v6 in his old scat pack. The guy had to replace his engine and all too. Just get a reliable v8
$7K seems like alot of money to put on a V6 Challenger.
@@BigJoe5.0Agreed 100%
All you had to say was Canada
@TOKESMcGOAT Don't be that guy.
@TOKESMcGOAT id liek to see you drive a rwd muscle car in a central canadian winter with 2-4 feet over night at -40c....
85 mph and she's putting at 2100 rpm 😇😇😇
First gear is short then 2-5 are tall and 6 is short
How fast is your GT now
When i got my first "sports car" when i was 17 it was a ECO-boost Mustang.
Coming from a Miata Driver + a Corvette fanboy, even I think turbo 4s are more of a FWD thing
I always been fascinated with the potential of the v6
Great video RacerX! With the potential the 5.7 has to make more power I still think the R/T is the way to go.
I enjoy an engine that attracts my senses. I would drive a V8 even if it was slower than a modified V6.

I couldn't care less about speed. The 303 hp in the V6 is enough to give me some thrills, but it's too quiet. Both the wife and I want a Scat Pack Widebody. But the insurance is what’s holding us back. I refuse to pay over $200 a month just to add that to my policy. So we found a way around it…. Kinda.

With the v6 you can also have awd. Big plus for da Uppers.
The awd v6 with this kit would be nice.
At what point do you have to beef up the transmission and drive shaft?
That should be considered to the vast majority of viewers to be a no brainer. Buy the V8 No supercharged V6 is going to have that iconic HEMI V8 rmble. Plus, a stock RT or Scat Pack is going to be more reliable that a stressed V6 that has been after market supercharged.
Agreed 100% brother
V8 for the win like Dwade in the 4th
V8 - irrational show-offs
V6 - practical style
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'd like to actually see a heads up race between them after the v6 upgrade
I've seen it V6 wins by quarter panel jumps three lengths out front then the V8 walks it back just ran out of track.
Great Video Racer X! Whether you call us a six pack or a half dozen we’re still Mopar’s!! 😅
Thank you for this video!
As someone who bought a v6 camaro. ITS BEAUTIFUL AND LOOK GOOD, But please save for the v8, you'll save yourself the regret
If the V6 has a weaker suspension brakes and tranny it’s better to get the Rt. Adding supercharger to the V6 without other upgrades may make the car unsafe if suspension can’t handle it.
V8 all the way. 😎
I have the V6 challenger and my plan is to supercharge it
Got to factor in the GT AWD vrs the RT RWD
