- With the LC/LA Challenger ending production at the end of this year, I thought it would be cool to take a look back at the 10 rarest, or most limited, or least produced, Dodge Challengers that exist from the 3rd generation onwards. Each car will be shown in detail, including the production numbers, MSRP, features, performance, and more!

I’d actually argue that my 2020 Scat Pack is the rarest. it’s a 1 of 1 because it’s the only one I have.
I'd say the Hellcat SRT Redeye Wide Body is the rarest, I don't even have one! 🥲

Same year Scatpack Shaker manual in my garage, agree 100%.
For just three models, Challenger, Charger, and 300, it's insane how many limited and special edition cars were created by Dodge and Chrysler.
2010 SRT8 Furious Fuchsia 400 produced. Only challenger offered in pink from factory will be very rare other than the R/T option that year.

I'm a bit surprised the 1320 package didn't at least make the honorable mention group.
Based upon his criteria I am not surprised. Yes, more 2018 Demon's (which also did not make the list) were made in a single year than five years of 1320 production combined. However, 1320's have been available to order without limit (at least until the 2023 limited allocation garbage started). Way more 1320's have been made than every model he listed in the video. 1320's are not very common, but they are not rare either. I ordered and owned two of them at one point in time, a 2021 with full interior, and a single seat 2022. In early 2022 I was on a list to order the first 2023 Super Stock from my dealer, then Dodge got stupid with last year hemi non-sense and very limited allocations; my dealer only got one and the owner kept it for himself. I'm very unhappy with Dodge right now. I went to some other dealers to order one, but they all wanted huge dealer markup's, and I will never pay over MSRP...
Back in July of this year I purchased a brand new 1320 PLUS in TorRed.Bought it from the dealer stock. I paid $1495 over sticker, which wasn't too bad. Damn shame my local drag strip closed for good just two weeks later.@@artillerybuff2000
Even the Dodge Demon is rare I’ve yet to see one and it’s been out since 2018 and the Demon 170 still haven’t seen one probably a never see one since I’ve never seen a Dodge Demon and the 1320 definitely should be on here
I’m amazed how slow in general these Challengers are. 0-60 in the 4 second range is downright slow these days as are 11-12 second quarter mile times. If you’re not in the 2-3 second 0-60 and 9-10 qtr mile, you’re considered a dog.
@@alexnutcasio936 What? Name one other naturally aspirated car that can run mid 11's bone stock off the showroom floor. The 1320 does and for under 50k. There is one guy who did nothing more than lighten his 1320 and is running high 10's. That is nothing short of amazing!
2010 challenger mopar 10 has that old school muscle look
You missed the rarest of all the 10 Kowalski edition cars that were built by Dodge with sequential VIN numbers in 2011.
The only way to get a white Dodge Challenger 2011 was to get one of the 10 that were built.
Each containing sequential VIN numbers and 57x build code.
There's only 10 Kowalski edition cars on the planet I own number one and it's the only one supercharged.
The cars were run after the inaugural edition cars were produced they ran 10 sequentially white challengers on the production line then ceased production for 2011.

I have a '22 Scat Pack Shaker edition in Tor-red with the Shaker, left side stripes and every possible package upgrade. It has the headlight intake inlets as well as the Shaker hood and cold air intake. It has the 20"x9" upgrade wheels and is truly beautiful. I don't know how many were made but it wasn't a lot and I've never seen another like it.
Mopar Editions have consistently looked good
I’m surprised the 50th additions didn’t make it on the list. I have number 31 of 70 for my trim level.
Yeah I mentioned those in honorable mentions. With 70x7 colors = 490 per model x 4 models plus another 70 for Canada = 2,030 of them in total. And they are all basically the same with Shaker, wheels, etc.
50th edition scat pack widebody is my dream car to swap from my current AWD GT.
It basically has it all:
1) 6.4 as the best reliability/usability engine
2) Widebody for better control and traction as well as the visual
3) Shaker, to make that visual pop while hitting the gas pedal every time
4) Almost perfect two tone coloring, to make it pop and unique
5) A little bit of extra details to make it special
Some may argue about the fakeness of the Shaker, I agree, but from the driver's perspective it adds excitement to the acceleration and makes the hood design better.
Actually, there is another for the 50th Anniversary - that only had 70 produced - there were only 70 Dodge Challenger Scat T/A's made and only made in one color - Gold Rush - one is for sale in NC I saw it in person I just bought another one and sold it to another collector -
Surprised you don’t have furious fuchsia 2010 srt8 challengers on this list… only 400 challengers produced. With a number plate on the dash. I own #398.

I wish the 1320 was rare oh well😢. At least my super stock made it. Got it for $31,913. it is a formerly-salvaged title😂😂. With some help with a mechanic and wielder buddy , countless hours spanning a year, and 26k later looks good as new even though it is practically worthless.

Miss my 2014 challenger RT Redline edition. Such a rare trim and apperance package, especially in white instead of black.
I have a 2016 Challenger R/T with the Super Track Pak. Iv never heard anyone anywere talk about it. It has some nice upgrades over the base R/T and even had a super track pack button which launches the performance pages. Even tho it's not an official model, Im sure it's pretty rare to some degree.

@@seansolis2270 you never hear anyone talk about it. My car is an automatic with leather as well. The only thing that the car didnt come with was adaptive cruise control and a sunroof. I did buy an oem shaker hood from the dealer afterwards.

As far as color goes, the 2014 100th Anniversary R/T in High Octane Red is a one year only color. Mine is 1 of 312 with a manual ever produced in this color.
Just looked over at my dash and figured out I'm sitting in #7 of 70 TorRed 50th anniversary scat pack shaker....
Amazing! TorRed is one of the best colors they make in my opinion, plus with the Red shaker too!

Was at a car show recently and a demon 170 a black ghost and a king daytona hellcat at once. Coming to find out all 3 were owned by 1 person
I have owned 4 Challengers, my newest one is my 2022 SuperStock, it is 1 of 1 as optioned.

I saw one listed for sale and thought someone just put a decal on it until I saw the interior and knew it had to be OEM

2012 challenger rt header orange with one year rims, manual trans, moon roof. 114 made. Have one in the garage up on a lift. 20,000 miles.

@@mattjingles5758 non salvage, under 80k miles. I prior owner, everything is perfect condition it even has the navigation system with Boston acoustics. Already took out the muffler and resonators.

As some have mentioned 2010 Furious Fuchsia SRT8 only 400 made. As well as the 2020 50th Anniversary T/A Goldrush only 77 T/A's in that color out of the 50th Anniversary editions. I guess I'm lucky to have 3 of the rarest Challengers.
Actually - there were only "70" 50th Anniversary Dodge Challenger T/A Editions produced in Gold Rush Yellow- Number 51 is up for sale here in NC - There were no other colors made - this one has 18,000 miles and is from Florida
What about the 2010 furious fuchsia 40th anniversary edition, they made a total of 1,527 units out of that 400 were the SRT's model and 1,127 RT's..
I owned a mopar 14 edition bought it right off the showroom floor from david Stanley cdjr in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and drove it back home to New York State. Production #43 I really wanted to get richard petty’s signature on it somewhere seeing that was his #. Wish I still had it but it is in my area where i live still . I see it every now and again, it was black. I currently have a mopar 23 edition production #63 ironically the same year i was born lol it was purchased from tasca cdjr in providence, RI in February of this year would have been nice to have the both of them. All together I’ve owned 12 challengers since my youth a 70 440 automatic , 71 383 automatic, 10 R/T M6 , mopar 14 edition M6, 16 R/T blacktop edition A8, 16 Hellcat A8, 19 R/T scat pack wide body A8, 19 scat pack 1320 A8, 21 hellcat A8, 22 R/T blacktop edition M6, and currently my 23 mopar edition M6 and a 23 R/T fully loaded except sunroof and shaker A8. Not bragging by any means just showing my love for these cars lol that all started when I went to the drive in theatre as a youngster with my grandparents to see vanishing point in 1971 and every since it’s been on !!!

trying to find out more details about it.
So as far as I know, the 2020 50th Anniversary editions were numbered. You will have a badge on the right passenger side that says your number out of 70. (They made 70 of each color x 7 different colors x 4 different models).
So that would be a lot of 50th Scat Packs in total (7x70 = 490), but because yours is a 392 T/A, they only made 77 50th Anniversary of those in 2020. So yours is 1 of 77. The only thing I don’t know is how many of those 77 TA were in your Gold Rush paint color
Surprised that the 50th anniversary editions didn't make the list, especially with the limited edition colors. I have the 2020 #9 of 70 T/A Scat Pack in Gold Rush (according to build records they actually overran to 77) but that is still pretty low production numbers. That color was apparently meant to be an exclusive for the 50th anniversary to pay homage to the 1970 Challenger T/A. However Dodge apparently still built some in 2021 in Gold Rush.
What about the 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T "Furious Fuchsia" Edition?

You can also run down the numbers of any one of these as for standard and or optional equipment it has! I have a 2015 Challenger SRT392 in Bright white. As equipped, I have 1 of 60 cars that are identical. In 2015 there were 337 Bright white SRT 392’s with the 8HP70 automatic. But only 279 remain in the USA. I got the information of the 1 of 60 cars as equipped from the Mothership itself.

Thanks for providing the top 10.. but I think the Challenger 50th is very rare, especially, the Widebody Shaker...I have one since 2020, 4 years now soon and I havent seen one around my area yet... I'm in the DMV area.

How about the 2012 Yellow Jacket . 1310 made with 1000 for the U.S. and 300 exported . Made one year only
colors , my build would be RT scat pack wide body manuel T/A plum crazy and no other opts or a super stock sublime green black out hood no back seat no other opts
Had a challenger v6 and Rt. Fuel cost about the same, v8 gives you more for the money

You said that the 50th anniversary cars missed the cut, but I would like to know if my car would make it? I have a 2021 Challenger Scat Pack T/A in the Gold Rush color. They only continued that color for 2021 for the V8 Challengers and Chargers. I was told that they only made 70 of each. Is that true?
The target was 70 of each in select trims and colors for the 2020 50th anniversary editions totaling 1960 vehicles. According to the dash plaque, I have #9 of 70 T/A Scat Pack in Gold Rush, but if you locate the build data, they actually produced 77. IDK . . . best laid plans? 🤔😂

You can look up the build sheet for it. I have a 2018 Daytona 392 in Yellow Jacket. Only 73 made.

Mr. Marspeed please have a look at how many 2023 Last Call Jailbreak Widebody Hellcats in Manual 6 speed are produced. I think those will easily make this list😮

Interesting you didn’t include the scatpack with hemi orange package. I have one fully loaded and have yet to ever see another but there are 10 shakedowns in my area. Would be interesting to see how many of those packages actually were produced.
I didn’t include these because I put in my “video rules” that I didn’t include any packages you could just add on. Reasoning is that any one can order them and they will make as many as are ordered, so it’s not intended to be “limited”. However I do agree that they are probably rare because not a lot of people order them or even know about them

I ordered mine for that exact reason, because I knew it would be rare and that’s held true as most dealers I run across who find a reason to offer me more for my car than I paid for it initially. I admit I am biased to it, which is why I guess my brain says rare is rare regardless but I absolutely get your point. Going down that path could be very hard to track them all down and be able to quantify what is more rare given the options. Keep up the great work, really liked the video

I'm pretty sure my 2023 Challenger Scat Pack widebody shaker in Plum Crazy will be more rare than most of the special editions. 2023 is the only year you can get both the widebody and shaker together in Plum Crazy

I did consider those but they aren’t street legal with no VIN, so I didn’t include them. But you’re right each version is pretty rare, only 50 made for 2021

You’re so right. Just look at the Demons, lots of more them than these cars but will be worth so much more. At the end of the day, something like a Mopar ‘10 is still just an R/T because they didn’t upgrade performance

In 2015 to 2018 the TA was a stand alone model? It wasn't a package, it had an entirely different setup than a scatpack also...bigger brakes, wider tires, a rim design of its own, different suspension, cold air sealed intake with the functional headlight air. They discontinued it and then brought it back in 21 or 22 as an appearance package only. So only the current versions are just stickers nothing special

Must include the T/A. I believe they were officially offered as models in 2017 and 2018 only. Later you could order an R/T or Scat Pack with T/A trim but IMO, those shouldn't be counted.

I love Dodge and their engines. However why have a absolutely awesome car and ugly colors. Not all are bad. But it would be so easy to do it better.
