I recently bought the LG C1, no DTS decoding unfortunately, don't if it matters with hdmi to optical and dts decoding being done on my Logitech z906 but if i can enjoy 5.1 surround decoding at least be with dolby digital.
Right now i'm using Optical output+TV Speakers to have some kind of 3d immersion but the optical only gives me stereo effect with rear speaker in 3d or 4.1 and i want to take it to the next level like you do.
Also i want to ask, Is there a decent and very cheap(under 150€, receiver that supports hdmi arc, DTS. Dolby Digital and works with Logitech z906? I see alot of used 5.1 receivers out there.

I have mitv 4a pro with hdmi arc output and a zebronics zeb-juke 5.1 9400 pro dolby digital + soundbar with hdmi in as well as optical, will this decoder/extractor work for me for 5.1 audio?

Hi brother.. Bilkul change kar sakte hai. Achche 70 watt 4 ohm ke speaker laga sakte hai. Bahut sare aise brand hai jiske speaker le sakte hai SOBNY, JBL, harman. Aap two speaker bhi laga sakte hai jisme tweeter in-built hote hai. Car mein jo component speaker use hote hai 4 inch ke woh bhi laga sakte hai. But aapko wodden box ban wana parega jisme yeh speaker fit ho jaye aur centre, front right aur left speaker ki jagah use ho sakte hai. Aur kuch puchna chahte hai toh aap ouch sakte hai. Thanks

hi i have a sony bravia kdl w805b, a fire stick tv lite and a logitech z906. I can't do the same as you in the video .. I plug the fire stick lite into the in input .. both the stick and the HDMI audio extractor are powered. Optical cable from the z906 to the optical input of the HDMI extractor .. and the HDMI cable out to the Sony TV .. despite testing both better quality .. like pcm..dolby digital plus passtrought and dolby digital passtrought, it does nothing .. the hdmi is connected to the ARC hdmi output. Could it be that the hdmi cable is not ARC compliant and that is why it does not work? by the way hbomax if it takes 5.1 audio only by connecting the stick to the tv and the optical cable from the z906 to the direct tv .. but amazon prime and Netflix do not reproduce real 5.1 audio .. neither with the stick direct to the tv, nor connecting to the hdmi audio extractor which is not exactly the same as you use .. it is a Mypin 4k hdmi audio extractor .. very similar

This was really a good video on Z906 speakers for the DTS Audio output. It works fine as expected for the real 5.1 content. But I have a question for you, when i open TH-cam the output of the audio is on stereo mode, it's not even converting into 5.1 Audio in that case this converter is of no use expect for watching movies on OTT platforms or Blu-ray. It should also support on other applications as well on smart TV. That really made me think on this device. Hope others are facing the same issues too. My connection is from TV HDMI ARC to Amazon Basic Audio convertor. If any of yours inputs or experiences please share, that would be greatful.
Hi Brother.. this device supports only digital 5.1 signal via HDMI from your TV, bluray, setup box etc. If you are using this device to connect your z906 via optical for surround sound, then you will get only 5.1 or stereo, which you cannot upmix the stereo to 5.1, 4.1 surround sound. This option is not available on Z906 on optical and coaxial connections. You can only upmix your stereo signal to 5.1 or 4.1 when your Z906 is connected via analog input at back and one on control pod right side with headphone jack, an aux port. When you connect your mobile phone or any stereo source to Z906 via RCA jacks at back or auxiliary 3.5mm jack on control pod then only you will be able to convert stereo to 5.1, 4.1 surround sound. With optical connection you cannot do this. I hope you got your answer. TH-cam will not give you 5.1 surround signal, it will give you only stereo output. Thanks

I have looked into few settings in my LG Web OS TV, so in the sound output if I select the option Auto it delivers us Dolby 5.1 audio output from the encoder which is mind blowing i can feel the difference while watching movies from OTT and if I switch to TH-cam yes it delivers only stereo mode. But if it's in PCM selection output from the LG TV it gives 5.1 too but in 3D mode to Logitech Z906 which is good for listening to TH-cam music videos, for this it's need to be changed in TV sound output settings. So I played around couple of hours on selections of the sound output from the TV, well this encoder does the good job. Total satisfied with this encoder purchase and the amazing speakers.

Yes this is Arc supported.but you can't change the volume thru tv..

Still your personal choice that you want to own that Creative AE9 card. It's very premium which supports dolby digital and dts live with headphone amplifier also. Before you buy make it sure that it support and decode dolby digital and dts signal from content for which you're buying that. One more sound card which is Creative Sound Blaster Audigy PCIe RX 7.1 Sound Card is also do the justice if your purpose to get only 5.1 channel audio with dolby digital and dts support. It will cost you around 6000 whereas that Creative AE9 soundcard 41000. Thanks

Thanks brother.. If your PC have HDMI output port then connect it with HDMI via HDMi cable. Make some tweaks or settings in your PC also to route the audio signal through HDMI cable to your sound bar. If this doesn't work try connecting with auxiliary cable. Thanks,

Connect your fitestick directly to adapter and thru optical you can connect your logitech. You will get 5.1 sound.

Hi brother.. Yamaha HT 1840 is a AV receiver, means it has video capabilities like 4k video and audio as well. NOT POWERFUL SOUND. If you want audio and video capabilities in one then yamaha ht 1840 is the good choice. If you want powerful audio with clean, tight bass and balance output, go for Z906 only. Both decodes basic dolby digital and DTS 5.1 signal. So decide your usage first and then purchase. Thanks

I’m looking to hook up the Logitech Z906 to my Samsung UE43TU7020 but I’m having a MASSIVE problem finding out if these two will connect with 5.1 Dolby atmos audio,my tv has a HDMI IN eARC but the speakers do not have a hdmi port to plug into,essentially what I am saying is that would it be possible for me to connect these two up and have it running on the 5.1 frequency? Hi brother.. Thanks for asking. Agar aap sony d40 lene ki soch rahe hai ek toh woh 4.1 speaker system hai, 40 watt rms hai. Logitech Z906 se kafi sasta hai.. I would recommend that agar aapka budget hai toh Z906 hi lijiye. Kyonki yeh sab tarah se better hai sony d40 se.. Decoding, 500 watt rms, 8 inch subwoofer aur kafi kuch hai.. My connection will be like this, firestick to hdmi input of the extractor, hdmi output to tv hdmi innfor video, optical output of the extractor to toslink input of the logitect console. Can i get at least standard dolby digital 5.1 surround sound with this setup? Firestick tv 4k has the ability to transcode , convert dolby digital plus to standard dolby digital? Thank in advance.
Hi Brother.. Thanks for subscribing.. Yes definitely you will get the basic dolby digital and dts 5.1 surround sound out of it. But remember, our Z906 only supports dolby digital signal not dolby digital plus, EX etc.. So make sure that your fire stick audio output must be set to dolby digital only. Your connection is correct. Also make sure that you must be routing your cable correctly from extractor to Z906 optical input. If your connections are right then DECODE light will lit constantly. Pls check and let me know. Thanks.

Bhai can you make a video on Audio Rush 5.1 or any other like Audio Rush and this devise (with difference) and some requests..as per my knowledge TH-cam, Dailymotion etc only supports Stereo. Do Netflix supports the real basic Dolby Digital or DTS whatever if I am watching video from Netflix the Decode light on Z906 will be active or not? Are there other movie channels that support true basic Dolby or DTS? And last can you make a video on Dolby Atmos (DIY setup) which speakers can be used? Hi Babar Brother... Will try to make a video on AUDIO RUSH 5.1 or any same device. But basically it converts 5.1 optical / coaxial digital signal to analog signal (through RCA Jacks). Yeh quality wise kafi inferior hota hai. Second, TH-cam, Dailymotion etc doesn't support 5.1 dolby or DTS signal. Right now aisa youtube, dailymotion par aise codec available nahi hai sirf stereo hi sun payenge. Magar Netflix, Prime video, Disney Hotstar ya jo streaming apps hai woh 5.1 content support karte hai. Movies Hindi, Hollywood yeh saari 5.1 surround sound encoded hoti hai, optical ya HDMI ke through aap decode karke 5.1 surround ka maja le sakte hai. DOLBY ATMOS ka setup kaise karein, kitne speakers, etc par video aane wala hai jaldi. Sare questions ka answer karunga uss video par. Take care and be safe. Thanks brother..

Hi! I am using z906 with LG C9. I am connecting hdmi arc cable from tv to this device and optical from this device to z906. Bus its not working. Sound coming thru tv speakers only.
Hi Brother.. you have tweak some setting on your tv. If your tv has optical output then connect directly via optical cable. And if you want to connect your TV through this device then HDMI ARC will work. But again you have to see and configure your tv accordingly. Select SOUND OUTPU TO HDMI ARC, Also check for audio signal. Select dolby digital, bitstream on your TV setting to get the 5.1 audio signal thru HDMI ARC or from optical output. Thanks

Hi brother.. yeh depend karta hai ke content kis codec mein encoded hai. Agar basic dolby digital hai toh aapko sirf dolby digital ko hi select karna padega, kyonki content ya movie dolby digital plus mein nahi hogi. Try kariye phir mujhe bataye ke solve hua ke nahi.. Thanks

Hi brother.. first of all that spdif and optical are same. If your pc has optical output then connect via optical only. Also check that your pc hardware and software supports 5.1 dolby digital signal or not. If yes then you must play dolby digital content to get 5.1 surround sound from your logitech z906. Using aux connection will give you stereo sound only not 5.1 surround sound. So if you want to see movies with 5.1 surround sound then connect your logitech with optical output of your pc or tv. Hi brither..as you mentioned that you want crystal clear and clean bass and also balanced sound then definitely go for Z906. Sony will.give you too much and boomy bass but mid highs seems low and less powered. Too much bass with no balanced sound. So I would recommend Z906. Thanks

Hello I have a question. My TV has hdmi and optical. But the Z906 doesn't have hdmi.. In order to use that converter, from hdmi to optical like in the video, then the audio wouldn't still be compressed in quality just as same as if I would connect optical to optical? Hi there.. First thing I just want to tell you that converter doesn't compress the digital signal. It's only sperates the audio and video signal which is coming thru HDMI. If your TV has optical output then connect ditectly your Z906. Still you want to use that converter then don't hesitate, you'll get the absolute pure signal. Thanks

Hi brother.. yes of course it will work as it is meant for this only. How do you run your OTT apps? If your support these ott apps then you must check whether you tv has optical out or not. If yes then you can directly hook your tv with z906 via optical cable only and it will solve the purpose. Tweak some setting on to your TV to get 5.1 dd surround sound. If not then you have to buy this converter and hook this converter with HDMI Arc and you will get the 5.1 dd surround sound. Thanks

Hi brother.. aapko apne desktop mein audio setting ko change karna padega. HDMI se audio out ka option select karna hoga, tabhi audio signal HDMI se pass hoga aur converter ke thru 5.1 audio mil payega. Also check kariye ke aapka system hardware dolby digital signal support karta hai ya nahi.
Brother, toslink is capable only of handling dolby ditigal and not digital plus or dts :X, because of its limited bandwidth handling capabilities.

I wanted to buy a Z906 but curently I use a Z623 in Optical on my TV, and I want a true 5.1 surround (each tweeter playing on is own), but I don't understand the connection plan...On the converter, the "hdmi in" port is here only for not losing 1 port ? if I put nothing in the "hdmi in", and only my optical and "hdmi out" on my HDMI ARC port, will it work, thats my question. If the "HDMI in" port, is only here for not losing a port, it's incredible, and I will buy it soon. Thx ! P.S: All my hdmi are curently taken by consoles and a PC, and I use the optical port for the stereo output. (TV model: Samsung QE55Q70R)

@AVMAX AMAZE Hi bro, actuly it's pretty simple. I wanted to pre-test your setup, with my current material. All my hdmi ports are taken by consoles and 1pc, and my audio output is set with an optical cable on my stereo kit, a Logitech Z633. So I bought an hdmi extractor, I plugged as you said, but I have a problem. With the hdmi extractor, even if I set in my tv options "hdmi arc output" on the audio setup for all my hdmi sources, only the hdmi who is plugged in the "hdmi in" on the extractor, work as intended, but not for the rest of them. So maybe it's juste my actual kit who can't deliver the sound as desired, but I'm afraid that I will encouter the same issue with the Z906. Are maybe I have to use another kind of material, idk... Hope you will understand, I'm French, my english is pretty bad

Hi brother.. I can understand your concern. But for two years you dont need to worry. Try uaing and maintaining it honestly. Some few safety measures you have to take while you use. Dont hot switching speaker wires, dont unplug control pod while system is on, start with minimum level of sound and then gradually increase the volume, use surge protector on your power socket, if you have voltage stabilizer then use that etc. Follow theae rules and you will be able to enjoy this speaker system for a long time.
