Hey Guys!.. Please react to "Adiye" song from kadal movie. It's a masterpiece.
AR Rahman sir introduced another genre of world music to kollywood industry. It's a Gospel Blues setting. A fantastic number that transcends the song than usual.
Rahman sir keeps the musical style undiluted from Indian influences, thereby he keeps the mood very genuine.
He also introduced a new singer Sid Sriram who has an addictive voice as u guys already reacted to him.
I'm sure this song will blow your mind.

In Holi, there are coloured water balloons, water guns, and a LOT of coloured powder. It's soo FUN & everyone's favourite festival in india. In India, it's been added to food and drinks for thousands of years and is a feature of Hindu religious practices, rituals, and festivals - including the popular spring festival of Holi.

The Gypsies (aka Banjaras in India) travelled from West India to the Middle East, Europe, North and South America carrying their culture of dance and celebration. The celebration of colours, Holi, is one of the most popular festivals of every single Hindu celebration. It denotes the finish of winter in India and respects the spring season. On this happy day, individuals play with colours, meet and welcome each other and make fresh starts. And it's cultural and religious significance are.
There are some popular legends behind Holi Celebration. Let me share a brief about a few of them.
Like each other celebration in the nation, Holi is likewise connected with prevalent legends. These intriguing stories relate to the history behind different celebration customs.
The story of Radha(godess) and Krishna(god)and they both are lovers.
In the locale of Braj in UP, Holi is celebrated until the day of Rangpanchmi*as an immense celebration, in memory of the reverential love of Krishna and Radha. A neighbourhood legend is related to this also. At the point when Krishna was an infant, he gained an unmistakable blue skin shading after drinking the harmed bosom milk of the she-devil spirit, Putana. Afterwards, when he wound up youthful, he would regularly feel dismal about whether the reasonable hued Radha or different young ladies in the town could ever like him on account of his dull shading. Yielding to his distress, Krishna's mom requested that he proceed to shade Radha's face with any shading he needed to. So when Krishna connected shading to Radha, they both turned into a couple, and from that point forward, individuals have begun playing with colours on Holi.
    The story of Holika Dahan
Legend has it that once, there was an amazing lord named Hiranyakashipu. He was a fallen angel and was loathed for his remorselessness. He viewed himself as God and needed every one in his kingdom to adore him like one. In any case, his very own child, Prahlada, was an aficionado of Lord Vishnu and would not adore his dad. Furious with the defiance of his child, Hiranyakashipu took a stab at killing his child various occasions, yet nothing worked. He at that point asked his insidious sister, Holika, for help. Holika had a unique intensity of being resistant to flame. Along these lines, to execute Prahlada, she deceived him into sitting with her on fire. In any case, because of her malicious aims, her capacity ended up inadequate and she was signed to fiery debris. Then again, Prahlada picked up this invulnerability and was spared. This is the reason the principal day of Holi is commended as Holika Dahan and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.

let me give you a possible logic as to why our cultures are intertwined, after Africa, Indian subcontinent is considered to be the hub for mass expansion of human race, and we have the oldest civilisation on planet, so the cultures, a lot of other rituals (which have now evolved over time across globe) have common roots. Even the oldest genetic material can be traced back to Indian origins, it's a hotly debated theory, but evidence is emerging to support the claims.

Holi is celebrated in spring, to be exact on the last day of the year (last day, full moon day of the last month Phagun) according to hindu calendar which is a lunar calendar and most of the hindu fastivals are celebrated according to it... It's like waking up from winter and being fresh to welcome the year ahead...
It's mostly celebrated for 2 day and there is a story to it, in short, there was king called Hiranyakashipu, who used to call himself a god and told his people to worship him as god and if someone doesn't agree he used to punish them but then he got to know his own son, Prahlad, doesn't regards him as a god instead his son used to worship Lord Vishnu (if you don't we have millions of god and we can choose which one we want to worship, no restrictions... 😂) So that king asked his sister, Holika, to burn herself with his son because she had a boon (or blanket which can't be burnt) but when she sat on fire with her nephew instead of him she burnt and died... So first day is when we burn woods in every colony like a big bonfire and worship, it's called Holika Dahan (burning of Holika) and then the second day is our celebration with colours which is called Holi... As much I know this festival is celebrated from thousands of years as our civilization is thousands of years...

I have a theory about how Indian music could have travelled to south america. A lot of Indians were brought to the caribbean islands and guyana as slaves by the british in the 19th and early 20th century. The music might have been introduced in the local culture by these folks as they integrated with the local culture over the years. I just want to state I'm not basing this on any musical history knowledge but just the movement of people who still practice indian cultural customs to this day

It is interesting...Latin American culture and Indian culture have loads of similarities...from food to traditions to music.
The Portuguese were the first ones to come to India, then followed by the others, mainly the French and obviously the British. So the most probable way would be through the Portuguese.

Holi signifies the triumph of good over evil. It also marks the beginning of spring season.
Holi gets its name from a demon Holika who was ordered by her brother to kill her nephew i.e his own little son who was a great devotee of the God. While trying to kill by sitting on the fire she was burnt but the little boy was saved due to his devotion towards God. The colour is symbolic representation of the ashes of the demon.

Oh we do the water baloons, water guns, eggs in baloon & all that as well.
Holi is basically water + colors on 1 day & some do a bon fire kind of thing on day 2 & some burn the worn & stained clothes into it. That has more religious significance to it, related to death of Holika.
A long story in Hindu mythology.
Also people used to use these extremely pigmented permanent sort of colors that literally stain your skin & don't wash off, but now more herbal colors r used, that don't stain. But u still need to be careful on streets lol.
Also people drink thandai which is milk + almonds etc + "bhang"
Bhang is basically cannabis from which u also get Marijuana but it's a different preparation.
They also make bhang snacks, fritters. So yeah it gets u intoxicated.

Actually ancient Vedic culture was followed by the indigenous people of America's. Many ancient god's statues have been found especially in South America. It is said that the Mayan civilization had ties with the demon king Ravana as per Vedic texts. It is claimed by the Srilankan people that Ravana had a under sea tunnel from where he could travel from Srilanka to the Americans.
Prominent god's worshipped in America were Hanuman, and Jatayu.

But, Bhakta Prahalad, who was a devotee of Lord Vishnu, survived the fire without any harm and instead Holika got burnt and died in fire. Next day there was a celebration. Holi gets its name from Holika and a ceremonial fire is burnt on the eve of the celebration.

Couldn't resist writing this after listening to you. It is known that Flamenco is Indian. Even after Spain became catholic, they retained pagan customs like rising of the dead spirit etc. And Hindus (Indians) are considered pagan by other religions. When the spaniards took their customs to the americas, the imported slave africans were proselytised as well as the native Indians(?) as they were called. The slaves started celebrating the customs of their white spaniard masters in their own way, in the process bringing in many more beautiful flavours. The african slaves really looked forward to celebrating carvinal as a get away from their miserable lives and gave it everything and their best shot. What we find sad is that mixed people glorify their white descent and fervently try to bury their african or native ancestry.

Flamenco has Indian roots but is also equally influenced by Arabic, North African and Jewish cultures. You have to listen to a Flamenco song to catch some of these influences.

Hey guys.. South America has deeper links with Bharat (India) for many thousands of years .. Ancient India had links with Mayans, Inkas, Aztek ... even before that.. some say.. its Indian influence into South America .. also called Paathala Lokam in some of Scripts..
Ancient Indians were major navigators across the high seas for many thousands of years.. they moved from India to South East Asia to Australia to South America .. matter of fact.. India had huge merchant ships going from India to Africa as well.. so from both sides (Atlantic, Pacific side.. Ancient India had very good knowledge of the High Seas) .. Vascodegama was escorted by massive Indian merchant ships from africa to India...which vascodegama didn't discover the root.. it was used for thousands of years by ancient Indias..

One interesting fact is Indian subcontinent was once part of Gondwanaland which also had African continent in it. Over period due to continental drift this Indian subcontinent was detached from Gondwanaland and attached to Asian continent forming Himalayas.
This may be the reason some of basic music and culture came with us...

This festival #Holi is thousands of years old guys. I don't know about how it influenced other cultures, but this festival's root is definitely in India's #Vrindavan city ❤️ The City of Lord Krishna 🙏 The story related to Holi is even more older & basically signifies *Victory of good over evil*. It has hindu religious significance but still has a party vibes due to the way it's celebrated.

As you mentioned playful and flirty nature of a song, you guys should definitely check out 'Lahu Muhn lag gaya' (meaning - Tasted the blood, here blood is compared to the taste of love for the first time) from the movie Ramleela starring Deepika Padukone again and you can't get enough of her. You'll love that song which also has another great song 'Laal Ishq' by everyone's favourite Arijit Singh, but not getting ahead of myself you should definitely checkout any of these two gems and if possible share your reaction and reviews with us.

Red chillies 🌶 originated in Mexico and because of the Portuguese in the 1400/1500s when they was colonising they ended up taking the red chillis to India Goa to be exact but spices like black pepper and cinnamon etc all are Indian spices people normally think red chillis India but it’s really from Mexico thanks to the Portuguese it became a big part of Indian cuisine

It's true, most things originated from India. Other cultures got influenced through trade relationships, especially spice trades. It's hard to realise but if you research properly, you will come to know that Indus valley civilization of India is the oldest civilization in the world. The originations influenced other parts of the world as they invaded the country and explored more about the culture...

As you have started to react on party songs. Its time to react on 'Bang Bang' title track starring Hrithik Roshan(most handsome man in world from past few years and best dancer) and Katrina Kaif (powerful dancer). Basically, this track is a tribute to Michael Jackson as Hrithik is huge fan of him. You will definitely be shocked by this track.

South american music is so diverse because the continent got influences from african, asian and european music simultaneously. Asia, Africa and the Americas were colonised by one or the other european nation in the recent history. The colonisers brought with them slaves from Africa and indentured labourers from Asia (predominantly from British India and China). These labourers brought with them their own ways of cooking, palates, ingredients, music, musical instruments, traditions and much more. Some of musical traditions and instruments may be similar just by coincidence and may have evolved parallelly because the climate (tropical) and environment (Rain Forest, Savannah) are similar.

Holi is celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil and also it's the start of spring season. Some people also say it's to celebrate the love between lord Krishna and Radha. The word Holi originates from Holika an evil woman who was killed in fire similarly a day before we play with colours we light up a bonfire and do rituals which is called Holika dahn to ward off all the evil. There is a huge story behind this I just tried to explain in short

Holi is basically the festival of colour and love and to celebrate the arrival of Spring season.
As per ancient history it is to celebrate love between two deities “Krishna and Radha”.
This festival is celebrated in each part of India with love and everyone irrespective of the religion takes part in it…. That’s the beauty of this festival.

There is a story in Indian mythology where an evil king tried to kill his son (7-8yrs old name prahlad) because the kid worshiped lord Vishnu ( the king hated him ) . But he was unsuccessful everytime so he called his sister holika, who was immune to fire ,to kill his son by sitting in fire with him ,but the lord saves Prahlad and instead Holika got burned ... So before playing holi with colours and stuff, we burn this pile of woods to represent victory of good over evil.
