    Folks!! I hope you enjoy this insider view of exactly what I as an executive recruiter would love to receive from a job seeker!!

  • @andylacivita
    @andylacivita  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Friends!! I can tell you as a long-term executive recruiter, this script from you would make me respond 100% of the time. That is no exaggeration. At a minimum, I would respond and we can get connected and open up a relationship even if I didn't have a job for you right at that moment. Remember, goal #1 for you is to get the recruiter to respond so you can build from there. Hope you enjoy this video and tactic. And, please make sure to SUB to the channel for new videos weekly and Live Office Hours on Thursdays!

    Thanks Andy. It's really hard to understand how we can give people value first but your messages really make it easier to understand. Looking forward to trying the strategy out

    This is valuable information. I'm pretty sure you'll never get this genuinely concerned advice anywhere else. Thanks once again, Andy. More power to you.

    Biggest thing I take away from this - "Focus on helping others first, and what's in it for you, second" Sounds like an expert sales strategy, as long as it's genuine

    Love this! Many people struggle with properly introducing themselves on LinkedIn. Andy makes this a "fool-proof" approach.

    I like your approach, "here is what I would do..."
    Then it is up to the advisee to adapt.

    Hi Andy when you see a job posted is it better to reach out to the recruiter that posted the job before applying? And what about the same situation but where you are already connected to a recruiter at that company should you reach out to them 1st? And if so what should you say?

    Can executive search firms charge both or either party a finder fee? My company waived the contingency fee option and went with a contract with the search firm. I’m curious on whether or not the search firm can charge the candidate a finders fee

      Muhammad, I have a video on how to work with executive recruiters. Just search the channel. It’s called something like working with executives recruiters and third party search firms: a jobseekers guide. Enjoy.

    Andrew, you are an amazing man, but I have to tell you that my impression of recruiters is that of sales people who only have time for the paying customer.

    • @andylacivita
      @andylacivita  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are many who are exactly as you describe. :-(. I wish that wasn’t the case.

    Hi Andrew, first of all, thank you for all your tips, I have been relying on you for a while now!! I'd like to ask whether you think contacting an executive recruiter/ CEO of an SME through both linkedin + email is too much? Many thanks in advance.

      Try one Method at a time. That would be better.

    my recruiter said this in the rejection letter: Despite your excellent qualifications, we have received other applications which more closely match the requirements for the position. How do I read it? is it diplomatic or really I have an excellent profile? I only sent a CV and cover letter.

    • @andylacivita
      @andylacivita  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would take it at face value. It does sounds like a form letter but my guess is you do have nice qualifications. You just need to keep looking for the right organization!!
