I`m really happy you guys doing more of London, a lot of people been sayin that the food in the UK and London is bad and I always direct them to your videos food guides of London, one of most eclectic and diverse cities for food in the world. And yes, Indian tastes better in London
Do people say that? I know the stereotype of British food being bad, but don't think people say that we don't have good food, it's just that they're often from or inspired by other nationalities
I think people are saying British/English food are bad NOT food in the UK are bad. I don't agree on the statement, but British/English food are not amazing in central London when you have high business rates and rent to pay and some are pretty touristy, fish and chips at Leicester Square any one?
I think they're talking about the typical "beige" British food, not the actual food and restaurant quality that you can get in London. I'm from NYC and work in London and I think London has way more variety and better quality food than NYC. Also, London has tons of markets, higher quality grocery stores, butchers, fish mongers, bakeries etc. We barely have any markets at all in NYC and our grocery stores are garbage compared to London. I put London at the same level of the large Asian cities in terms of food quality and diversity of ethnic cuisines.
This is such a brilliant concept! It truly personifies what London's food culture is all about - a melting pot of cultures, cuisines, textures and flavours. It's just one of the many reasons as to why I adore London!
Lads, gotta be Lebanese food next👌🏾 Been going to a few different spots and then recommending them to mates after as they have no clue where's good to go! Brilliant episode as always🙌🏾
Rogue shout but would love to see Indonesian cuisine done next! It's so underrated, especially in the UK. Could be a good little challenge to find a few places in London
Felt like your Cousin just came home from London and telling the family about his Indian food hunting with British twist. Sending Love 💕 and Regards from North Bengal, India. Keep it up Topjaw ✨ and Come visit NorthEast someday.....
Thank you this was truly most amazing reviews, mouth is watering going to London this summer for the first time and we are beyond excited. So well done. New follower👍🙏
Hello from New Zealand! So stoked you guys are doing a lot of London vids because I'll be over at Christmas time and am building my list of restaurants to visit based off your vids!
Kia Ora, I personally wouldn't eat authentic Indian food in Central London (I have lots of Indian and British Indian friends), you can definitely find trendy and innovative food in Central London, but if you after authentic you have to go outside "central" London. Go to Southall and Wembley, where the big Indian communities live. I am from NZ as well and been living in London for nearly 15 years. I go to Central London for Chinese and drinking more than Indian food. The default one to go is Dishoom, try it out but you will queue for a few hours. Have a safe trip
I’m not sure that’s the best advice. Dishoom is great but it is a chain restaurant. Truly Authentic Indian food can be found in India but London has a rich Indian culture in many parts of of the city and we’re lucky to have that. Certainly don’t have to venture out of town!
@@topjaw but what's wrong with chain store? Nobu is a chain and the Big Mumma group is a chain (and you have profiled). Dishoom was started with Indian founders (I have friends that knows one of them) as a concept which obviously became very successful to attract investment which turns in to a selective chain. I am not advising OP to go to Wagamama or Pizza Express which is a "chain" most people should avoid unless they have a family with children or simply don't know what Asian food should taste like. I am not Indian, but all my Indian friends had told me to avoid Indian in central London if possible. I am just listening to their advice as they go to Dishoom themselves.
My best friends birthday meal was at Kricket, service was amazing and we couldn't pick a favourite dish because it was all so good! Cocktails bang too!
I’ve only traveled to London once from Utah. Went to dishoom and loved it but now see how many amazing places I missed out on. I need to come back soon and check these places out because they look heavenly
As an American Anglophile I just have to point out that whilst “having an Indian” is an acceptable phrase in England, it’s totally cringe in the US. 😂🤣
Yes to Turkish! Like someone else commented, it’s way more than a dirty doner kebab. The pide and lahmacun, the stews, the soups, the meats, the salads etc.. just everything! Happy to recommend a mixture of places!
Fabulous editing chaps, the songs were great, would have liked to see more restraints though, I don’t think 3 is enough. I think it works better for the show if your doing a proper crawl and progressively getting more jolly. This felt a bit more civilised and I want fun, high energy silliness. Turkish is a great shout, best donner kebab in london please x P.S. there is next level Indian Restraunt in kingly court featured on chefs table
Wonderful stuff again lads! Love me some Indian cuisine cant wait for the next vid! On a side note who was your favourite performance at Glasto? Sam Fender looked mad as!!
you guys were shooting next to us at oxomoco sunday ! wish i would have caught you ! hope you enjoyed le industry! that pizza and soft serve is ridiculous
Btw we just dropped our London 2022 vlog and we stood right on that corner on Brick Lane! ☺️ great minds 😉 music volume is back on point again guys, well done!
Love the curry houses on Brick Lane. Some really amazing food. We've eaten in probably a dozen or more over the years of our holidays in London. Sheba is one of the best, I agree. As for the next cuisine to try/feature, I agree with Turkish. Our favourite Turkish place went out of business this year and we need a new option. Cheers!
Really enjoyed this one, like your friend, very knowledgeable. Like the show when you dont drink quite as much, on the show. Drink after. Like the cocktails and beers, just not you sloshed. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the recos guys. They all look delicious! Btw, Jesse are you going blond to ginger the older you get!? Sorry just something I thought I noticed by passing in one of the frames.
@@topjaw we loved Mackie Mayor food hall and Duke Street food market. We even tried scouse at Maggie Mays! But our absolute FAVOURITE thing was brunch at Federal. AMAZING! We are Americans who live in both Texas and Cheltenham Gloucestershire. Let me know if you ever decide to do a Topjaw edition in Cheltenham! 😂
Gymkhana Club is really excellent. I actually just visited the ‘real’, original, Gymkhana Club in New Delhi, which is still a working sporting and dinning club open since the colonial times.
