😁 Till now I didn't know that thrs even a thing called a "Warm Chaat". In the North, any yogurt based chaat hs to be served super chilled. Even the chutneys hv massive blocks of ice, floating in them to keep the temp stable. The coinages by KA are supremely funny at times 😊 Loved the episode and also the food served. Munh mein paani aa rha tha 🤤
Happy to see that you have given an honest review about Dishoom. Living in London and having visited dishoom I personally feel it is overhyped and I am glad that you didn’t feel pressurised to give a sugar coated review as it is so popular here.
100% There are so many better Indian & Pakistani restaurants in ethnic areas. Dishoom is all about great interior design & shit food. They Biriyani is the worst I have ever had. Some of the stuff they pass off isn't even Irani cafe. For example that broccoli dish, that's fusion at best. I have travelled half of India so trust me.
The next time you are here you must try the Hawksmoor Steak house. More than happy to take you there. There are some fantastic steak restaurants but this is my absolute favourite. Happy to suggest a few quirky English spots for your vlogs. Cheers
Granary Square that you visited here used to be where the canal barges and railways connecting you to the rest of the country used to be based out of. Good catch - you were in a converted warehouse :) There's a lot of interesting architecture to see in the area and also a lot of spots connecting you with the Harry Potter lore. Also, the BCL (British Council Library) is around the corner :)
What's the point in dining Indian cuisines when we go outside? Better to try local cuisines which will be more authentic (although agriculture is limited and they import most things in these countries, still better to check out places where they at least incorporate local vegetables & fruits and the dishes which are own to land... There are vegetarians/vegans in every country...)
Unless its a long stay and you feel the urge of going back to your staple food... For a short trip it is better to explore local cuisines.... (in fact these will be less adultrated and more fresh/natural/healthy)
@@madhupjadhav1379 what would they eat as local food ? It here is nothing they could try except fish and chips ! The rest of dishes are of different countries ….
I live in London. Very limited British cuisine, unless you want fish and chips or meat roast style dinner! Most of the restaurants are international cuisine. The national dish of the UK is chicken tikka masala 😅. They love stealing from India!
That would seem so. But the protocol on London tube escalators is to stand on the right and leave room on the left for those wanting to pass. You can look it up.
thank you ,you are right ,I havent been to UK ,and I presumed the road side rule is followed but it seems not so ,in japan they stand on left ! I enjoy your vlogs incidentally @@KripalAmannaVlogs
Next time try the Shoreditch branch, house black dhal with Rumalai rotti, I think lamb dishes are good too and finish with Kulfi. I think they do bottomless chai where you can have five chais' in a glass.
Good morning dear Kripal - Boss compliments the dish as excellent in the preview . This itself has set the tone for rest of the dining experience at Dishoom . The atmosphere itself is casual and does remind me of Mumbai . Well put “ Gymkhana meets Irani Cafe “ 😀 Cheers 🍻 Oh wow so the House Chaat is excellent. This evening was planning to have a Dahi Papdi Chaat and this sets the tone for my evening indulgence 😀 The beer looks good and thanks for your narration on the flavour . Oh the Chicken Berry Biryani is similar to what we get in Britannia 👍 Thw greens are glistening . What is the Kalari Kofta made up of ? Ok once again you read my mind and provided an insight into the ingredients and flavour of the Kofta . The quantity of the dishes are pretty large . No Raita with the Biryani ? Some onion Raita would have gone well with the Biryani. You could have opted for a Mutton Biryani if it was on the menu . This was yet another smooth and wonderful Vlog . We are virtually living the London diaries through your wonderful vlogs . Glad that we have more to come . Thank you so much dear Kripal . Have a wonderful Sunday . Loads of love and respect 💯💯💯🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️
Glad you enjoyed this one too, Rajesh. The inspiration for the biryani is Britannia certainly, but not quite there, imo. Have a great weekend too. The next one is the last one in the London series. Hope you enjoyed the tour.
Tried Dishoom in Edinburgh. Not a place you go looking for authentic Indian food. Rather experimental and mostly for a foreign palate with a nice atmosphere. Nothing wrong with that.
Kripal, you missed the main act! The ruby chicken and the black dal. Perhaps another visit is due. Not surprised the Biriyani didn’t meet expectations, after the variety you get in Karnataka / Kerela.
Sir u r referring to rice dish as biryani ,i don't know what's written in menu as but the parsi dish in Britannia Bombay is known as mutton berry pulao it's never a biryani .....n moreover I was surprised that u ordered chicken pulao rather than the original version which is mutton berry pulao ( if mutton was an option that is )
@@KripalAmannaVlogs ok now i can assume n understand ur reactions more that it's a dubious take on the original legendary mutton berry pulao infact once on a Tuesday veg day I had a gobhi berry pulao at SBOW in Delhi😅 but that was tasty too .....n chicken version is fine but they shouldn't have written biryani for it
It’s a nice restaurant, food is also good in taste but everything is overly priced. On our recent visit we spent £100.00 for four of us but still came back hungry it felt like. We didn’t even have desserts or fancy drinks. Mostly main coarse and Naan which were so expensive.
Kripal, your T-shirt colour is lovely!! It appeared a bit rusty orange inside but outside it looks that lovely red! Good to see you both having a good time there. Have a good rest of your vacation and hope to see your "local videos" soon. 👍👍

Usually escalators we stand on side of traffic in country so in UK and India ,Australia etc on left and in UAE or USA its on right

How much was the cost of this lunch ?
If memory serves me well, I paid around 55 to 60 odd pounds for this lunch.
You should pour kofta and its curry over the biryani. 🙂

No disrespect to the her but I'm flabbergasted that you checked how the chat is from an Eastern European lady.
Dishoom is Over hyped ... To enjoy better taste of Indian food I would suggest Bayleaf, The Famous Curry Bazar, Sheba, Sitara etc.
Bay leaf is over hyped too
Have they copied from Britania, Ballard Pier Mumbai. And also Berry Pulav..
I think that is the inspiration although the menu mentions a kachchi biryani style of cooking.
