And that ladies and gentlemen is how its done. Awesome video. And nice edits. Love 3M compounds and poishes expensive but the best for our needs. Keep them videos coming brother 🫡💪🏼
Amazing video! Ive messed up clear bends and it has scarred me 😂 Its exactly as you say, big panels should just have a full reclear, not worth the headache, and clear blends on smaller or hide in body line areas.
Keep em coming. Maybe some intentional mess ups that occurs and how to fix em on the spot. How about a burn through while cutting the panel you just painted and how to save it? Like right in the middle of a hood?
All great 👍 ideas definitely will try to work on getting some of those done. Thank you 🙏 for the suggestion I appreciate people like you who want more videos and want to suggest what you’re interested in seeing. And I always appreciate all your support. Thank you 🙏 I appreciate you.
I am new to your new channel. and I love how your videos was made very straight to the point! I was actually on the middle of painting my own car. and I am having a hard time choosing the grit for my sand paper. may I ask what grit did you use specifically for this video before you applied the clear? Thank you and more power!

Man my guy I needed this I guess I was missing some steps I only do bumper blends and try to walk away with just using blender since I do only dealer used cars but sometimes I have to come back and blend the following week to find out my blend area has fisheye or its hazy so anyways thank you for the help
If you’re doing blends at dealers make sure that the tires and wheels don’t have any tire shine. Also make sure to clean your panels thoroughly with wax and grease remover to avoid having those kinds of problems. Don’t just clean the blend area clean the whole panel.
It doesn't look like you scuffed up the shiny area where you put the blend, aren't you afraid of the blend pulling back without scuffing up that area? Good content sir👍🏼
I use a axalta 790 from work which is hard to get online. But I have an Amazon associate link of a good blender that works good and the price is good. Amazon associate link 👉amzn.to/3Bvs6yp
Like I said in the video, you should always finish off a panel thats been compounded with a finish glaze polish and then hit it with a coat of carnuba car wax and that should clean up the hazy look.
You shouldn’t have a white line if it’s done right. Sometimes depending on the color and where you did the blend it might leave a faint hazy line on the edge of the blend but if you polish it and give it a nice glaze it should go away.

Thanks 🙏 Triggerman your the best brother.
@@J.Lulo_ INSTEAD OF WAITING OVER NIGHT CAN YOU NOT USE A HET LAMP TO DRY IT IN LESS THAN 1 HR?
No, to polish paint you should always wait overnight.
Great video
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.

Ya good advise I try to use scuff stuff and a Grey scotch but ya the bumper have polish and silicone everywhere makes it tough

You can spray the blender in the shiny area. What you can’t do is paint or spray clear on the shiny area.
@@J.Lulo_ gotcha thanks!

what clear coat blender was used?

Sometimes, after I do a buff it still has a hazy look to it. What do I do to fix it and what am I doing wtong?
Could always try to wet sand with 3000 grit first.
Like I said in the video, you should always finish off a panel thats been compounded with a finish glaze polish and then hit it with a coat of carnuba car wax and that should clean up the hazy look.
@J.Lulo_ got it, what if it's fresh paint, will wax cause clear to die back?
No wax shouldn’t cause the clear to die back.
I still sometimes have trouble blending clearcoat having a white line where I did the blend

@@J.Lulo_ I think what happened is I had my edge blender to close and I ran the clear
It’s ok it happens. That’s how we learn.
@@J.Lulo_ it can still be tricky even after all the yrs I've been painting
