Thanks for uploading these :)
Thank you for uploading. I do like this episode. There is not enough celebrating of peoples acheivements!
This was a really good episode.
I used to love this episode, but I can barely look at Graeme Linehan now.
? you can barley look ?
like anyone cares, its not like you watch father ted and think abour trans issues... he doesnt mention it in his work why should you care
@@SoSo-li6dn He's got some kind of pathological obsession with defining whether trans women are women. It's sad to see him go to the wall over something that really doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things.
@@TheIkaraCult yeah but if you believe in a mans choice to turn into a woman you must believe in a mans choice to go to the wall over something.
The next episode on this playlist has been removed.
That's cool Charlie interviews RTD!
oh my gosh...the real Mark and Jeremy :)
oh thanks i see thanks for explanation
Jesse And Sam are amazing.
Thanks for re-uploading, mr themusic
Why can I hear the sounds of children playing in a playground in the Jesse Armstrong/Sam Bain bits??
Oh the noddys, THE NODDYS!
where is part 2????
part 2?!
Imagine the sound 11 year old girls make when they see their favourite pop star; it's onomatopoeic
@Omnilegence What argument?
Christ, I've been saying "LYNE-han" all this time!
doo doo da da doo doo da da doo doo da da doo doo
was already before this show.
He's surely just got that pad on his lap to look smarter. Its working.
By market trader, I think he means market stalls, rather than working in the City.
Rachel Williams I was thinking this lol.
Both different professions and the difference in wag is significant
What does the word "squee" mean?
@sethwrecklollis it's actually quite interesting, seeing as the majority of the time charlie is mocking something puerile... now you get to see why he thinks the other drek is so crap, when there's clever people like these working on shows he (and we) does like...
lutube.leeds.ac.uk/icspjn/videos/4388 for part 2, which is missing
@kitkatcrunchy1996 Nah they've done it with other shows, too-shows like the Office, which is owned by the BBC, and had no reference to Channel 4 or any of it's properties. Similiarly, the BBC have done it with some C4 stuff, too, despite them containing material that has nothing to do with the BBC
Nod shots
@Omnilegence I did find your initial complaint a bit pompous and pernickety. I don't think that Brooker would be above using the term. He once said that he'd still like The Wire if it farted in his face. But, whatever. Appreciate you being reasonable, unlike the enraged adolescent who just called us both idiots for no apparent reason. Have a good life.
@TheEvilPet Good luck with that. Hopefully one day you'll write something as brilliant as Peep Show.
@Omnilegence Now that you've proven your intellectual superiority with the aid of a thesaurus, we can proceed on our way, safe in the knowledge that haughty putdowns on TH-cam most definitely do not betray latent insecurities.
@Omnilegence You suggested that he was stupid by sarcastically apologising in case your response confused him. Then, you patronised him by calling him Petey. That's two putdowns. Couple this with the verbosity of your comment, and I think it's clear to see why he perceived it as haughty.
no different from getting excited over writers or directors or musicians
@Cybrus07 I don't know if you read his comments too but if you had then you surely would have to concede that he would be a fool to expect anything less than an outright declarstion of his dtupidity on my part. It was polite retraint that limited me to implying it.
I only started calling him 'Petey' after he called my style haughty.
And finally I don't think either of these two, were they accurate, constitute a putdown to anyone of reasonable sensitivity.
whats squee ?
@MadOldPete Go back and read :).
yes thanks SOO much for uploading these :D great for when i'm in a particularly bitchy cynical mood! haha
@Omnilegence There isn't an argument, let's be honest.
No, mostly apples and pears.
the latter
so he sold lemons?
okay, I squeed at Graham Linehan. I FUCKING LOVE GRAHAM
#ThanksGraham
@MadOldPete HAHahaha...ha? Hmmm. If you'd made that comment to me in public, the surrounding public would all be cringing at just how unfunny that, and hence you, were/are. Lord alone knows how you appreciate Charlie Brooker.
It's onomatopoeic a term for a small, involuntary, enthusiastic sound that you make upon recognition of something you care about- a bit like a squeal. It's usually associated with slightly pathetic teenage girls, and once you utter it, you may feel shame and self-loathing and a strong wish to die instantly, but ultimately it is an expression of love, which is, I suppose, generally a good thing.
Well done uncovering a hoax!
How nerdy is it to squee over screenwriters?
@MadOldPete I posit that you have made some erroneous assumptions when you decided to dissect the psychology behind my comments.
Neither bitchiness nor undying glory nor even coolness are goals of mine. My original comment was made to express my distaste for an immature term of expression, specifically 'squee', and my comment in response to you was a declaration of my lack of appreciation for your weak attempt at humour/abrasion.
Apologies if this confuses you. Petey.
@MadOldPete What do you mean proceed on our way? Where are we going, and why was my comment crucial to proceedings?
I didn't use a thesaurus and where was the putdown? Where is the haughtiness? I see only you, Petey, persistently offering up mediocre, cliché insights into my no doubt nerdy, insecure mess of a mind.
But why? What did I do to provoke you Petey?
p.s. I don't think my intellectual superiority was ever in doubt, you haven't engaged with a single argument yet.
@Omnilegence Not really. Pretty pompous of you to take the time to whinge about someone's use of the term "squee" (and then get uppity and flowery when it wasn't well received). I actually found it fairly amusing, and so did 18 other people. To me, it conjures up the image of a hyper fan-girl.
Patronising someone and implying they're stupid constitute putting them down.
You called him Petey before he called you haughty, not after.
Hard to believe Russel T rewrites anything. His writing is shit and i really dislike his visual style too when he happens to be a showrunner. "Tacky" doesn't quite capture the look
What, you reckon he turns in a load of absolute drivel and script editors have to mould it into something almost coherent?
