Yeah its good to stay just the way you are and i feel really bad for female idols who passed away bcz of these rude comments i hope they treat them like humam
Being a female is hard no matter what industry. Even as a model where women supposedly rule. I support female idols and admire them for fighting current battles by chipping around at injustice for future generations of females.
Imagine going thru all that with painful period cramps and the uncomfortable feeling of wearing a pad. Some females have to take meds to stop their periods for certain activities which is very bad for their health
as a young MALE stan. i hate the fact that a lot of men sexualize and harass female idols. its obviously offensive to thousands of people, including themselves and other male idols. like, seriously, show them comfort and support. they go through literal hell just to get treated like this?! i think its time we need to legitimately start speaking up about this gross problem and try to put a stop to this as* treatment towards female idols (sounds cringe i know, let me have my life) if you find something on the internet thats sexualizing female idols or male idols, please find a way to report it. please continue to show support to female idols if they dont have “porcelain white” skin, a thigh gap, a slim build or if they dont meet your expectations.
Seriously what is it with female kpop idols being mistreated these amazing and talented woman work so hard to give us great music but in return they get horrible things they don't deserve this.
The whole short dress situation is to make the idol look shorter because, unfortunately, a large majority of MEN don't always find taller women attractive. So you'll notice that with Joy, Rosé, Lisa, and Aisha, they usually give them smaller length dresses that reveal way too much but it's simply so they look as tall as they shorter members. I hate the fact that they do that to them tho. Like pants are awesome too
I love how Hwasa just flipped the bird on Korean beauty standards: I don't need to fit your standards, I AM my own beauty standard. Another thing that women in kpop (or any celebrity status) gets that men don't: being a target of hate. It's cool to hate on Taylor Swift for the memes. Mamamoo, Red Velvet, Black Pink, Aespa... they get hate for just existing! You don't see that happen with male idols.
4:57 Irene has spoke out and confronted the stylist many times about the uncomfortable clothes but the stylist didn't listen and now she's fired (as she should be)
I am also very angry at the fact that many times male idols say rude shit to female idols and are forgiven for it. An example is when Shindong said that it's ok for men to be fat but when women are it isn't. Also Kyuhyun made Goo Hara cry in a radio show. And let's not forget all of the other times when sexual harrasment towards female idols was considered funny/ laughed at. (Example: Jyp's creepy videos and attitude also the fact that Jyp only started getting canceled because of the situation with Got7 when Jyp has been creepy and problematic for YEARS and no one said anything) also, the fact that Ailee's carreer was almost over because her ex decided to leak her nudes. How come the public decided to try and cancel her when it was her ex boyfriend who sould've faced the consequences and possibly face the law!!! I also want to mention how Taeyeon has been through so much, including when she got death threats and a bunch of hate for dating Baekhyun. Like, she isn't the only one in the relationship, he is also dating (not that I think he should've also gotten hate for it, but that only she got hate for it, I think that no one should get hate for dating). The list of these instances is so long, but I just felt like mentioning some. Insteaf of bashing female idols for not being puppets, let's support them and understand all of the aditional struggles they go through just for being women. Strong queens🛐
The way that these women are being treated really is disgusting. These companies need to stop the abuse. They didn't train for months, and possibly years, just to be treated like a puppet on a string.
Only after Sulli passed, I took her advice about bras! She is so right. Now when I wear them it feels restrictive to the point breathing is uncomfortable. Seeing Hwasa and even Miley Cyrus makes me less worried about how I'm perceived
Also, in a show during kokobop era exo’s kai had the audacity to criticize female idols, he said that female idols’ dances are basic and easy and kept comparing between boy groups’ dances” and girl groups, did he forget about the heels? The uncomfortable clothes? The heavy accessories? The extreme diets? The fckn so called period? Also, some women have conditions which make their period literally hell. When I get mine I can’t even stand up! This abuse needs to stop and people should realize female idols are humans Edit: I almost forgot sullyeon’s case, she got criticized for her strong gaze on stage 💀
He just said that the dance moves are much easier compared to the dance moves men does.he didn't mention periods, heels or anything,he was just saying that the dance is much easier
As dancer kai is right, all those things aside girl group dancers are WAY easier than most bg choreography, what he said is the truth no matter how you received. he didn't have an ill intent behind you trying to push the idea that he had it
It's only right that their choreography is easier than bg choreography because bg don't have to deal with all those uncomfortable things and still have to put up an amazing performance.
I have wondered about that. I know women can dance hard dances that require all muscles and strength and jumping and all that, so why don't their songs have those dances? I blame the ones who make their dances and designate how their dances should be. They want women idols to look feminine and cute while being sexy, dance feminine and cute while being sexy, talk feminine and innocent while being sexy. I really want to stan a female kpop group, but I'm not really into the feminine/cute/sexy dance snd look. It would be nice if there are also female group who have badass concept, look and style, outfits the opposite of innocent, cute and sexy (more like elegant outfits that intimidate people and command their respect, they don’t show skin but look more like those badass spy-girl outfits) and hard dances that intimidate people and command their respect (which we women are more than capableof doing). I blame the agency and perverts in the industry wanting to give female idols this infantile, innocent, and cute image, which only does them deservice.
This is truly sickening sad and an absolute nightmare; i feel so sad for all female idols that constantly endure the painful aftermath of these not only company ceos but male idols and fans too; i hope they get the support and respect they deserve
I literally just saw a video before this about how female idols have easy choreos rather than male idols. Like WTF they have equally endured pain by wearing heals and female groups have pretty hard choreos. I really hope they get more support and love from everyone. EQUALITY IS ALSO A MUST. They're all hardworking and gorg women
What really upsets me is that I have a few K-pop friends who prefer the boy groups over girl groups which is fine but then they judge the female idols in groups for how they look and their weight. Which is messed up. Like one of my friends once said they hated Aespa because of Ningning (apparently she was ugly but she really isnt- ) so i told them how messed up it is and the only response I got was "Whatever, their just there to be judged anyway" Wtf!!?!?
The fact that some people who shame female idols are FEMALES THEMSELVES like girl my best friend used to be a hater of all female idols, when I found out I had to end our friendship because as a multi group stan, I respect all idols, no matter the gender.
It's because of their own insecurities. It's eating them up inside. That's why they resort to bashing and hating female idols because it makes them feel a bit better. They will never have that small pretty face, perfect smooth skin, slim body and if they were dating a male idol these haters are crazy about, bruh that insecurity increase by 1000x. It's like they're being slapped in the face with the reality that they can never date their idol because look at that woman he's with. Their delulu world is in shambles. Thats fxked up I know but that happens most of the time with these haters which is sadly mostly women too.
Fr tho, being a female K-pop idol is hard. They deserve respect just like male idols, they should be able to do what they want to do and stop getting malicious comments for stupid little things. Remember they want to live a life like everyone and they were born as humans not robots but the stigma is everywhere smh.
The bts and red velvet thing made me SO MAD. Like why do bts get fully clothed while red velvet have to wear the shortest skirts. And bts were shivering so I can’t imagine how cold rv must have been
This is the thing i hate about kpop the MOST. Even been a in kpop for 3 years now still i see people pointing fingers at female idols for doing something but praising male idol for doing the same thing And also with tattoos When male idols show their tattoos people praise them for their beautiful body art and when females do the same they get hate for being disrespectful Like what ? Why ?
“Hey guy’s, you are now not allowed to date so the fans will like you more because they think they will be able to get you” Is this what they sound like?
I really want to thank KOOKIELIT for making such an INFORMATIVE video about something that all kpop fans notice but are mostly ignored. Like seriously, why is it always that female Kpop Idols find themselves in trouble for things that male kpop idols are at times even praised for. i wish all this can change in the coming future. 😔😔😔😔😔
Don’t forget about Hwasa (probably spelt that wrong) she gets a lot of hate for being “inappropriate “ Because she wears outfits people don’t like .She is also very brave because she knows how many creeps there are that pay attention to unpleasant parts of body’s . 👑She can wear what she wants it’s her body !
What your forgetting is that mistreatment of female idols come from their own group mates also... I've seen many instances where idols treated their group members just as bad as netizens and bosses. Let's not even talk about the disgusting comments some female idols get if their skin tone is darker than the others...Hyolyn is a prime example of mistreatment because of her skin tone.
Just being a female is not easy and a female idol hard pro max *FEMALE IDOLS NEED MORE RESPECT* you can't just do this they are fighting for there independence we just have to stay by there side
I huge fan of hyunA cuz that girls broke every damn rule in Kpop (etc dating, clothing, social media etc) and she doesn't gave a single Fs, I wish her all the best
It pains me to see the constant mistreatment and marginalization of female idols. I have so much respect for their hard work and especially towards IU, who never forgets the hardship of her youth and gives back to her community.
I understand that being an idol is really difficult but what female idols go through in general is so so wrong. i saw a comment saying ‘it’s okay for these girls to get hate’. why? reminds me of yeri getting hate for crying. that is just so sickening. being a female idol is so so difficult. I wish things change that man shin dong! his comment really bothers me. that is something that deserved backlash
i don't smile a lot and sometimes my mom complains that i should but i can't imagine half the population HATING on me for it and if they're dating how does it affect you?? if anything dating someone they genuinely makes them happier and maybe they're songs will really show that. ok and periods. like i can't stress this enough. they say the pain you get on your period is equivalent to that of heart attacks. so these idols are are being forced to perform while they're bleeding (which is really uncomfortable) and wearing such clothes and those stupid 'fans' are sitting at home eating three bags of potato chips hating on them? it's easy to say "no offence or anything.." and then complain but it's not easy to go out on stage and sing beautifully and dance so well while wearing clothes that're short asf while being on your period like plz stop i really love and respect all of them for being so strong.
I want one, atleast ONE female idol and a male one to open up and be arrogant this time about the double standards and inequality. There would be some backlash, but its better to pull it out from the roots. Agreed?
I think that the keyword should be respect. Respect people and their rights. There's no backlash I support because we are far from getting all the information we should have to be able to give our opinion. And one of the things that makes all this female backlash mistreatment worse is that a lot of it its done by other females.
Ladies, you gotta stand together and say enough. You are human beings not just a product are a marketing item. I am sure those millions aren’t easy to make but somewhere no is needed.
Or the thing that people expect girl groups to do difficult choreos like boy groups but wearing heels, perfect hair and not even a single drop of sweat. I understand sometimes boy group's choreos look harder but they can sweat and people would say they look manly and handsome, while if female idols sweat people would say they look gross. SO the people that says that boys choreos are harder trying to shame girl groups, just shut up, they are doing pretty good choreos with heels and looking perfect all the performance
Lets normalize idols performing with comfortable shoes!! my heart goes out to female idols who have to jump around in high heels, but I also gotta say that if you think jumping around with insoles, heavy or stiff shoes isn't hurting male idols, girl, i got news for you. Of course, I do think female idols have it worse in a lot of ways. Comfy shoes are just a hill I'm willing to die on.
"If someone says ur ugly they are just jealous that ur prettier than them and try and make u feel jealous of them when u shouldn't be.If someone says ur fat don't listen they are just mad they don't have muscles like u do" -- Me☺
I really like this because it puts a different perspective on it how males are praised and females are criticized and that they are forced to wear things they shouldn’t especially in the winter I wish I could have a mom talk with them and tell them they are perfect just how they are it like people don’t understand the female idols and expect everything from them which adds to their stress in their life during the cold I wish that if I were an idol give them my jacket because it just being a gentlemen it’s nice to know that there are strong women in kpop who know how to be the queens they are
I don't stan gg or any female soloist but the fact that they all go through this is just so hard honestly, These are the things we know but who knows what happens behind the closed doors, How much more they have to go through every single day. Beaing a female is hard itself and then female idols have to go through these mistreatment, It's honestly fcked up.
I respect every idol for sleeping only 5 hours a week on a promote week and they can smile to camera. Me: sleep like 10 hours and fall asleep in classroom
Please, if you hate on any female or male idols stop. It’s mentally and physically draining them..I thought it was bad but I didn’t know that it was THIS bad. Some faint, have anxiety attacks, etc. if you hate them then try being a idol. You’ll lose sleep, get millions of hate, and be expected to be perfect. It’s painful and almost traumatising as you don’t get enough food, etc. so please don’t just hate it’s just painful for them

No, they didn't because they did not care. Then why should be care about them if they are being heatless, and cruel. You "point" does not make sense.
@@mingichu agreed the beauty Standards in Korea 🇰🇷 are very unrealistic expectations especially on female Idols and male Idols as well. These kinds of Beauty Standards can cause these girls mental and emotional damage

also when sulli said that she wanna be a mother, everyone kept putting so much of hate on her and said that she is sexualizing that she decided to su!c!de but when rm said that he wanna be a father, he was praised by everyone...
How sad..she killed herself. Can't imagine the hell she's going through
When RM said he didnt wanted to be a father anymore, people praised him and said its his choice, but when BIBI, who isnt even a kpop idol, said "I cant imagine me beign mother" she got hate.

Feel bad for all of them especially Jennie, who got a lot of hate even when she's predebut just because she's not smiling 24/7. She's can't smile all the time but sadly most of hate she get because of that.
Yeah she worked so hard and get a lot of hate please stop hating her
So you're telling me that somebody was so mad at her for not smiling enough that they decided to take time off their day to write a hate comment or simply find another stupid reason to hate on her
But why? And what does that say about you?
@@cupcake-go6po idk why must Jennie. I remember in documentary, she said she's tired, and keep reminding us that "we all human". Female idols also deserve everything in our sociery no one support women i hope they treat female idol better

Also me after watching this video: nope nope nope, I'm good
Same 😭
Yeah its good to stay just the way you are and i feel really bad for female idols who passed away bcz of these rude comments i hope they treat them like humam
So true
I still want to be a kpop idol
But maybe I don't have to be a kpop idol if I want to sing and dance in a group with pretty cool outfit.
These female idols should be really praised for how hard they work. ✨
Sometimes they don't get their periods due to pressure and stress which is so unhealthy.
Some idols even have to perform while they r literally bleeding! U know that HURTS!
The society that we live in is crazy
@@pl_2 A lot of singers actually, for me, it didn’t really hurt, it went away
For some reason, some people are still stuck in 70's to 80's and think that boys deserve more than girls
as a young MALE stan. i hate the fact that a lot of men sexualize and harass female idols. its obviously offensive to thousands of people, including themselves and other male idols. like, seriously, show them comfort and support. they go through literal hell just to get treated like this?! i think its time we need to legitimately start speaking up about this gross problem and try to put a stop to this as* treatment towards female idols (sounds cringe i know, let me have my life) if you find something on the internet thats sexualizing female idols or male idols, please find a way to report it. please continue to show support to female idols if they dont have “porcelain white” skin, a thigh gap, a slim build or if they dont meet your expectations.
Yeah I'm 100% with you
Thank you so much for saying this.💗💗
Seriously what is it with female kpop idols being mistreated these amazing and talented woman work so hard to give us great music but in return they get horrible things they don't deserve this.
People say: Male Idols look hot when they sweat and Female Idols look ugly.
Jisoo's gorgeous, stunning sweat: thats a pity.
Like pants are awesome too
No actually it's kinda the other way around. They are used to make the legs look longer and therefore slimmer, not shorter.
@@anniliesi it is to excentuate their legs but also to make them look short.
Yes, women’s fashion is too strict and uncomfortable, they should wear longer dresses or pants more often to feel comfortable on stage.
@@Simon-cd1ui yeah longer dresses and pants are much better!
Seriously, female idols often get hate for showing too much skin, but look at them, do those brats think they want to?
The fact that as women we have to ask to be treated equally disgusts me
Thank you so much for this video!!!
I hope this changes and we never forget that female idols just deserves respect, love and recognition.
- Sana
I feel so bad for them😯😔😔
True
4:57 Irene has spoke out and confronted the stylist many times about the uncomfortable clothes but the stylist didn't listen and now she's fired (as she should be)
I complain about my period pains but I have the choice to stay an rest at home. Some of these idols have to *perform* and in short outfits might I add
I also really hate it when people told Rosé and Ryujin to button thier shirt let them wear what they want to wear
Fr. Atleast Ryujin just didn't care and respectfully DENIED as a Queen does! 😃😩🥱
#queenshit🥰🥱😌
Kpop female idols are so strong and women in general. 💕💕
This abuse needs to stop and people should realize female idols are humans
Edit: I almost forgot sullyeon’s case, she got criticized for her strong gaze on stage 💀
That's just so sad. These double standards need to STOP
This is truly sickening sad and an absolute nightmare; i feel so sad for all female idols that constantly endure the painful aftermath of these not only company ceos but male idols and fans too; i hope they get the support and respect they deserve
It's already hard to be a woman. And as a female idol …
Yes i hope i die
I literally just saw a video before this about how female idols have easy choreos rather than male idols. Like WTF they have equally endured pain by wearing heals and female groups have pretty hard choreos. I really hope they get more support and love from everyone. EQUALITY IS ALSO A MUST. They're all hardworking and gorg women
Society's misogyny is extremely reflected in the kpop industry
Krystal and irene are just *INTROVERTED* that's all
Be sure them both are so nice people
it disgusts me so much they absolutely need support , hugs :(((
Jennie:- breathing-
People:- omg! She is so lazy
Some men have bigger boots than some women and then they say that women should wear bras. 🙄
Shindong had the nerve to say that while he looks like ……… that
What really upsets me is that I have a few K-pop friends who prefer the boy groups over girl groups which is fine but then they judge the female idols in groups for how they look and their weight.
Not just because you re a female group stan, and yes because no good women deserve this.
Or maybe people have difference of opinion.
Fr tho, being a female K-pop idol is hard. They deserve respect just like male idols, they should be able to do what they want to do and stop getting malicious comments for stupid little things. Remember they want to live a life like everyone and they were born as humans not robots but the stigma is everywhere smh.
The way I would never be able to just sit there and take all the misogyny, especially on set. I would probably be sued as I have absolutely no filter.
The bts and red velvet thing made me SO MAD. Like why do bts get fully clothed while red velvet have to wear the shortest skirts. And bts were shivering so I can’t imagine how cold rv must have been
This is the thing i hate about kpop the MOST.
Even been a in kpop for 3 years now still i see people pointing fingers at female idols for doing something but praising male idol for doing the same thing
And also with tattoos
When male idols show their tattoos people praise them for their beautiful body art and when females do the same they get hate for being disrespectful
Like what ? Why ?
It breaks my heart how female idols have to be treated like this THEY DESERVE BETTER TREATMENT
The double standards are disgusting. I love a lot of groups and it really hurts seeing female idols being used as punching bags by the media.
This video needs to go viral...
to sum up this whole video : these idols deserve the world
“Hey guy’s, you are now not allowed to date so the fans will like you more because they think they will be able to get you”
Is this what they sound like?
i guess so😢😢
I personally wish for ppl to treat female idols or female in general better

Some of female idol haters comes from fangirls, because they think the idol will still their OPPA🥀 OBSESSED 💀

Don’t forget about Hwasa (probably spelt that wrong) she gets a lot of hate for being “inappropriate “
Because she wears outfits people don’t like .She is also very brave because she knows how many creeps there are that pay attention to unpleasant parts of body’s .
You are just speaking facts. I strongly agree that people need to appreciate female idols hardwork.
Just being a female is not easy and a female idol hard pro max
*FEMALE IDOLS NEED MORE RESPECT* you can't just do this they are fighting for there independence we just have to stay by there side
This makes me so sad and sympathetic for them. I wish we can change this 😔 its so sad to hear about all this.

It pains me to see the constant mistreatment and marginalization of female idols. I have so much respect for their hard work and especially towards IU, who never forgets the hardship of her youth and gives back to her community.
Kind of stupid how female idols are attacked for showing skin but then are forced to freeze their a$$ off, wearing revealing clothes when it’s cold
I understand that being an idol is really difficult but what female idols go through in general is so so wrong. i saw a comment saying ‘it’s okay for these girls to get hate’. why?

ok and periods. like i can't stress this enough. they say the pain you get on your period is equivalent to that of heart attacks. so these idols are are being forced to perform while they're bleeding (which is really uncomfortable) and wearing such clothes and those stupid 'fans' are sitting at home eating three bags of potato chips hating on them? it's easy to say "no offence or anything.." and then complain but it's not easy to go out on stage and sing beautifully and dance so well while wearing clothes that're short asf while being on your period like plz stop i really love and respect all of them for being so strong.
let’s respect women in general period.
I want one, atleast ONE female idol and a male one to open up and be arrogant this time about the double standards and inequality. There would be some backlash, but its better to pull it out from the roots.
Agreed?
This video needs to blow up! Im sharing rn
It’s makes it even more saddening is that all the hate comes from majority female stans woman are always stepped on especially by each other
keep in mind, female idols also have to deal with periods. that’s bad enough on it’s own, but imagine going through that with their kind of schedule…
I think many of the disadvantages for female kpop idols mentioned in this video are problems in Korea itself and not restricted to Kpop.
PREACH QUEEN 👑!! Just finished watching vid and I absolutely loved it! GIRLS SUPPORTING GIRLS!!

It's not only the industry is toxic but the whole society is
Heartbreaking.
