Finally advise worth listening too, at 46 I did P90x3 6 times per week intense 30 minutes training and i did the whole 3 months, after that i was drenched no energy..... NO more. All those go go go push push push your knees will suffer and more. Walking must be the most under rated exercise ever its so easy to do, and all you need to get your heart rate up.

Yes sir, totally agree! I'm 53 so i always start my workouts with a 10 min walk to get my body warmed up. Then I'll do some bands to warm up the muscles I'm working, do my workout and after that, I will walk again for 20 minutes on treadmill at a 12 incline at 3mph. Great quick little video. First timer here on your channel and like what I see so got yourself a new follower!!

I stopped doing cardio years ago, I walk anything from 4000 - 20,000 steps a day depending on the type of day I have had, I do some exercise bike work when I feel like it but it’s all steady state.
Before my workout I walk home from work this gets around 1200 steps (approx 10mins) that gets me warmed up, sometimes after my workout I would do another 10min walking just to cool down if I’m not to tired from the workout.

Hi Jay, I stopped doing cardio, other than walking, a couple of months back. Last December I ran a half marathon and the craving for food was terrible for the next week. I think my body wanted to replenish all the lost sugars. So now I just lift weights and stay on my feet and active and feeling much better for it. Keep up the great content !

We are basically cavemen living in concrete jungles.
Our bodies are exactly the same design as the nones 100s of years ago except it's our lives that have changed by becoming more sedentary.
Great channel Sir, with very easy lesson avoiding all those gym jargons (scientific bro stuff)

Great video. I have a question: 59 yr old, walk every morning 20-45 min, and lift in evening. I am planning on switching from full body 3x week to upper/lower split 4 x week i.e. Mon,Tues, Wed off, Thurs, Fri, Sat-Sun off. I'd like to add about 15 min boxing bag work on leg day after workout. Will that use the wrong kind of energy i.e glycogen? Also, is it okay to mix upper cardio (punching) with lower strength training?

I depending on your goals but if muscle gains is your primary gain I would not mix any type of cardio with strength training. Any cardio you do for the goal of gaining muscle should be done after your strength training but even then I would limit cardio on strength training days. The key is to figure out are you bulking, maintaining or shredding down, each requires a different approach! Thank you for watching my channel

So by cardio, do you mean lifting for more than 10 reps??? 🙂
