So glad you are back and working on Project Rowdy. I’ve enjoyed following the progress of the CJ. Your videos are informative and well produced. And in my opinion it’s always great to get your sons involved. I really enjoy seeing this be a father/sons project at times. Good luck on further progress and I’ll be watching!
Many thanks for the response. I love when the boys can spend some time with me, but as they grow older, they become very busy with their lives. Trying to prep for the next video. Thanks for following along! Mike
Mike, great to see you back at the jeep project. Can’t wait to see it finished and am sure you’ll be proud once completed. Have a great day and keep them coming.
hi Mike good to see you back I'm Sam from the UK bought 1979 cj7 if you remember after your first episode ha still painting parts and getting frame and engine rolling and running. building a cab pick up body Anyway glad you haven't given up as still need your vids as you explain so well, got them playing on a loop in the workshop , I am learning , trail and error mainly but enjoying it still ha . slowly getting there , you do realise it's going to be your grandchildren that help you finish this project ha looking forward to the next vid thanks Sam
Thank you Sam. I never imagined that this would take so long. I am still enjoying it and Looking forward to training my grandchildren. Haha Cheers to you my friend... Mike
Great to see you back! I found you on you AMC 20 rebuild! I'm looking for a conversion kit for my 1969 Javelin but not sure what to get. Great vids thank you !!! :D
Thank you! This was not much of an update, but all a part of the work that has to be done to get to the next step. Have fun with that Javelin Build. Mike
Ultimately, I believe the Eastwood Seam Sealer will work great. Applying the stuff is just a little awkward. I say to myself, this time I going to take my time and make it look good. It will quickly turn you into a 3rd grade student. The Tape that I used really helped. It could be that the small Oil Brushes are the wrong choice. I just have a box of them and they appeared to be a good fit. I have used the Eastwood Sealer on 3-4 occasions and it is nice to be able to close the lid to save the remainder. I did really like using the Caulk Tube Style Sealer. It applied quickly and with the swipe of a wet finger or brush, you can control where it goes. The issue is once you open the tube you are committed to using it all. I think both options have merit. Hope the best with your project!! Mike
Over the past 5 years "Red" has been on my mind. I still believe that is what I'm going with. The Raptor Liner that will be going on next will be the Tintable version and I will be adding a Grey pigment.
This is going to be the nicest CJ7 in existence!
At some point last years, I realized that I will be touching about every Bolt and surface on this thing. Scary! Thank you! Mike

In the process of doing this with my YJ. Were you happy with the eastwood seam sealer and end result after some time?
