This was AWESOME to watch. I love how honest and totally yourself you are. I feel totally in alignment with your exploration of what it means to be a woman. A couple years ago I had a revelation that there was room enough for everyone to be awesome. I had this idea that there was only space for a certain amount of people to succeed and even less space for women. I thought I would have to fight to be accepted and seen. But actually that is such BS. There is no finite pie I need to scramble to get a slice of. Really we all benefit when other women and other people in general flourish around us. I am stoked to have found you! Thanks for being here.

Oh wowwww thank you so much!! It means a lot to me that you took the time to watch and share your thoughts, everything you've said is SO TRUE it's wild! I wish we didn't live in such a hyper-competitive culture that fosters jealousy and individualism, but it's amazing that so many people, especially women, are realizing it doesn't have to be this way.

It doesn’t! Imagine the beautiful world we could create if we encouraged beauty and creativity all around us! I wonder what would be possible in a world like that. ☺️ Keep up the great work my friend. Maybe we can live in that world.

I am old school. My Ojibwa grandmother wanted me and my sister to know freedom. I taught my grandchildren, the same. Be, who you need to be. Thank you Gwendelyne for sharing your story.

Ahhhh I feel that so much! I know what you mean about feeling masculine feeling "weird". Sometimes I feel like it's somehow wrong or I'm strange or defective, but I think in reality everyone just has their own internal version of balance playing out in its own very natural way, and it's a shame to let external ideologies or expectations warp our perceptions of ourselves and other women 🥺

Thank you for putting words to my experience growing up in Pakistan in the 90s, its so beautiful how universal the human experience is. Every single word of this resonated with me growing up with mostly male friends and feeling chuffed being told you're not like other girls and seeing other girls as a scary tribe of which the membership was denied to me. But the tribe doesn't exist and if it is they are more nurturing than most male company I find in my 30s at least 😂 thanks for making this video!❤

I would say only onething, Celebrate what you are. We should work on ourselves to become better human being which is more important than impressing the people because people will never satisfied. We should accept eachother like we are. I accept you like you are.

wow you are very interesting. i love the hawk (and the hawk/drone/GoPro conundrum). you reminded me of my own encounters with Helen MacDonald and an unexpected juvenile Red Tail visitor. and i really appreciate your sharing your thoughts on femininity and masculinity, and the honest personal comments that encourages from your followers. there is so much there that needs exploring and exposing. you seem set on doing that and i look forward to it. with notions of gender and sexuality so much in flux in our culture now, it is an especially good time for sorting out some of that particular messiness. onward!

I'm so sorry you have suffered so much. And I wouldn't call you "masculine" at all. True feminity calls for much strength! And using a chainsaw is not masculine! 🙂
You are young, beautiful and strong. Women are the true strength in the family. Man is physically stronger by design, but it's the woman who keeps the family together. You make a difference...thank you! ❤

wow thank you for this! :) If you met me prior to now you'd probably call me masculine 😅 but I'm learning part of this is that that's okay. Balance within either 'pole', and 'doing you' is more important than what we think we should be :)

@@gwendelyne or what others think we should be. You look at the frontier women of the past. They were strong, and tough, but remained feminine in spite of the hardships. You too are strong and tough, but are very much a woman. I'm glad I stumbled upon this post. You gave me lots to think about too. 🙂🍀🌹🍀🙂

Your vulnerability and openness are beautiful and inspiring. I too would love to see feminine energy/spirit and the female body honoured and respected as equally as that of masculine. I relate to your experiences of not feeling safe and being abused for having a female body. I love that you are speaking up about the harmful societal messaging that exists about what it is to be a girl/woman and how this affects girls growing up. I also love what you said about finding what feels comfortable in your body and honouring every woman’s unique expression of self. And the part where you are dancing in front of the mirror :) You are very beautiful, both inside and out.
