  • Life is crazy. I'm exhausted, I'm stressed, but I'm also... happy? At the same time? Why does that feel weird?
I figured I'd share some of what I've been experiencing lately in this strange paradoxical state, because this will likely be my last upload for a while.
There are a few editing mistakes with this video, that I'm finding I just don't have the energy to correct at this moment in time. And you know what, I'm learning how to be okay with that for now; to give myself the space to do this just for fun, and to not sweat the small stuff. Thank you for letting me be a human ❤
And, of course, THANK YOU for being here wow what the heck!!
I never expected this little experiment to actually grow to the point it has, so I'm feeling indescribably grateful and in awe of all of you.
I've really loved taking in all the pieces of you that you've chosen to share with me (and others) over this past year. Y'all are impressive.
I hope you're well, and if not, I trust you will figure it out in time.
    🌌✨🌿❤
(p.s.: don't forget to share this with your grandma!!)

You probably won't read this but - I recently found you because of your cover of the song Ozoliņi, which was beautiful btw. You remind me so much of my niece. I'm in your general part of the world - Michigan to be exact. I'm sorry to hear that you are stepping back but I fully understand. I'm recently retired from a stressful occupation and it's good to concentrate on what you need to move forward. I will enjoy going through your videos. I found the one you made about drinking birch water very interesting. What an interesting life you live. I have spent so much of my life shut up behind sterile office walls. Still, I retreat to Allegan Forest and the lake shore whenever possible to recharge my batteries, so to speak. As I tell young people that come into my life - Live your life and be happy. Life is short and, if you don't live your life, then what is the point? Thank you for your videos and for adding a little joy to my life.

I just was so emotionally moved that I had tears in my eyes. I wish to find it in myself, happiness.
Thank you for the words. I was wondering where did you disappeared .
I was resonating with what you said that you feel uncomfortable to be happy at work, so I am now searching for job and in the field I have studied I don't find it interesting, and I actually thinking to work as a sheep shepherd which really is not connected to academia at all but might just make me happy to go to work. And I really hope to find happiness as now I am really depressed with my life as graduated and have no idea of what to do.
And I am also thinking to learn herbalism to archive this dream of mine to do something that is interesting and not only for my parents to accept me as a successful child that went to university..
Thank you so much !!! Gwen.
The reason I watched your videos is because you remind me myself and what I could be if I follow my heart.
And you show such real content that is from your heart and it is so interesting and beautiful.

Gwen, you asked why people are watching your videos, so I’d thought I’d share my reason 🙂. Basically, you remind me of a younger version of me. For a long time I was very hard on myself for not fitting in to “social norms” (I don’t love that phrase but I’m going to use it anyway 😉). I struggled with what was expected of me and who I really was. So.. for me, it’s really amazing when I come across someone like you who (I think) is probably like minded in countless ways. I get you!!
I loved your words about being honest with yourself in this video. Life is all about perspective and balance, right?
Best of luck with your new business, and don’t forget to enjoy the process 💕.

Sadly, these are stressful times. Climate change and corporate greed certainly don’t help. It’s good that you realize your need to slow down and concentrate on the things that bring you joy and peace. Fortunately your environment offers exciting ways to escape the stress. You’re young, but wise. So many people live their entire life stressed because they’re afraid to experiment in real change. Keep doing the things that you enjoy.🙏🏼

you always make such perfect sense. starting a new educational program, a new business and a new job all at once is asking a lot of yourself. but the energy and focus those efforts require and indicate you are more than eager to offer, seem to say pretty clearly that building a healthy - profitable? - TH-cam channel is not a priority...or even, perhaps, a necessity. your videos have always been, for me, more like a personal journal that you leave open for us to read. i have appreciated deeply the things you have faced and journaled about and shared - sorting out your own sense of being woman/female/feminine, your relationship with your beautiful hawk, your connection to your mother and what she means to you, your struggle with facing down societal expectations and finding comfort in your own path. your honest self-reflection is inspiring because it demonstrates so clearly what our shared humanity and vulnerability can be. i know that sounds like a lot but it's actually just you being you and letting us in...something we all struggle with.
there are two images i will hold from all this: you on the barn floor delightfully buried in all the new little lambs, and you sitting in the sun against a tree with your gorgeous raptor on your hand eating the prize you worked together to catch. sensitivity, strength, self-awareness, comfort.
be well and keep growing. here for whenever you open up your journal next, danny

You know when you disappeared for a while and maybe you will again have been the most beautiful part of it all to me 😉 because it really doesn't need to be a full time regular thing to do - and you probably showed other youtubers that it's OK to do that. And it's actually so needed more often that we think. Leaving some memories for ourselves - not filming it constantly as it may became exhausting - taking us away from what we really want to do in that day. We should never feel obligeted we should do it. So thank for this video - as it's so rare to hear what you actually said to those thousands of people. It's a great reminder to all filmmakers/youtubers too.

I admire how incredibly self-aware you are, all of the work you've done on yourself, and especially your ability to open yourself up. I'm listening to this video as I type, and you just said how you think your goal in making videos was "...trying to relate to other people, and trying to help other people feel a little less alone." And I promise that you've been successful in this. I've only watched a few of your videos, and I'm feeling nervous, anxious, and even outright *frightened*. This is actually a compliment, because what's making me feel this way is how clearly and articulately you've described your own feelings and struggles, and how they've tinted/colored your perception of yourself, of the world, and your place in it. (And that you *do* have a place.)
I'm about to cry because I feel so certain that there's nowhere for me. I'm not in danger--it'll pass--But I think that what you've done--openly discussed your experiences with a struggle that so many people contend with, but are unable to talk about, and often can't even clearly discern within themselves--has been truly valuable and important. Even if no one had left comments, I'd still be certain that your videos have been a great help to people.
I'm also proud of you [can I *be* "proud" of you?] or I at least admire and respect you because you've made such a great deal of progress while you're still in your 20s. That's an exceptional achievement. I'm in my 50s, and I've just realized within the past few years that, in many ways, I'm still a child. Actually, what I told my friend was that "I'd finally come to realize that I'm controlled by a frightened child." She replied, "We *all* are controlled by a frightened Inner Child." I think I was too embarrassed to point out that I'd said--and meant--*child*, not "inner child."
Okay, that's more than enough from me, I think. My intention was to assure you that your videos are valuable, important, and well worth the effort, not only for yourself, but for lots of other people, many who have no access to any comparable resource. I wish you the best of everything, and when things get rough--and they will--that you'll have developed enough of a "practice" tha you're able to kinda fall back and get yourself together with a minimum of struggle and pain.
    Thank you.

Holy moly 😭 thank you for taking the time to express yourself this way - the timing of this is eerie. Exactly what I needed to hear... sat down this weekend to try and make another video after all this time away and ended on "what's the point?". Hearing other people's perspective is so refreshing and necessary. I hope you're doing well 🌿

    • @caseykane3845
      @caseykane3845 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@gwendelyne Oh my--thank you!
Since I posted the above, I've been thinking that I should have mentioned something else--actually, I think echoed something that you either said or implied in one of your videos: Please take care to be the person you are *now*. Be careful not to trap yourself into "playing the role" of working along the same path as before. (*This* is very close to what you talked about.)
As you change, your videos--if you choose to make them--should change with you. People who are suffering from depression or other mental illness *need* to hear from other people who've had the same, or similar, experiences. I believe this is essential.
The only time I ever felt part of "a group of my peers" was about 12 years ago when I spent some time in a mental hospital receiving ECT. (My choice, much to my psychiatrist's relief [so she didn't need to argue with me]). I didn't get to know all of the patients, of course, but I did meet several beautiful people--beautiful *souls*, I should say--who were fearlessly kind, and would invite me to join them if I was sitting by myself, and so on.
We were all in there for different reasons, and there's really no way to measure one person's inner pain against another's, but for a moment I had a kind of mini-mystical glimpse of all of the patients (and me) being empty bodies, and each, one by one, being filled with some sort of life-giving soul liquid... *from the same tap*. I felt as if each of us had experienced something and *knew* something that many other people never experience and don't/can't understand.
I'm sure you've spoken with people who've tried their best to empathize with you, but you could sense that they didn't quite "get it." And you've spoken with people who've been through similar experiences and you felt yourself kind of light up inside because you could feel that this person truly understood on a deep level.
YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO BE ANYONE'S SAVIOR. And you need to put your own best interests ahead of everything. I'm just saying that you have the necessary experience (in my opinion), and the talent and ability to reach and provide some hope and relief to many people who are in pain.
I'm sorry if that reads like, "You can help people if you feel like it, or just say 'to hell with 'em." I honestly don't mean it that way. You truly do need to make yourself your primary concern. And, really, you've demonstrated that you're talented, intelligent, and articulate enough that--in addition to photography--there are many other avenues available to you in which you'd excel.
Now, if you'll just send me your bank account and credit card information and passwords... [Ha ha ha. I'm real funny.]
I'll close with a line from a poem that Patti Smith recites in the middle of an unfortunately titled song on her album, "Easter": "Those who have suffered understand suffering and thereby extend their hand."
Okay: Take good care, avoid becoming a martyr (a personal difficulty of mine), give as much love as you're able, and BE GREAT. (Be as great as I, an anonymous nobody, knows you can be.)
I wish you all the love I can muster[d].

And I must say that people want to see your videos. You are verbal in a way others are not and you put your finger on what people think and feel but have not the ability to express. And every time you speak I think that this is what I would say if I was that verbal. I am absolutely sure your channel will grow a lot. Like A LOT! But it takes some years before internet gets it. Algorithms and all that. You have massive potential! But I really understand exactly what you mean with always bringing the camera around. I feel that a lot. So I only do videos when I feel like it.
