The ZD Racing DBX07 is a 1/7 Scale, 4WD, 6s, Desert racer style buggy where as the Losi Lasernut is a 1/10 scale, 4WD, 4s, rock racer style buggy. They look very similar on the outside, but on the inside are completely different beasts.. Considering how many times you showed the dbx07 crashing. It’s seems really durable, and you should check your screws. The big names give a false sense of security. There’s always a few screws loose.😂😂😂😂👍🏾 Great Review
Absolutely. Noticed that quickly myself on the Arrma RTR EXB. Gotta tighten them up for sure.
Dumbo gyro or get the roller option. Fill it with HW, Spek,or Castle system & you got a Tank

Very cool comparison I would personally go for the dbx7 the radio gear can easily be upgraded and most of us already have some decent radio gear

Losi is my all time favorite RC but this ZD is pretty dang cool especially with the price difference I'd have to go with the ZD With a few upgrades it would be a really good RC in my opinion ✌️
I'm a fan of ZD racing stuff.....but what do you mean especially with the price difference? The ZD is over 200 MORE than the losi - with zero aftermarket support......

Ive had a lasernut, not a fan. Looking at the DBx07 decent value but very similar to my yeti XL.

Watched another ZD racing on another channel talk about the springs being over sprung which is why it topples over. They changed the spring rate using Losi SCTE springs. They sell them in various rates. Might try it.

Lasernut - better handling pretty much in all aspects. Weak/flexible dogbones.
DBX07 - Beast! More durable...which is a surprise honestly. ZD isn't known to be super basher. Cheap, yes. Durable? Eh, not really.
I actually cringed at some of the crashes the DBX07 took. I was sure the A arms would have snapped, hinge pins bent, busted bumpers, bent chassis, cracked body, etc
I have the BX-8E and had to take some steps to bulletproof it. The A arms crack constantly and the hinge pins are noodles. But they're cheap and I have a healthy supply of spares. It looks like ZD must have changed their plastics and metals for sure which is awesome.
Also I could have guessed those hub screws would have fallen out. They are a constant issue with my bx-8e and I check them judiciously. I hope the metals in that area are improved as well (I don't think they're cast metal) but when those screws loosen and it creates play, the screw holes in the hubs begin to ovalize which has no solution beyond buying new ones. Basically make sure they stay tight! It's easy enough to keep replacing screws but it's obviously a larger and more costly problem if you have to replace the hubs.
Cheers Andrew! Yes, we are both very suprised at the durability of the dbx07 and the ex07. Our dbx10 wasnt nearly as tough as these two!

ZD definitely made some manufacturing changes for the ex07 and DBX07. It's pretty noticeable. You guys don't hold back on the bashing for sure! Dunno if it's on purpose or Joe's bad driving 😉🤗 but it beings confidence that in real world situations the cars will perform. ZD TOUGH! 😆

@4:45 losing that screw is normal in ZD Racing 1/8 scale RCs. It's a shame that it is still the same problem with the 1/7 ones.
It's the way it is designed. The steering hub is not that good. And the screw touches the sides of that hole and as you steer, it gets "unscrewed". They should have redesigned the steering mechanism like they should have put a small bearing over the screw there.
I have two lasernuts,i just love them,allthough they are not durable at all...both of them got wrecked on the driveshafts,servosaver and back diffs.i upgraded them with gpm upgrades,and skf bearings,now they hold better...and I'm not a jumper,mostly drive in the forest...i ordered a dbx07 aswell,can't wait to have him.But I will be taking him apart first,to check all screws,bolts and change the diff and suspension oils and directly put in better bearings,because zd bearings are really bad.Here in the Netherlands we have skf bearings,they are expensive,but they really are the best !..Thanks for sharing your tests,love them ! Unlucky with some of the stuff on your lasernut! Our main issue has just been the driveshafts bending which the vitivon upgrade will sort out! Let us know what you think of the DBX07 when you get to take it out! Cheers and Glod Bless!

My next RC was going to be a Mojave EXB roller build, but this DBX-07 seems pretty killer and unique. I got a DB Pro, which rocks, but I really wanted the 1/10 Losi Rock Rey. DBX-07 gives me a little bit of a Super Rock Rey vibe without a SRR price. Thinking MAX6, FlySky & a HBL550 steering servo. Does it look like there's room for a Max6 in the DBX-07?
Yes, a max6 fits perfectly as we put a max6 in the EX07 and has same space there ;)

How's the spare parts supply line for the zd racing?
Most likly going to have to order online. If you ever need a part you cant find online, contact makerfire directly with the part number and they will help sort you out! 🍻
No loctite or bad china loctite copy (ultra strong) is a tradition in ZD factory, when they do not make a part error in the assembly. But for seeing that you must have the luck to receive the car without damages out of the box. Have a visit on FB owners group before buying.
Losi DB pro is gonna be here in 2 days! seems like I got the last black one in North America, I swear, you can’t find them ANYWHERE as of today 🤣! So hyped to run it on the track, thanks for all the great content guiding my purchase guys 😁
You should turn up the dbpro’s punch setting and see if it’ll backflip 🤔

@@ibringdasmoke IM SO READY! I’m gonna have to play around with the punch setting either way. Heard it has kinda has slow acceleration outta the box and since I’ll be using it on dirt/clay tracks, acceleration without spinning out is key

I would love to see the dbx 7 compared to the arrma fireteam...Do it!
I'd say the Fireteam would beat it for durability having one myself, I had a head on with a Traxxas Emaxx @ around 70kph and it smashed the Emaxx to pieces literally. I suffered a bent shock and tore the shock sleeve.
I have a few ZD buggies and the screws jussss....always not quite there............
The only issue I have with ZD would be parts availability. That issue worries me.
You know what thank you for that that's something that I didn't think about. I doubt my local hobby shop has any spare parts.
@@markstockie4140 You're welcome. I ended up getting a King Motor Challenger. It's a Losi SBR clone. Cheaper than Losi, but Losi parts work on it. No parts issues, and I got a value large scale RC. Take care.

I still stick by my Losi Laser Nut. It's flawed, and they break easily. But if you're careful, and do a few upgrades you can get quite a bit out of these. I bought two originally, now one runs, and the one is spare parts. I wish I knew more about RC repair, I bought a bunch of parts to fix broken one but I don't really have the skills to tear it apart. I would hate to screw it up. We have one RC shop about 60 miles away, but they don't really know anything. Oh well, I don't want to buy another expensive RC knowing how easily they break. And what a pain in the ass it is to get parts these days, and then I can't repair it. 🤨
i just bought my first RC car... the Lasernut. which parts would you say are most prone to breaking?
@@jstriker90 Front bumper, as well as A arms for front suspension. Also shock pieces and parts. Anything in front of vehicle. As well as rear front and center differentials. Try your best not to hit anything.
@@jstriker90 Bearings, Dogbones and definitely change the hubs out to Arrma Kraton or Outcast. A thicker chassis plate also. Put some Proline Rims/Tires on her and you have yourself a weapon man. With a few simple mods The Lasernut kicks ass. Have fun and remember its a race car not a Trapeze Artist. ;-)

I've just come in from trying to have a bit of a bash after fitting a new diff in the Senton.
It's 4 degrees C, windy as heck & it's absolutely CHUCKING IT DOWN here in the Scottish Highlands... I lasted almost 10 minutes before admitting defeat to Mother Nature, now I'm soaked to the bone & freezing because I didn't bother to build & light the fire before I went out.!
So yeah... Stick a bit of that nice weather in a box & post it my way please..

Sooooo these are to entirely different scales but yet there the same size....... So my question is which one is the liar?
All licenced Scale RC's are true to scale. In this case the Lossi is true to scale @1/10 - The DBX is pretty well spot on for a 1/7 fictitious desert racer. They are not the same size at all mate, Have another look maybe. DBX is much larger and its defo heavier.
Check out the real Lasernut in action, Its insane man. Overall though the DBX is a far better build. People will say they are shit but these are race cars not skatepark 30ft jump acrobats. Both are great but for another $400 You can own a Arrma Fireteam in which is by far the best Desert Racer I own imo. The DBX is nearly as quick so at the price point its a great RACER. Have fun!

Why is no one at tht bmx track. My bmx track always has tons of people even when its dark..... so lucky I reverse last time it was pitch dark and I got yelled at by someone not even biking....
We only go to bmx tracks or skateparks when the kids are all at school! 😅
