The mechanical brake is only really worthwhile if you can mix its servo into the standard throttle braking. Having it on an on/off separate switch is pretty much useless for normal driving.

Definitely not cheap and competes with the Arrma 6s range or Traxxas Maxx/Hoss in New Zealand when including shipping. I know the ZD DBX07 is bigger but it's 6s and I'd personally take a 6s Kraton or for a little more a 6s EXB RTR.

The emergency brake is important because if your pinion gear comes loose you will be unable to stop the buggy. Not a big deal with small 1/10 scale, but a heavy 6s powered 7th scale needs an emergency brake.
From all the channels I'm subscribed to. You two are the only ones that showcased thus vehicle.

I really think they are! Their EX07 was a blast (minus the esc & servo) this one has a much better servo, have to see how the esc hold ups but other than that its a BEAST! 🦍

Good advice on the shocks Joe. They did look a bit soft and springy. Will do the same if I get one.
To get better handling I suggest replacing the spare tire with a wing maybe a Kraton wing or Tenacity wing

I ordered the roller of your link a day or so after you posted this, but I’m in the USA and it’s shipped ocean freight so I’m still waiting, but so excited! Was just watching the review again. I know it’s not the highest quality RC, but it’s gorgeous and a nice add to my collection. I’m really into desert buggy, rock racer type RC’s lately, this will slot nicely into my collection of desert / U4 type cars, I already have a dbx10, losi tenacity db pro, losi super rock Rey, and losi dbxl 2…
I know the shock internals are a little wonky, for anyone interested Tekno shock internals work great, there’s a video on it already if you search dbx07 shock rebuild, that is excellent.
Anyone found any additional mods or upgrades that are good for the buggy?

I got a ZD RC and I was not expecting a whole lot out of it,but I was very wrong.Its fast as heck and it takes a beating.I am all about my Arrma trucks but now a fan of ZD.
Wow. Been waiting for this review. Probably the most I've been looking forward to a review of any car. Loving the look and "beastiness" of this buggy!!
My only concern is how it nose dives off jumps. Wondering if more shock tuning can solve for some of that but it definitely thinks it's a lawn dart 😁😒🙄
Hoping other users may figure out a way to remedy that. Also the fact that it seems hard to control at high speed is concerning as well.
Absolutely will tune in for the comparison btw the Lasernut and DBX07. My bet is on the DBX07 as far as sheer fun and brute strength goes. More durable as well. Its well known the Lasernut driveshafts are made from butter. Or at best wet noodles 😂 The lasernut was my 1st preference for a desert buggy until I saw how weak the drivetrain was. In any case I would guess the Lasernut handles better though especially around a track and at speed.
Yeah me too been waiting for a review on this as well it definitely needs some suspension tuning or some counter weight to correct that nose dive …but already seems like a better option than the lasernut 😎😎
Great Video!!, jeez that car can take a beating especially with Joe behind the controls (hehe), Amber's driving skills were so good at the track while i think Joe just wanted to do huge jumps instead of staying on the track though 🤣

I think he means the pirate MT which I heard alot of bad about but it's literally been the only zd truck I've heard people having problems with. I just think that one was a real dud. Beauty might have to get one , arms caster blocks etc look really familiar……. Another cast off of a team associated sc8, rc8.2 and DB8 , all of which are notably durable.

If you don't need the Raw speed, or are willing to upgrade electronics for similar speed, I'd say the redcat shredder (v2) is a better buy. They seem to have fixed the early problems with the mid gearbox stripping the spur, which was the only real issue it had.
hey just a FYI. if you turn your brakes down it wont nose dive as much in the air. great video guys keep it up

really great looking and super fast RC car, but had 3 tires come off within a few minutes...hope after re-gluing them they stay on. At least the speed seems pretty much to what they state. I also have the dbx-10 which maxes out at 35km/hr instead of the stated 80km/hr!

I think you guys should do a Re-review on the ZD racing DBX-10 I don't think it was really a fair review bashing it in rock filled field... it would really be nice to see you review it at your current location more realistic like the outdoor RC track grassy field and your dirt jumping slope doubles.. 👍 love watching you guys, been a faithful watcher since the beginning ❤...

Mine dumped the rear drive shaft in under half hour since new..
Edit: just had a dodge wheel bearing replaced both bearings on that side and has run like a dream ever since👍
That thing took a heck of alot of punishment and still carried thru!!! Kinda want one =)
Hello!I bought DBX-07 and after i put the tires i saw that the rear tires are collapsed inside.Is this a factory or is there a way for settings?2 question-When I move the front tires in the air on left and right they are perfect but when i move the tires on the ground the control of the tires on left and the right is harder.Please give me advice.

Looks dope, the only thing I don’t like is that it looks nose heavy! Every time it jumps you can see the nose dive down like you said. Aww man I just looked at the price!!! No thanks will get a Traxxas for that! 😆

i just baught one last saturday, it cost around 450 euros (empty no electronics) i baught a 150 amp esc (i will upgrade soon) a 2000 kv motor, 2 servos, 2 batteries 3s 5200 mah and a transmitter those parts costs another 390 euros. over all it costs 840 euros. its not the cheapest but its worth the money. today was my first try... lovely :D

Just received the dbx 07. When I powered it up I testes light and steering I was dialing in the steering when the car started forward without touching the throttle. It would not stop even as I turned off the controller. Had to open the hood and turn the switch off before it stopped. Very scary. Do u have any idea what went wrong? Thank you

It has a DumboRC receiver, it may have gyro already, check the receiver and see what model you have.
