- Saw this C6 Corvette with an ECS 1500 Supercharger lining up with a bunch of well matched cars, and a truck, including a Dodge Charger Hellcat, C7 Corvette and C7 ZR1, Turbo Ford LTD, 03 Cobra and truck at Street Car takeover Bristol and Atlanta.
Some of the best side by side street car drag racing I've seen!
What a sweet pass for both the Vette and the Hellcat Charger, it's a great race when only a couple of tenths of a second is all that separates them.

@@DragRacingandCarStuff I don’t know all the particulars but the engine has been out and built. It has suspension work also. Car has been mid 9’s but he runs in 10.00 class everywhere.Sipple Speed and performance built engine and transmission.

The guy in the stands looking at his cell phone was watching a Drag Racing and Car Stuff video. In the mean time a “live” drag race was happening right in front of him. He says to himself, “man these videos are cool, wish I had been there.” “Hey, what just happened?!”
You always know when a truck pulls to the line its gonna be crazy.
That vette was consistent and bad ass....where you able to get information on the mods / setup
Not too much, besides he said it has a 416 engine. Vengeance Racing sometimes posts about it on social media.
LSA based 416 by LME, RPM 4L60E, ECS Novi 1500, built by Vengeance Racing. 840rwhp but dialed way back for the 10.00 index

This is pretty much a twin to my car, ecs1500 traps about the same I went a 9.70@140 same color same tire ect... I'm taking the 1500 off and going with a bigger blower now
Be careful doing that, what do you have your piston rings gapped at? The more boost pressure you run the more gapping has to be done, not including checking the compression just to be sure. But i wish you luck bud, because thats an awesome car! I bet you win if everything goes right! 😉
@@johnanderson5500 I definitely have them gapped for all the boost, I always have a forged bottom end
Nice. The C6 is backed down over 0.5 seconds to run 10.00. It has gone 9.42 @146 on only 10#s of boost
Is the c6 grand sport forged from factory ? Or are you guys talking about a Normal c6
@@just_a5.7 grand sport has the exact same engine as the 2008 and up c6 base it has other upgrades like suspension, brakes, appearance package, etc that make it different from the base but the engine is still the regular ls3. Dry sump if you get the grand sport manual coupe I believe

I wouldn't be talking that trash being it was so close, a gust of wind or a steering correction and the Hellcat wins. Runs like that are great for our sport.
It’s not like he won by 1 or 2 seconds. It was .02
Not to mention this is all bracket racing. They dialed in the time and try to get as close as possible, hence why you see the Vette always braking before crossing the line. Full out who knows what the cars will run.
