Damn...first person ever that I heard complain about the texture of the grip on the new M&P 2.0. I guess you could just hit it with some sand paper to tame it down, so no biggie. However for the rest of us the increased aggressiveness is a plus, and saves us bucks on having to get it stippled or buying talon grips.
I actually think they did a great job with the new texture.

The .40 isn't a bad round by any means. Especially out of a full sized pistol. It's just more expensive to shoot than 9mm, but I'm okay with that. The M&P is a pretty damn good gun, regardless of the caliber. I wanted one as my first pistol, and I could've bought one from a coworker who was selling his for $300 after firing only one box of ammo through it. The thing was brand new. But I thought about it too long, and someone else was smart enough to snag up a good deal when they saw it.

    • @hartsickdisciple

I have pistols chambered in 9mm and .40 S&W. Right now .40 is easier to find, and cheaper to buy than 9mm. Everybody is buying up the 9mm, and not so much the .40. This is a reason why it's a good idea to have pistols chambered in several different calibers.

The 2.0's are solid. I like the .40. The grip can be mitigated by a talon grip if you do not like the factory style. IMO add an Apex trigger to these (which I do) and the 2.0 is one of the top pistols offered by any maufacture.

If the texture balls you on the M&P 40 you could get light sandpaper take the slide off and gently just rub it down a little bit you'll get the rough edge off on it a lot of police officers do this only the ones that don't like the heavy texture on it I personally like it I shot this gun at a shooting range it does not slip out of your hand the Glock new generation four and five slip out of your hand it's not enough texture on it that's why most people put rubber grip on it everything with a Glock is extra money just ridiculous police departments are starting to get rid of them they just have too many problems with them great video 🇺🇸💯👍

Yeah, wrong calibre for little girls.
Get some Underwood 40sw 135grn. You will get 357mag. Power with 9mm. muzzle flip. This ammo is $19.00 for a box of 20. Stay away from the middle weight (150,155,and 165 grain) loads; this is where the "snappy" reputation comes from. I know....weird that 135 or 180,200 grain are the sweet spot for this chambering. Get yourself some Talon rubber grip overlays. Sorry girls, 9mm. is far from superior.
