And I was crazy enough to make a 4th! This video showcases shortcuts from mostly tracks added newly to CTGP Revolution in the May 2015 update. I also included shortcuts that were hidden well in the custom tracks even if they were extremely easy just to teach people more shortcuts. But yea, there are quite a few useful shortcuts and I found a lot of them on my own just from messing around!

In case anyone was wondering, GBA YOSHI DESERT IS NO LONGER IN CTGP because the shortcut Troy showcased was extremely broken.

Nice video, but it would have been better if you had put the Risk VS Reward like in #3. Some of these shortcuts might look hard but are actually easy,and vice versa. Aside from that, this was good.
Alex W Yeah I would've done that but too many people complained with me over the ratings so I decided it wasn't worth the effort
TWD98 Ya because your really good at mkwii so some of those shortcuts probably were easier for you than an average mkwii player like me :D.
TWD98 Troy! On Super Sky Courtyard, I found another shortcut, thats kinda like the DK's Jungle Parkaway shortcut. I haven't really found any use for it because its seeming to be a lap 1 shortcut only, but if you start a time trial, and IMMEDIATLY shroom and trick to the right, you can get to the top, it can be done with 1 shroom saving about a second, but using a second shroom to get back into the race saves about 3.
You think there is any possible way that this shortcut could be able to be done lap 2/3?

QuestionTuesdayFTW heh, if only I have a video recording software, Plus, I'd rather not show it since its hard asf to do NOT on the first lap, so its basically useless.
Imagine just how much time does Troy have to put into one video like this? Having to record all those attempts on every track...

We all weren't expecting this, I thought it would take a bit longer to find some expert shortcuts since many new tracks came out recently but that shows you worked really hard! Left a like! Amazing job Troy!

I wish I could still play this ;w; The memories are fading away since my MKWii disc doesn't work anymore. R.I.P My MKWii disc 2009 - 2016. There are so much scratches. I've been a 3 star since 2012 on MKWii and held my position since then, No more CTGP for me. All I can do is play normal MKWii with my USB Loader. Thanks for all your help, I could never be a 3 star without watching you, using your shortcuts and techniques. I really appreciate you making vids, they help me get over my sadness of my MKWii disc. I tried toothpaste XD but it makes it worse. I always get an error when I start my Wii up with MKWii in. I don't know if buying a new disc would ruin my save data or not but it's worth a try.
Hey dude! Have you done it yet? If not, buy a new disc! It doesn't corrupt your save data, it keeps all the data in you Wii, not disc. I've tried it before, and trust me, it works. Hope you get back to playing and have a nice day!

I have a more difficult situation. My disc is fine but my wii won't read anything. I have USB loader installed so I can still play but no CTGP.
What do you mean my 'won't read anything'? Have you got Riivolution or something for CTGP?

disc read error whenever i try to run a game. and not just dual layer discs, pretty much all of them.

What happened to Heart of China? It looks really ugly compared to what it looked like before.

The original looked really nice, it was my favourite custom track. This one just doesn't do it for me.
Of course, you've raced on it; I haven't. I can't argue for or against this track from a racing standpoint.
Wingcapman Eleven It's a great track and I'm sure it's still amazing to race on. However, these visuals aren't for me. I'm probably in the minority on that, however. :P

These shortcuts are incredible, there are some of these which aren't on TAS runs 0_o
But there's a problem, you didn't put how much difficult are each shortcuts.
Great video! A nice feature you could add for future videos is doing a live run of it instead of replays so we can see what part of the track the shortcut is on the minimap. c:
I prefer the clean look of not having all the extra stuff on the screen and it would be annoying to have to record hours of footage from all the attempts as opposed to just recording the replays. Long story short, the way I do it is much easier for me and I'll never change it

A suggestion for if your gonna make another one of these is to mark the places where you use the mushrooms.

Super X2468 The update isn't published yet, it still needs some tweaks so here and there, and I'll add some different versions for the people who prefer grass over snow (as an example).

Nice shortcuts, some are still just really weird (like Strobenz Desert) depending on the layout, but they're great nonetheless, well done. :)
Btw, is the sky shortcut in Heart of China easier to do now compared to the earlier versions you've tried?? Or is it harder?? I find it easier to do with karts now, but other people might have different experience with it.
Wingcapman Eleven I'd say it's easier because it's way less sketchy. Before, I could rarely get it, It's much better now :)

For the top 10 it is probably using Pokemon music from the elite four battle. May also be the campion battle. But I am guessing that it is in the description but I didn't look so I don't know.
If you decide to do another one you should include the minimap so people can see where the shortcuts are more clearly
There's another shortcut on Canyon Run similar to the second one, but you land on the platform you start on for the shroomless cut.

TWD98 Silly question here, but what did you do to make that text effect in Vegas? I usually just give it a slight transparency but yours looks more saturated or something and I like the look of it.
Also, if you don't mind me asking again, what font are you using? Is it Impact?

Okay, I found out the text effect thing (it was a lot simpler than I thought, lol), but I'm still not sure on what your font is.

Change the transparency settings of the layer to dodge and then make it a little more transparent
