For a track to be good in 2013, it needs to have a water stream, but in for it to be good in 2012, it needs to have "Island" in its name.
+Ganesha Addanki Sunset Ridge doesn' t have Island in its name
and in 2017, it needs to be made by sniki.

And in 2024, it should have illusions that load into other worlds and dimensions containing portions of tracks from previous eras and the one we have today.
As a CT designer, I have learned that there is no such thing as limits. Sometimes people say a track is bad because it doesn't conform to what you would normally see in a Nintendo track, but *not* designing a Nintendo track was exactly what I try to do as a designer (except maybe Sunset Ridge), and the fact that it is unique and controversial is exactly what motivates me. I am honored to see that you guys enjoy Halogen Highway and I am motivated to continue with the new tracks I am working on!

This is almost the reason I would love Nintendo to allow people to submit custom tracks to become official maps in Mario Kart 8 or future entries. Similar to TF2, we have a lot of really talented people that could make some outstanding maps like this and it would be awesome to have all the more reason to play Mario Kart 8.

+Kazuo Speaking of Mario Maker... I hope Sonic Team makes a game similar to that one day, where we can make our own Sonic Stages. That would be so awseome. Most of my stages would be full of loops and boosters xD

I feel like Halogen Highway is a great Custom Track, but is a lot of hype as well. My personal favorite is probably Undiscovered Offlimit because Custom Music makes it utterly magical.

Halogen Highway I definitely saw coming but it lacks a shortcut! All tracks need shortcuts! In my opinion, the clearcut number 1 track was Heart of China, which incorporates creativity, difficulty, and fun races (with an amazing shortcut). Troy you have surprised me more and more with your rankings with each of these videos, but I'm not the one making them right? Thanks for uploading the final part today.

Possible, absolutely. It has been attempted before but never saw the light of day. I'm more interested in creating new tracks, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see one from someone else within the next year.

Yeah Wingcapman! Your track definitely deserved to be in the top 10! District 65 also did. And to answer Coltons question, the cave section on District 65 reminds me of the Hobbit.

I've played the updated version and it is still not fun to race on. The physics of MKWii don't work well for that track like they do on Double Dash.

Halogen Highway has a lot of Easter Eggs. It had the troll-face, creepers, things in the pictures, and what looks like Andross in the background of 12:27

and the red creepers are actually an elemental creeper so it is still fully linked

Is Heart of China part of CTWW for the newer version of it? Cause that would be pretty awesome!
Visually, it's one of the most appealing tracks and has an art style like no other track. I think this is the main reason, plus it has dem water streams :P
Also, I thought it was hilarious that Volcanic Skyway 4 got so far up on the list, seeing as I hated the damn beast in the days before I released it. It needed an update badly, but the only reason I ever did update it was because I wanted it over and done with, and not to have to worry about it ever being "incomplete" still. It surprisingly had (by far) the most stupid freezes and glitches of any track I've ever made, and it obviously still has quite a few issues such as the cloud road.
We understand Troy college is hard. I'm starting high school so... Thanks for uploading what you can though!

You said in the top 40 that to make a good track, you need to add island at the end. Now to make a good track, you need to make a waterstream in it. Combine those two and you got your #1 track right there.
Funny how in the previous Top 40, BigOto2 was a part of making No1, and in the Top 50 BigOto2 made the No1. BigOto is an epic CT maker!
Okay, this may be a dumb question but please bear with me. How do you get these custom tracks on your wii such that you can play them? Some of these tracks look really, really cool and I want to be able to play them.
I didn't even think about Heart of China. And speaking of that, will it be in the update of the Cam, Tom, and Troy Pack?
Oh and for the DS Wario Stadium you can actually trick off the boost panels at 1:26.

Using recent skills i have worked out that the ultimate custom track should have Enemies , Bouncy mushrooms with maze's it must be called some thing island and must have a water stream (basically i just watched all of his top custom track videos)

Ok. I know this is not related to the current video, but I need to point this out. I have looked through the comments of a number of Troy's recent videos, and have noticed multiple comments that start with "Troy when will you" or "Troy when is the next". I know for a fact that Troy doesn't like these comments for the reason that he has a life too, he can't be making videos 24/7. It takes a while to make a quality video guys. Just let him upload as he can, he'd appreciate it greatly.
