This vid is 10 years old now and every time I watch these it always makes wanna boot up custom tracks. Probably first saw this like 6 years ago when I was 10 and since then they have been a big part of mkwii for me so thanks for making them.
@@JRXY11 lmaoo you gotta be thankful from what I experienced back in 2011. Lol it was ridiculous back then with all the bugs and half made looking tracks haha. Still was a fun experience
When I noticed that it didn't look like the track I know and mushroom peaks was a bit different back then as well because it didn't have any trees flowers the big screen the shortcut path mushrooms were the same color as the main path and there was no hot air balloon either
I was thinking a similar thing actually! Just needed to buff the karts a TINY bit. Like, make big mini turbos bigger, Making wheelie-ing slightly slower but still keeping bikes ultimately on top.
A remaster would break the broken shortcuts. I like such shortcuts, but your opinion on the topic might help you decide whether you would actually prefer the game to be remastered or not.
Man, i remember finding this video back when I was like 5 years old and coming back to it today when im older and have CTGP for myself really makes this video really nastalgic.
Very professional and nicely put together. ;D The music was amazing as usual, especially the 3rd song. Favorite non-top10 sc's: 1. Water Island 2. Kinoko Cave 3. Pipe Underworld Favorite from top 10: Bowser Jr's Fort (looked awesome). Really helpful video. Nice job :D TroyiS#1
Aman Ftwi same ..do you know if we can find the old ? Like strobenz dezert petite park darkness temple ...they were my favorite but with the upgrade they dissapeared......sadly
@@LuigiLuigi728 incredibly late reply but Mariokart wii hack pack has alot of old ones like petite Park, warios lair, Mushroom Valley and alot more incase you're still looking after 8 months
Troy, i think i have commented on this vid like 10 times but every time i watch this i almost cry. This video is more than nostalgia and my one dream before i die is to see you. Im 16 and i still absolutely love you. If u respond to this comment i might actually cry.
Another one on mushroom peaks that can be performed on 200cc is Start the race with a boost, go a little to the left then wheelie When you are close to the ramp, drift to hug near the corner, trick and use a mushroom while holding down to fall slower
Snowy Circuit Road was my favorite out of all. Unlike most custom tracks, it's a very simple track. Most tracks have a bazillion ways leading to the finish line...
When did you discover the 1st one? I'm pretty sure I found it first ;). And also, I can do the second one on Kinoko Cave without hitting the wall. Also, great video, Troy!
#1 was a glitch (it will get fixed), we did make a fall boundary there but somehow it doesn't work like on Thunder City. The invisa-mini-mushroom is an easter egg. If you look closely you can actually see it. Also my next track, Wetland Woods will come next week.
i was half my age now when i first watched this meaning i was 6 at the time basically my two favorite youtubers were chuggaaconroy and TDW98 and i still watch them today
Kinoko Cave shortcuts are easier than I thought they would be because the first shortcut you bounce on the second Mushroom and shroom once and land over the fence. The second one you just bounce on that mushroom and clip on to the wall and go over the wall.
Very nice, I've only recently started playing Custom Tracks (because I saw them in your videos) and haven't played half of these courses but hopefully I can take some these for use in my own Custom Track series :P
I wish I was able to play some of these tracks, in a way, they perfectly describe the game as a whole, glitchy and broken, but stupidly fun. And also, F to my favourite custom track when I was younger, Mushroom Valley.

Man, there's just something about Classic TWD98 that cannot be beaten in my eyes.
The style, the music, everything. Such a time capsule~
Woooowww Kinoko Cave looked so different back then
It was absolute garbage back then. Now it's awesome

I wish they would make a remastered version if this game
Firestar Gaming nah boy just download ctgp and your set

Y'all are way too optimistic Nintendo would never do that
hps362 no keep wheelies the same but add fire hopping

I still remember the day this video came out and thinking how it was definitely your best edited video up to date. 11 years ago my god.
It was amazing for its time. This video just shows how great Troy was in his prime.
I've gotten good at it now so I don't mind it anymore :P
You have some of the greatest MKWii videos available, and that's what you are known for.
8:13 PERFECT timing with the music :D
At 8 years old, I thought this was the coolest thing ever.
3:35 it's embarrassing to say that I only know (and love) this song because I'm a GD player, and I play too much :p

Around 50 shortcuts and over 8minutes long. Short? I lol'd

These are useful shortcuts for wifi as stated in the description. That is not something you do on wifi, completely not worth the risk.

Great video troy! This really helped me out ^^ Also GG's in the CTWW earlier.
I did the Mushroom Valley shortcut once, but I went backwards, but it was still awesome. Plus it was mirror mode.
