Everytime you come across a crystal that spawns enemies in a dungeon, don't break it right away. Switch to mage and kill a ton of enemies. They should die without entering battle and each kill restored your teams MP a bit. Its basically a free full MP restore. It's a lot faster than having to reenter areas to spawn weak enemies
You can also use them with the merchant archetype and get a shit load of gold. I farmed the martira dungeon for around an hour and came out with about 300k gold. 250k from farming and 50k from item drops
So expanding on the gold farm tip. When you find a melancholic crystal that spawns mobs in any dungeon you can actually use those to farm a shit load of gold/mag/ and exp. I did it for about an hr last night in the martira dungeon and came out with 4-5 levels, maxed a couple archetypes and 250k gold not including the items sold which produced around another 50k
What in the...? This is almost beat for beat the same as the tips video IGN released 7 hours ago. I thought it was just a coincidence, until the first four or five tips were almost word for word the same. EDIT: NVM, Owned by the same company, probably legit. Thanks folks that corrected me!
Also game companies like Atlus send influencers and media outlets essentially prewritten articles full of talking points and game tips unordered to make sure they control what the gaming press is saying. The lazier writers just copy and paste with a few words changed here and there to avoid getting caught by plagiarism allegations. If companies/influences don't play nice, they don't get review copies of future games, meaning they lose out on money and attention as viewers look elsewhere. Cool industry, very normal.
@@BrienBoru Plagiarism isn't an issue with press releases, but a channel can't simply copy marketing without marking it very clear that's what's going on, at least in the EU (and those rules were copied into UK law). Undeclared sponsorship & so on is something they clamped down on hard a while back, & you don't need to have received monetary recompense for it to count as sponsored content. In the US there's basically no consumer protection so anyone can pretty much do whatever they want, but they can get caught out too if their content is viewed overseas & deemed to be misleading.
The hard timer is such a fun killer to me, i love exploring and hate having some dum thing forcing me forward. I have no doubt just like in persona there is plenty of time or narrative drive.
@@rodrigocampos1302 i replayed it all last night and it took me about 2hrs to get back to the like "mission start" when the game lets you do what you want (i put the game on easy and skipped a good amount of dialogue but i think i could've been even faster)
Consumables and Money are a much more critical thing in this game compared to Persona 3 Reload and especially Persona 5 Royal. Don’t fret it; either play the entire game with a step-by-step guide to guarantee you get everything, or, recommended, simply make the best possible decisions, maintaining a rolling save can help with this a lot. Don’t succumb to FOMO and keep restarting, this will only burn and bore you out; there’s always new game+ to clean up your act, by the time you’ve reached this you’ll likely appreciate the restart far more than you do now. Dealing with FOMO is a live skill nowadays, overcoming it throughout Metaphor is low risk yet high reward (character growth). Edit: same goes for consumables, use them, saving them indefinitely is just another expression of FOMO. If you want to optimise your first month you want to clear the story dungeon immediately and entirely as this will open up bonding with party members; 6 Fire Fangs (150 fire to all) strategically placed at barely level 17 (healer, warrior, mage) allowed me to 3-turn the Necromancer with minimal MP at hand.
I love how hanging out with the stunning Fabienne raises your 'tolerance'. Maybe eventually I'll be able to stand the sight of her weird furry people 😅
I don't really want any spoilers here, but is there any downside to me doing the first proper dungeon in Grand Trad (the necromancer one) in the first few days, or should I drag it out to close to the deadline before finishing it, allowing me to do more other things around town etc?
I prefer to do side missions and grind some side dungeons first, so by the time you actually go in, most of the enemies can be beaten in overworld combat, otherwise you'll probably end up going back and resting multiple times before you finish it, wasting some precious days you could have spent on your virtues or followers But it's the same tradeoff on every story mission with a time limit like that, so you can try it one way or the other and pick the one you like best
Other dungeons, yeah. This is the anti-persona where it's recommended to do dungeon first. Due to the job system and tighter money and consumables, except the first dungeon, I try to do the side missions and side dungeons first then the main one, and even then I end up starting them 7 days or more remaining on clock
This video is exactly the same as IGN's, th-cam.com/video/xaIBxGxvizo/w-d-xo.html, I get that IGN owns Eurogamer but why would you waste time/money to just redub a video essentially?
This video spoils so many of the new surprises in the game. Useful tips like the cooking info was important, but footage of later areas, techniques and unique rewards were completely unnecessary
Do you have any tips to share with the rest of us Metaphor fans? Let us know here in the comments! - Ian

Thank you. MP/SP recovery is the most important thing in Atlus RPGs

all these tips videos are great but all you in the comments are the real heroes with even more helpful tips and tricks! appreciate yall!
I just... I literally just saw another video give this exact same list. In this exact same order, even.
And make the same comments and segways too, right? Just a different order to make it sound different. Something's fucky here.
Maybe you should look at the upload time to see if one of them had enough time to copy and edit the other.
It's IGNs video it's literally the exact same in the same order and everything...
lol yeah I thought it sounded familiar
Yup yall are not alone on this. Wtf is going on
I just fought the dragon on hard with seeker, mage and warrior at level 8 and it was fine, no need to get extra items or switch archetype.
These are good tips. Thanks
Thank you! Best tip video for this game I've seen.
This just got me very hyped for the game, I appreciate the great work that went into the video, thanks!
It’s funny how almost every metaphor video thumbnail have Hulkenberg
She was basically the face of this game until it was officially named Metaphor. Also girls get more clicks lol.

Damn, can you go back to fight the dragon? I finished the Demo and now i'm wondering if i should continue at that point or restart
you can't go back, i personally killed it in the demo but i still restarted because it doesn't transfer achievements

Well the only diff is that you get the bonus of a fight against a annoying enemies, not strong, just annoying
If I throw mage on the whole party does the passive stack or just the protagonist passive proc?
Those are passives only the protagonist can use. I think they’re even called „protagonist passives“ ingame. ;)

Do it asap. There’s no downsides to doing it immediately and it allows you to start raising your party members follower ranks sooner

I was going to say, not a chance anyone is beating that dragon on hard, but idk maaayyyybe.
I'm playing on Hard because it wouldn't let me start at Hardcore. RPGs are EZ; if you fail just grind a bit and change up your strategy.
Has this game converted Ian to Atlus Jrpgs? Or is it just terrific acting 😂
Are Eurogamer and IGN owned by the same company? They have the exact same script for this and same footage... Its kinda wierd
Please don't take this guys advice about exchanging your MAG for gold. You will regret it.
Why is this the same video as ign?
Because Eurogamer was bought out by IGN along with GamesIndustry, VG247, Rock Paper Shotgun and Dicebreaker back in May this year.
I noticed this as well but I learned that IGN acquired Eurogamer so that explains it.
Yeah same company except the guy narrating seems less bored and is somehow more clear. Where the other one it all sounded like a run on sentence.
No romance hurts but it is still fun.
Wait a minute, I know that voice ..
This is almost the same thing ign did… in almost the same sequence of explanation…
This video is damn near word-for-word the IGN article about the same thing. So, which one of you guys plagiarized who first?
They have the same owner now.
Is this a sponsored video, cause i watched the same on another channel..?
The IGN video looks just like this crazy.
If we got persona 5 and smt on switch, there is no reason not to have this too, so salty.
That can only mean one thing tho…switch 2.
Scary how this is just IGNs video. You guys have too much control over the space.
