    Just imageine. If they called it Chevy S10/ GMC Sonoma, they would sell twice as many.

    ill tell you one thing, thats no compact truck. what happened to actually small trucks like the old toyota pickup and mitsubishi mighty max?

      gargilbert ....that is a massive overgeneralization. Old compact trucks, that may have been true. Look at the crash test ratings these days of even sub compact cars, they are often 5 stars all around. I wouldn't expect any less out of a modern compact pickup..if they actually made one.

      Random Videos its the v8 part that saves lives. not the agility or quickness needed in a collision avoiding situation right? it looks like i have twice the chances of being killed as you because my supercharged 4 banger is so slow. and that darned 51/49 weight distribution is just a disaster waiting to happen. fml. i need a silverado.

      Even compact cars have gotten bigger, it's called "innovation"...

    • @newwavetheo

      The compact pickups basically got killed off. Nissan / Toyota wanted to supersize the Frontier and Tacoma to be more of a midsize truck. That left the Ford Ranger as the only "true" compact truck you could get new in the U.S, until 2011 when Ford rebelled against it too. Automakers want us to think that these midsize trucks are "compact trucks". I'm not buying it. Chevrolet actually currently makes a good little compact (albeit, a unibody truck and FWD drivetrain) called the "Chevrolet Montana". That isn't sold in the U.S. though, but I wish it was. Looking at the pics on Google, it looks to be like the "modern-day El-Camino", although somewhat narrower, and all engines are Inline-4's.

    Do people write your lines for you Cooley or are you just that good lol. Anyways great quick review, and i wanted to ask if you think this is any better than a Tacoma? If not at least buy being made it will force Toyota to update that old thing right?

      There is an all-new Tacoma arriving for the 2016 model year.

    Amazing $495 for Nav?? If that isn't the cheapest factory Nav optIon I've seen, I don't know what is

    • @joelknox7753
      @joelknox7753 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Really it’s $995... They list Nav and Bose Audio separate, but like Cooley said; one requires the other. Much like most other automakers do, except they just put it all in one package.

    That's just a Nissan Frontier. GMC shares designs with Nissan. GMC got so lazy last year that they bought Nissan mini vans and slapped a Chevy logo on grill and rear door.
    They worked out that this method was cheaper than designing new Chevy mini vans from the ground up.

    We, the third world market, enjoy the 2.8 Duramax diesel in our version of the colorado and trailblazer. It's torque-y and powerful. If you (U.S.) don't fall in love with this diesel drivetrain, I don't know what will.

    Brian.......Had trucks and cars together all my life....both accelerate/feel differently...Trucks, whether, 4 or 6 cyn engines, are not going to accelerate like a car which tends to feel zippier. I don' expect Trucks to be fast, because I need more TORQUE (Muscle) not horsepower (speed) to haul heavy things. Trucks may be bigger/heavier and are designed to have lots of needed torque....this is probably why you're not impressed with the acceleration of the truck! They have muscle (hauling power) but are slower than cars. You noticed! LOL :)

    I really like the idea of having a diesel option in this size, but the design is hideous imo. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Nissan Frontier or the Dodge Dakota.

    They should have put the new 4.3 in this truck if it would fit.... I think it would work well here.

      413_Dina This truck looks nothing like that mess Ridgeline. It looks like a smaller version of the Sierra.
