I have a 2013 FX37 AWD and it's the best vehicle I've ever owned. There are some good and bad so let me list them from my experience starting with the bad: The interior electronics is outdated and counter-intuitive, like he said. The navigation is so bad that I just use Google Maps on my Android for GPS. The back seats and trunk space could be bigger, but I don't have any kids nor do I work construction, so that doesn't matter to me. I also only average 18.5 MPG (50/50 city and highway). If you have kids, you will probably want something roomier and more gas efficient like an MDX, RX350, or something similarly boring. If you're a selfish, young professional like me, then this is the car for you! Driving it in "Sport" mode is great fun - a little too fun - and it handles like a car. Whether you're cruising downtown on the weekends or going to a fancy business dinner, you fit right in. The AWD works great in the rain and light snow; as soon as there's a "slip" it gets corrected by the computer. We don't get deep snow or ice, so I can't speak on that. I've done all the scheduled maintenance and the reliability is what you'd expect from a Japanese car. My cousin has an Audi Q5 and it's constantly in the shop for minor things - something minor in a German car will cost you big. One word of advice: get really good tires. I see people getting cheap tires on their $45K+ SUVs and it makes no sense. To maximize the ride comfort, handling and performance, get the best tires you can get.
I love Cooley. My opinion is that all cars have good stuff but for once there is a reviewer that talks about the negative. Even my car got bashed on his review n I find it ok. Every car company is advertising their positives but I rather seee the negative. Plus Cooley is honest.
People think this is a Family SUV, this is a performance car. If you want something luxury, look for a Yukon Denali. I’m loving my 2017 Denali I wouldn’t change it for anything
I really like the monochrome LCD in the instrument cluster of my G37. It's easy to use, gives the gist, and it isn't brightly colored. I hate the way that other makers (i.e. Ford and Chevy) set it up, just give me the traditional needles!
Thisn is my 3rd FX and still love them but agree the tech has fallen behind. I noticed that my 2013 around view camera is horrible but my 201309 was perfect. Anyone else notice that?
Brian didn't mention the QX70 currently sells for about $6700 off MSRP. You see, Brian, old car designs may lack some newer gizmos but they cost less. Well equipped this is about $50,000 now. Price an X6 and get back to us.
+Bruno TaTa Its a "luxury" car. Its supposed to have tech. Its just a bit embarrassing when a Kia pulls up next to you and has nicer tech. Nobody at this price point is racing their SUV either. They drive it on real roads.
+james hawkins It's also one of the best handling crossovers, one of the most reliable crossovers, is a top scoring car in safety, even by more stringent european standards, it has one of the best dealer network experiences, gets to 60mph in 6.2 seconds, and resale is strong. But yeah, looks is about it.
You had to get out of the car the other night to park?... all that technology must be turning you into a non-driver. It's an Infiniti not a Lamborghini Gallardo
I really liked this review. Where most reviewers kiss the arse of the company for which they are reviewing, you tore these guys up, which they deserved. Infiniti needs to get its head out of its hind parts with respect to tech, especially in the cabin. We test drove a 2016 QX70 versus a Nissan Murano Platinum last year, and ended up with the Murano. The QX70 felt dated and old, while the Murano feels like piloting an aircraft, and at a lower price tag. I'm in the market now for a second mid-sized SUV and am looking now at the F-Pace, the Q5, and the X5. I figured I would stop by and see if the QX70 (which has the coolest exterior styling of anything on the road in my opinion) would appeal to me. I got my answer on the tech. No thanks. Excellent review.
They focus so much on making the car cheaper to run. But the design of the interior is still so messy. Way too many buttons and user interface is last generation. Also the dash board in the old infiniti looks so much better.... without the LCD screen. That LCD screen make me feel like this is a nissan. If you want to put a LCD screen in the dash board. at least make it mean something. Personally I think the car looks great, but the little things really puts me off and make me wanna go for the audi Q series instead.
Too much focus on infotainment and how large and nice the screen looks, if I can connect my iPod and USB I'm a happy driver. Focus on driving, reliability, resale values and such... The Bose sound system on my 2015 is monstrous.
I actually like this car thing whatever it is. but Nissan c'mon you're selling this this as a style over substance alternative to the rest of the markets crossovers. $58,000 IS AN UTTER RIPOFF with yesterdays interior. its a Nissan so all the mechanicals are going to be awesome. sad thing is Nissan already has a new infotainment system. Its this awesome dual monitor setup like HONDA/ACURA but it controls everything not just infotainment. I think its in the Q50.
Oh yeah, and as for that crunchy led screen not toggling between Nav and Media, yes, the Germans do it better. My 2014 Buick Regal GS does it A LOT better!
This review was useless. You claim you had to get out of the car to park blaming the rain and cameras, what happened to your mirrors ?..did they malfunction due to the rain too ?? Looks like you were around before cars had computers and any technology so why the drama ??? Why go OCD for 3 of the 8 minutes on the NAV ? How about a "Real" review next time without all the BS.
Brian M LOL Did he just really compare Santa Fe to Infiniti's QX70? No wonder people buy all kinds of vehicles that are just boring and subtle grocery getters. They are oblivious to differences or any actual dynamics.
How's it working out for you being a fan boy? The reality is that the FX/QX70 is in desperate need of a redesign. They changed the name to something even more confusing than before, but it's still the same antiquated crap that they released in 2003. They're being left behind by Porsche, and yes, even Hyundai, in the sport SUV segment. The Hyundai's handling isn't as good, but the Hyundai's drive train is definitely superior. Nissan as a whole needs to step up their game, but as of now nearly every car they make is ONLY available with a crappy CVT transmission.
I've got 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, which I bought 5 years ago. It had 44K Miles. Now it has 82K Miles and I've experienced only 2 minor problems and everything works as jaymum23 noticed.
man.. i rly wish car companies watch brian's tech reviews
Jeez, this generation debuted in 2009 at that time technology was still on the rise! Give the Qx70 a damn break Cooley!
Cooley cracks me up, such a great reviewer

Our FX35 handled the Colorado mountains deep snow exceptionally well! It slid around on ice a bit but remained controllable and stable. Great snow car
Привет. Инфинити фх 37 - отличный автомобиль.
شكراً ❤
now thats a real car review!!! no lies or BS! tech sucks? he says it!
Still driving my 2013 FX37 and it's still better than most cars today.
I was about to buy this car tomorrow, changed my mind after this video.
I like the new format and Cooley stabbing the screen with a pen was hilarious!
It is 2018 now, yet anything is changed, and they are still building them, selling for a very high price
Same reviewers that complain about no manuals anymore also complain about having to use the shifter to change gears in an automatic.
I love Cooley. My opinion is that all cars have good stuff but for once there is a reviewer that talks about the negative. Even my car got bashed on his review n I find it ok. Every car company is advertising their positives but I rather seee the negative. Plus Cooley is honest.
+dj ochi your experience, do you advice me to buy it?
People think this is a Family SUV, this is a performance car. If you want something luxury, look for a Yukon Denali. I’m loving my 2017 Denali I wouldn’t change it for anything
This car looks good
Gorgeous vehicle interior and exterior, you can get these on the market for a nice pre-owned price. Reliability is a 10 with a sporty drive.
Makes the SRX look 10 years ahead!
Привет. Машина отличная, азартная. У нас в России очень ценится, особенно фх 37.
"How often do I change time zone as opposed to entering a street address" Maybe they're trying to sell these in Indiana?
Meanwhile the thing that matters most to those not buying Honda Pilots and RX350's, the ride/handling balance, they nail.
Damn, what a great car journalist!
Can’t park by sight? Millennial or what??
Honest review......but really that bas compared to all out there?
I really like the monochrome LCD in the instrument cluster of my G37. It's easy to use, gives the gist, and it isn't brightly colored. I hate the way that other makers (i.e. Ford and Chevy) set it up, just give me the traditional needles!
Yes thank you, hell with a lot of BMW cars you don't even have one!
Well done review with a great eye for detail and a sense of humor!
Dam he's pissed
At least someone is a De La Soul fan.
He is right for 60k it should offer more than this.
Dude its just a radio
Q50 PLEASE!!!
This guy is a joke! I love my fx50s. Who ever change the name and went Q crazy should be fire. It will always be a G and always be a FX
Just because you like your car doesn't mean it's perfect
Where's your Q50 review ?
Thisn is my 3rd FX and still love them but agree the tech has fallen behind.
I noticed that my 2013 around view camera is horrible but my 201309 was perfect. Anyone else notice that?

$50,000 for a car with antiques in the dash. No thanks.
+White03T4RV82WD cell phone nerds may enjoy new tech, but some people actually like to drive.
+Bruno TaTa Its a "luxury" car. Its supposed to have tech. Its just a bit embarrassing when a Kia pulls up next to you and has nicer tech. Nobody at this price point is racing their SUV either. They drive it on real roads.
please review the new infiniti Q50
It's a nice looking crossover but that is about it.
Bruno TaTa Yeah okay. Thanks, bought something else anyways.
4 the Price Tag On This, I would Have 2 wait Until tha Tech Game Gets Better.
cooley really ripped this car lol. but i do agree that they need to up the tech
Wow, he slammed this vehicle
Great review as always Brian, and an especially great rant! Spot on I thought. Given the way it looks and drives, I don't even care! ;-)
Why not 1080p videos?
You had to get out of the car the other night to park?... all that technology must be turning you into a non-driver. It's an Infiniti not a Lamborghini Gallardo
Excellent review
in 2024 your audi is in a junkyard
Have owned infinities for years and loved everyone. But what's up with all the name changes? Not a fan at all
HAHAHAHAHA!! He referred to the navigation as "Fisher Price". XD
I really liked this review. Where most reviewers kiss the arse of the company for which they are reviewing, you tore these guys up, which they deserved.

Excellent review.
What kind of drunken drivers do you expect to need the lane keeping feature so often they have to worry about losing momentum from the yaw braking?
All d best parvesh
still this body looks decent the interior of course needs updating
TIME FOR A REDESIGN!!!!!!
You change to XM with the voice function.
I can't believe I'm cross shopping the fx37 with same year mustang gt
Best way to enjoy any infinity is to just turn off the whole infotainment system and use ur phone for music and GPS...
This guy is a German fan I stay with my Japanese cars they last longer and maintance is cheaper
He bashed the shit out of this car lol damn
all hail Cooley
I've never heard him say anything good about a car. All he does is compare everything to Audi.
Hahahahahahahahaha u have made my stomach hurt
😂😂😂

FISHERPRICE-LEVEL
These reviews are useless. We have smartphones for all this. What is the CAR like?
You know it's called Car Tech right?
you would think they would have sorted this vehicle out by now
PLEASE REVIEW THE INFINITI Q50!!!
i kinda of like it weird looks.Very different
Wah! My nav works well enough and is easy to use, but it isn't pretty enough!
Pleas rewie bugatti veyron
He already did...search "Cnet Bugatti Veyron"
I rather get an Audi Q5 over this any day...
"Pos-nuclear version of san francisco" lmfao hahaha
Too much focus on infotainment and how large and nice the screen looks, if I can connect my iPod and USB I'm a happy driver. Focus on driving, reliability, resale values and such...
The Bose sound system on my 2015 is monstrous.
mindcrime2010 this is a review about the tech in the vehicle .. hence "check the tech"
The BMW X5 M does 0-60 a full second faster than the FX50 S.
*****
You said the FX was faster. It isn't.
*****
Yes, you did. You think that just because it's been two months that I don't remember you edited your comment? Nigga, please.
*****
If it was so clear...why did you edit it?
Ouch he hates the cabin tech... You can get better for your money though
This man needs a break or sedatives. He is very nervous! Don't like!
He's complaining because he wont be able to afford one
Are you a troll or what?
For that kinda money, you might as well get an X1 or GLK
Hold on.. QX70.. suggests it is the older brother of the QX60 // Pathfinder... WTF?
u have to love brian lol
nope
lol why is my 2010 G camera better than this 3 year newer model that is considerably more expensive
Just can't go without riding Audi right? By the way Audi lost a step or 2
Infiniti Nissan Nav systems are horrible
Oh yeah, and as for that crunchy led screen not toggling between Nav and Media, yes, the Germans do it better. My 2014 Buick Regal GS does it A LOT better!
It's a ghost car.

This wasn’t a good car when purchased new. Makes for a great used car
It makes me laugh when he rips a car a new one for having bad tech
Doent nissn owns infinti so why audi makes some decison
All you seem to do is complain so I guess you're not buying one are you😂
Jones Margaret White Maria Jones Steven
this guy hates Japanese cars.
Looks like a shoe
Pos I meant
it also has a weird exterior shape
whos that guy, he is acting as if he is the emperor of world get lost
The front is hideous
I don't like the interior. too old looking
Since it debuted in 2009 it has Infiniti's older interior cluster. I can't wait for the next gen model!
5th
Expensive for dated tech. Haha, you can do better than that infiniti.
the moment i saw the Screen Display and that reverse camera clarity.. i realized Wat a shit box Infiniti has made..
It's nowhere near as good as the new Hyundai Santa Fe, and only $20,000-$30,000 more!
Except you know... the supple handling, better engine, better styling.
Brian M LOL Did he just really compare Santa Fe to Infiniti's QX70?
No wonder people buy all kinds of vehicles that are just boring and subtle grocery getters. They are oblivious to differences or any actual dynamics.
I've driven both, numb nuts. The difference doesn't warrant the price tag doubling.
Listen numb nuts, enjoy your Hyundai and go get me some milk.
How's it working out for you being a fan boy? The reality is that the FX/QX70 is in desperate need of a redesign. Acura and hondas navi is WAYYYYYYY WORSE than this but this is bad
All nissan's/infiniti's are poorly made cars.
I've got 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, which I bought 5 years ago. It had 44K Miles.
Now it has 82K Miles and I've experienced only 2 minor problems and everything works as jaymum23 noticed.
jaymum23 Vanuatoo WoW 2 happy customers out of millions lmao
Maur Ice look online, idiot.
