Roy Orbison one of the most beautiful voices ever. Roy is a legend, and his voice went further then even Elvis could manage. 2:17-2:30 Roy's voice is a miracle...Do you agree with me, fans?
One of the greatest voices to ever come from another human being and so widely regarded by all of his peers too 🙌 Elvis Presley publicly stated that Roy had the ' most perfect voice' and referring to him as the 'greatest singer in the world' during one of his Vegas concerts. John Lennon once wrote.. Please, Please Me imagining Roy Orbison singing it Upon Roy playing “Pretty Woman” to the Beatles on the tour bus, Paul McCartney said to the rest of the group “We’ve got to try and write one as good as that!” You are sorely missed Roy 😥🙏
Lyrics: I had to escape The city was sticky and cruel Maybe I should have called you first But I was dying to get to you I was dreaming while I drove the long straight road ahead, uh-huh, yeah Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide This fever for you was just burning me up inside I drove all night to get to you Is that all right? I drove all night, crept in your room Woke you from your sleep to make love to you Is that all right? I drove all night What in this world Keeps us from falling apart? No matter where I go I hear The beating of our one heart I think about you when the night is cold and dark, uh-huh, yeah No one can move me the way that you do Nothing erases this feeling between me and you, oh I drove all night to get to you Is that all right? I drove all night, crept in your room Woke you from your sleep to make love to you Is that all right? I drove all night Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide This fever for you was just burning me up inside I drove all night to get to you Is that all right? I drove all night, crept in your room Is that all right? I drove all night... I drove all night to get to you Is that all right...
I am so thankful that this album was salvaged, it would have been a crime to leave it unfinished. Roy was better than great, he was magical. This song always brings a tear to my eye. Gone far too soon, R.I.P.
I drove, after a morning shift from Manchester England, 550 miles on my motorcycle, to Arnhem Netherlands, in the winter in freezing fog, It was worth every freezing second. Still married, I'm a lucky guy.
Respect....yeah, i know - it 'sounds' romantic, i get it...but the life risk was verrry real...& not actually worth it, you just were lucky ur life was spared..
He is among the most talented singers and has not been credited enough for his passion and dedication. Nothing nowadays makes music like this anymore, it is accurate, and it comes from somewhere
Roy was a great man who had a horrible life he lost his first wife then his children was in a fire two died he was such a kind person who loved music and life! he lived threw hell and nothing was ever easy for him born with bad eyesite and he didn't let it stop him he pushed on until his death at a young age. i loved Roy so much and i love the legacy of music he left for us!
Man, I feel that ! 35 years ago, it was like that, drive all night. Today it's 45 minutes one way. Nursing Homes don't allow much in the way of Romance..... it's still in the air though. I love my wife like i did back when I married her. even if her state of mind and health are declining
No wonder he said he would follow anyone on stage......except Orbison! Roy has such a distinctive voice that was so natural only to him. I hear imitators of folks and have looked for Roy imitators but they can't hold a candle to the original. Maybe people will truly sorrow when they realize who we lost when we lose the rest of the Traveling Wilburys. The only semi equivalent is The Highwaymen of which we lost Johnny and Waylon. Both of those groups are treasures. When Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan pass and then Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson pass, only a handful of people will realize what we lost, but will lose it when we hear Trigger go silent forever
Totally. Those pale eyes and the beautiful worried eyebrows. In black and white, as he's driving the car. Definitely worth freeze-framing! Then when he smiles (still at the wheel) at 2'02". Wow!
I just started listening to him I’m 46 ( I was a teenager in the 90’s never listened to his music until now, what a beautiful voice, I’m binge watching all his videos

@@dreamsunclesfeet I didn't say it:) I wrote clip is filled with emotions and energy of youth. And happy those people who felt it in their 16-25. Because when you become older everything is different, no that purity of consciousness and it's impossible to experience first love twice.
Me too. Now I am 39 and still love his songs. I have never lived the emotions his express in his songs, but they remind me of that great time of my life, my friends that live far from me now and Ana who was my best friend and passed away 8 years ago
As a much younger man studying at university in the mid-2000s, I fell in love with a girl who lived 3 hours' drive away. I would finish my supermarket job at 11 pm on Thursday night and take my little rattlecan of a car onto the motorway, reaching her at 2 am, spend the night with her, drop her off at work on Friday morning, then drive back up to start my own shift on Friday afternoon. That was how we spent our first year together. We married the year after I finished university, and we've never been apart longer than a single night since. This song holds a particularly special place in my heart because of that year.
With age and time music holds even more meaning and power. This song evokes memories of the passion and fever of young, all consuming love, the memory of which becomes more nostalgic with time. A new appreciation for this masterpiece.

Jason Priestly & Jennifer Connelly The video should have been called the most beautiful woman in the world and the most beautiful man in the world. My eyes hurt to see so much human beauty
This song has such a fitting for being his final single. He certainly “drove all night” to the Man upstairs after a long, successful career. God bless The Big O 😎
I could never get tired of seeing this beautiful man, Jason Priestley's face. I've seen him on the screen since my childhood, as a 90's kid. Brings back memories. Also, I really enjoy Roy's voice/ music.
It was just a demo track that Roy knocked out for the songwriters who wrote the song with him in mind just before he died, then the tape was found and the instrumentation was added way after the fact, yet this version just rocks. Roy was such a nice guy, it is sad his life cut short, but at least he lived long enough to experience a return. The guy lived humble and without scandal. His wife recently passed, so they are together again (she never remarried). RIP Roy, you inspired so many.
Yep that's true Roy didn't have a record deal at the time and there was contractual issues about him releasing the song that why the writer gave it to Cyndi Lauper
My husband drove all night to come see me when we dated. He drove all night to come see me and our kids after we were married 5 years, but had separated. He hasn't had to drive all night since that horrible separation. We've been married 27 years our 3 kids are grown gentlemen now. This song truly makes me think of the amazing man I wonderfully get to call my husband and father of our children. Hugs and kisses, my Love and my Heart. Thank you for driving all night...one more time!
No matter where she was, I would drive days and nights, just to see the most beautiful smile and feel healing touch. I don't have her anymore, but she will always remain my Lady.
I was working in the Northwest Territories in 1986. There were a few times I drove almost 2000 kms in one sitting to spend a night with my wife. We will be married 40 years in a couple of months.
No doubt Roy Orbison's greatest recording and greatest radio single ever 4 years after his untimely passing. "I Drove All Night" should have spent 4weeks at #1 on the Billboard Pop 100m becoming Roy's biggest hit ever and a week at #1 on the Billboard country singles chart late in 1992.

People say how much of a King that Elvis Presley was, but it's easy to forget how much of a *_GOD_* that Roy Orbison was!
Elvis was quoted that Roy had the best voice ever..
Both had very unique voices but never forget Elvis Charisma and what a good looking man he was 🥰💖

It's his heart, man.
Greatest voice ever!
Not many songs you can listen to over and over again, but this is one of those songs you can.
No one can top him.
@@stoneycrow7683 Greetings from Italy, my friend
Doesn't matter who you are, when he hits that note before the third chorus, if it doesn't give you chills, you're not human
I didn't know which note you meant until it came up 🤩
It does give me a chill, and 1:57 has the opposite effect.
One of the best notes I’ve heard hit. It’s not just acrobatics to show off, it’s perfectly placed with the music as well.
Roy had something few male singers do, a four octave range. Yes, that is a chilling note he hits!
Lies again? Rome Roma Drive Jeep
Roy Orbison one of the most beautiful voices ever.
Roy is a legend, and his voice went further then even Elvis could manage.
2:17-2:30 Roy's voice is a miracle...Do you agree with me, fans?
100 percent. Even Elvis admired him.

2:47 - 2:52
Absolutely
One of the greatest voices to ever come from another human being and so widely regarded by all of his peers too 🙌
Elvis Presley publicly stated that Roy had the ' most perfect voice' and referring to him as the 'greatest singer in the world' during one of his Vegas concerts.
John Lennon once wrote.. Please, Please Me imagining Roy Orbison singing it
Upon Roy playing “Pretty Woman” to the Beatles on the tour bus, Paul McCartney said to the rest of the group “We’ve got to try and write one as good as that!”
You are sorely missed Roy 😥🙏
No tattoos no piercing or such no visible jewelleries !! Just two beautiful individuals pushing the boundaries of natural beauty ……
Lyrics:
I had to escape
The city was sticky and cruel
Maybe I should have called you first
But I was dying to get to you
I was dreaming while I drove the long straight road ahead, uh-huh, yeah
Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide
This fever for you was just burning me up inside
I drove all night to get to you
Is that all right?
I drove all night, crept in your room
Woke you from your sleep to make love to you
Is that all right?
I drove all night
What in this world
Keeps us from falling apart?
No matter where I go I hear
The beating of our one heart
I think about you when the night is cold and dark, uh-huh, yeah
No one can move me the way that you do
Nothing erases this feeling between me and you, oh
I drove all night to get to you
Is that all right?
I drove all night, crept in your room
Woke you from your sleep to make love to you
Is that all right?
I drove all night
Could taste your sweet kisses, your arms open wide
This fever for you was just burning me up inside
I drove all night to get to you
Is that all right?
I drove all night, crept in your room
Is that all right?
I drove all night...
I drove all night to get to you
Is that all right...
Thanks you.

Jason Priestley is soooo gorgeous. Amazing song that warms up your heart. I used to dream of love like that
Jason was soo fit back then.
Great choice of actors ❤
Jennifer Connelly isn’t bad either. 😉
Me too. Kind of special love
aww, does that mean you never found it?? :(
His voice. I don't even have the words to describe it. Just wonderful.
No one but no one can sing like Roy Orbison. That man can put chills down your spine. Unique.
TRUE
Jason and Jennifer look absolutley stunning back in the day, thes still do !
Possibly these days he'd drive all night then have to stop to remember where he was going.
I am so thankful that this album was salvaged, it would have been a crime to leave it unfinished. Roy was better than great, he was magical. This song always brings a tear to my eye. Gone far too soon, R.I.P.
AGREED! I read that Orbison was very self conscious and felt he was unattractive. I wish he could have seen what we see. ❤❤
So True on all counts💔!!!
I drove, after a morning shift from Manchester England, 550 miles on my motorcycle, to Arnhem Netherlands, in the winter in freezing fog, It was worth every freezing second. Still married, I'm a lucky guy.
That's nuts! I live in the city next to Arnhem, respect!❤

Lucky of you, our plans/expectations were killed more than twenty years ago.
His voice is just mind blowing!
He is among the most talented singers and has not been credited enough for his passion and dedication. Nothing nowadays makes music like this anymore, it is accurate, and it comes from somewhere
Roy's Music means Pure Emotions!!!!! RIP Sir!!!!
Agreed! You said it very well.
His voice was a gift from God
Roy was a great man who had a horrible life he lost his first wife then his children was in a fire two died he was such a kind person who loved music and life! he lived threw hell and nothing was ever easy for him born with bad eyesite and he didn't let it stop him he pushed on until his death at a young age. i loved Roy so much and i love the legacy of music he left for us!

Elvis was right! Roy Orbison had the greatest and most distinctive voice he had ever heard.
is that you King?
Totally
Greatest voice ever.
Dolores O'Riordan would have blew his mind then.
The beauty of Jennifer Connelly in this clip is unreal, the kind of sensual ghost that keeps you from sleeping, for sure.
so beautiful, like a dream
It's love and she is beautiful.
My god, Jason Priestly was fantastically gorgeous!
Totally. Those pale eyes and the beautiful worried eyebrows. In black and white, as he's driving the car. Definitely worth freeze-framing! Then when he smiles (still at the wheel) at 2'02". Wow!

@@dreamsunclesfeet I didn't say it:) I wrote clip is filled with emotions and energy of youth. And happy those people who felt it in their 16-25. Because when you become older everything is different, no that purity of consciousness and it's impossible to experience first love twice.

Natural beauty and real music, thank God I got to appreciate this!
What IS it about his voice? Something about the timbre, a kind of vulnerability... it just moves me to tears.
A beautiful voice for man and that my friend is a very rare thing indeed

Hard to explain but his voice seems to be from another place. The greatest singer of all time.
It's the beauty of the falsetto of his voice which brings out the yearning for someone that one longs for.

My favorite part. The high verse right after the solo. And the drums right after Roy goes up high.
He can smash out some great high notes and give me some good feelings.

This story made my day. Awesome.

Roy Orbison, amazing theme, and the videoclip with the beautiful Jennifer Connelly and Jason Priestley is fantastic.
That voice...❤❤❤❤ supernatural, heavenly
It was just a demo track that Roy knocked out for the songwriters who wrote the song with him in mind just before he died, then the tape was found and the instrumentation was added way after the fact, yet this version just rocks. Roy was such a nice guy, it is sad his life cut short, but at least he lived long enough to experience a return. The guy lived humble and without scandal. His wife recently passed, so they are together again (she never remarried). RIP Roy, you inspired so many.
