He won over because of the years and years of the country run over by his opposition however the country is still in poverty and more corruption, and people start to have false perception of his father's rule, That's why. hope someday the country would be run by someone that will truly provide change.

I would not call Ramos, Estrada, Arroyo, and Duterte to be oppositions to the Marcos family.
There was 24 years of presidential administrations that were implicitly supportive of the Marcoses, and only 12 years (Cory and Noynoy Aquino) of the opposition.
These results is what it is because of the vote-buying activities that were prevalent due to the existing poverty issue in most of the country.
You might think that the Department of Education, having the highest budget for 36 years would have done something to at least educate the Filipinos about contemporary issues in their country, but most of what students learn in school fades away, especially if it does not help them put food on the table in the fastest way possible.

Social media was also optimised by his opponents yet they lost big time. There are other bigger factors such as branding, strategy, legacy, and the failure of the anti-Marcoses:
    1) Branding: People were tired of decades of mudslinging between politicians instead of working. Marcos Jr and his team is consistent with their "unity" message. It was well communicated from mktg collaterals, to their refusal to trash talk their opponents. A total contrast of Robredo's camp "kakampink" portmanteau of "kakampi"(ally/faction) + pink(their campaign colour) which tapped to exclusivity, supported by their endless cancel-culture and snobbish behaviour.
    2) Strategy: Marcos is undeniably popular in northern Luzon and some parts of Visayas because of his Visayan ancestry but teaming up with Sara (Duterte's daughter) whose following was significantly huge in other parts of Visayas and majority of Mindanao, solidified Marcos' victory.
    3) Legacy: Infrastructures were one of Marcos Sr.'s famous legacy. Sure there maybe atrocities during his era but people value what they're experiencing first hand over claims by martial law victims who were total strangers to them. Big ticket infra-projects like Philippine Heart Center and Cultural centers that are still in operation today have direct touchpoints to the masses, and to see such infras to stand the test of time lone and unreplaced, connect them more to Marcos Sr. Additionally, Filipinos were also optimistic of Rodrigo Duterte's BBB infra program and among all those who ran, Marcos Jr. - Sara tandem was the most reasonable to continuity.
    4) Failure of the opposition: The Yellows had been in power since Marcos Sr. was ousted yet they failed to outperform the old man which stagnated if not worsened the situation, leaving the country fall behind its neighbouring nations in terms of technology, education, and economy. Even non-Filipinos could attest how terrible Philippines was especially during the 90s and 2010s when Yellows were at the peak of their power. Strengthening of the rebel groups, lost of territories, daily power interruptions, poor disaster risk management, unmaintained gov't buildings and properties, etc. The Yellows and other anti-Marcoses have been making accusations with either questionable or no data at all to support it.
    * Generally, Filipinos are tired of digging up the past and prefer to move forward with nation-building. Proud Catholics and forgiving-laughable to some but such trait is what made them unique and maintain harmonious diplomatic relations w/o enmity with countries that have offended them in the past such as Japan, Spain, and USA. Thus, the reason why anti-Marcos propaganda, which involves hatred and endless blaming, doesn't work at all.

I think, a more objective analysis of the topic is if you analyze how big the support base of both Bongbong and Sara, compared with Leny and Kiko, and the rest of the candidates. Bongbong’s support base encompasses 4 regions of the north: Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley, plus Leyte in Eastern Visayas, Imelda’s hometown; Sara’s support base is most of the regions of Mindanao plus Central Visayas and Eastern Visayas. The National Capital Region and Southern Tagalog has a divided vote. Leni’s and Kiko’s support base came only from Bicol and Western Visayas. These regions have their own reasons why they support each candidate and not necessarily due to online content influences. Better analyze these reasons.

I am a Filipino, in fact a Gen Z Filipino. I did not experience Martial Law, nor have I experienced the reign of Cory Aquino, but I have experienced the leadership of Cory's Son, Noynoy, and of course Marcos' name sake, Bongbong. I will do a fair comparison between Aquino, Duterte, and Marcos Jr.
During the time of Noynoy Aquino, I remember that I used to sell vegetables in the market, I was helping my mother to earn money. She did have work at a local State University, a government university. but for 3 years, her salary was always delayed by 6 months, yes 6 months. My father who did not earn much back then fed us during those 6 months and it came to the point when, I only ate prawn crackers or kropek. Our electricity was always cut, because we fail to pay on-time because salary wasn't on-time as well. There were constant power outages, in a week, power is constant only for 2 days but the following days, the power would turn on and off destroying some of our appliances.
But honestly, during the Time of Aquino, everything was more cheaper, but even if everything is cheaper, we still can't buy anything because of our monthly income. Considering that my mom works for the government, it shouldn't be like that. Not to mention, the crime and public order during Aquino's time is just bad. Criminals did not fear the law, you would see children eating out of dumpsters slums were reeking. Infrastructure was neglected, Terrorism is rampant, disaster response is terrible, corruption was way worse. But I do respect the man for the Philippines' growth rate of 8.5%, but we ordinary people did not feel that growth rate because of the many things aforementioned. We also lost the Scarborough Shoal because of Aquino's incompetence, his foreign policy is the worst. Our armed forces, though to be fair he did bought the current KAI-FA/50 Fighting Eagle for the airforce, but the Navy and the Army were very much neglected. The Navy did not have missile frigates, corvettes, landing dock platform. It was mostly comprised of Offshore Patrol Vessels.
When Duterte came, I gotta be honest, his foul mouth was his biggest downfall. But boy were we showered by government benefits and incentives, in 2017, it was the first time that our grocery bill exceeded 5 thousand pesos or $89. It was the first time in 7 years that have we filled our fridge with food. We renovated our home, we felt safer, Infrastructure was at its best, and public order was restored, the armed forces had an equipment boost, the army and the navy are slowly catching up. So much so, that the Philippines has more Navy Vessels than the UK. Look it up if you don't believe me. He helped stabilized our relations with China. albeit, Straining also the relationships we have with the rest of the world, but we did not lost a single territory during Duterte's reign.
Marcos Jr. strikes the perfect balance between Duterte and Aquino. His plans which is focused on Economic growth and a more professional approach towards making friends with the world is working. His anti-crime plans are rolling smoothly, under Marcos 1st year in office, he has been able to grow the economy fast. Brought in investors, and signed many infrastructure plans, smuggling slowed down, and terrorism is slowly fading away. Before you judge me, bare in mind. You should always look at the brighter side of things. So far Marcos Jr. Is doing great, and I hope he will continue to be great until the end of his term.

Even without the Internet or Social Media, filipinos OUTSIDE THE METRO MANILA area tells a different story. I highly doubt, what that lady whos telling "filipinos who chose to believe the lies", never got chance to see from other places in our country. Especially, Mindanao. I did once dream that someday I'm gonna work in that corporation where former Pres. Marcos, Sr. built (NSC-Nation'l Steel Corp) Many probably never heard of it. I have several friends' fathers who actually worked on that corporation, then it got dissolve and they were forced to go overseas just to work.

The sad part is that there are actually people, mostly seniors, who believe that Marcos can make the economy better than others can. Especially when he said that he wants to bring the price of rice down to 20 pesos per kilo. There's a difference between saying what you want to happen and doing something to make it happen. So far, the Marcos Jr Presidency is more about speeches, interviews, vlogs, granting favors to his allies, and parties.

So there were 2 top candidates.
      1. Leni Robredo = No executive leadership experience, badly lead her campaign, zero skills in diplomacy, known as indecisive, known as a liar who spoke in UN telling the world a number of drug related deaths which apparently a number for total deaths, she is marketed as a Saint lol😂 , marketed as Democracy symbol lol😂, she wants to control social media 🤣 and promises solutions to most social issues
      2. Ferdinand Marcos Jr - Son of the “western and liberal group dubbed “Dictator””, a lot of baggage, longest candidate with executive leadership experience, turned his province as South East Asia model of clean energy (wind), turned his province as one of the top ten regions, among 87 regions, with least magnitude of poor even tho their main industry is farming, he is a known believer of technocracy
If you are a technical person choosing someone to be a leader, of course you will choose Marcos. But if you are that someone who believes in HOPES and PRAYERs you will choose Leni Robredo.😂

For a long time, we Filipinos were taught or raised to despise Marcoses by the opposition, from the news that came from television, radio, newspapers, and even lectures in schools. They don't want the Marcoses to return to power, but they failed to bring the promise of the 1986 EDSA peoplepower while they were in power. For 30 years, we have always been promised and yet every election they fail. So people moved on and looked for a new leader who could fulfill that promise. Then, come the 2016 election, we found Duterte, a close ally of Marcoses. He gave the country a glimpse of its potential. So when BBM ran for president in 2022, Filipinos knew that BBM could continue what Duterte started. Now, to save their faces, the opposition is making a story that the Marcoses used social media platforms to their advantage, which is just a funny alibi. We all know that only 70% of Filipinos have access to the internet. In fact, the Philippines has the worst internet connection in Asia. They refuse to accept the real reason, which is that they failed to fulfill their promise after they ousted Marcos Sr. three decades ago. There was a big saying "ENOUGH is ENOUGH" and that's what really happened here.

It's just sad but annoying at the same time of the anti Marcoses. Trying to pull him down and making him explain the past. Martial law was in placed for a reason and those who opposed and rioted against it are the ones who refuse to have the Philippines move on to a better future. Marcose won due to his popularity and from his loyalists, whether it be social media or word of mouth. The fact is that Marcose won by a landslide and this entails how much the Philippines and its people are ready to move forward to a better future. The past is the past. No matter what BBM says the antiMarcoses will never be satisfied. Therefore, in order to see the Philippines begin to move to a better future, a president such as Bongbong Marcos, was much needed. Bongbong Marcos was the majority of the people's choice. Simple as that. Let his administration perform their duties. They have six years to fix the country and make it better for it's people and it's future.

Bongbong Marcos has so far been one of the presidents of all time in the PH. What does this mean? Well, it means that BBM is indeed not a dictator that the comment section wanted it turned out to be. Turns out, just because you are associated with someone by blood, it doesnt mean they would always act the same way.

The videos in 0:36 - 0:37 is not from President "Dictator" Marcos's term it was from President Cory's term (The president after the said "Dictator").
And also focus on Election on how they campaigned and the opposition campaigned. They (UNITEAM) wanted "UNITY" that was the very message of the campaign and the people loved it, and the if you look in the opposition campaigned they only criticize, insult and bring issue against the UNITEAM which is like a hate campaign, the people did not like that.

In fact, he was brilliant, but I will not argue that it was his demise because Filipinos loved him so much that every time he ran, he won the election, despite the fact that there was a strong opposition in the government, resulting in jealousy from ambitious politicians creating a plan to topple him.

    Dictator, dictator, dictator,
Now, how would you call US soldiers killed non-fighting civilians during the 1898-1911?
Well, ordinary sentry called the Filipinos they hunted like a rabbit, and killed them like a pig on the loose. Women , old and children were not spared. Attrocities may be forgiven but not absolutely forgotten. Now, how the US pays respect to the FIlipinos? simple by calling them and make them an attack dogs for their wars:)
