As a Libertarian bordering on anarchist, I would tend to agree. However... the DEA was a little too hands off with oxy, and that didn't turn out to well for America... I hate to admit it, but drug companies are always playing in the gray "ethically" that is, and the only tool we have is the government (vomits). Painful to type that...
@@josephottey1890Honestly, doctors need to step up and be responsible. It was irresponsible doctors over prescribing oxy. Pharmaceutics companies were also at fault for misleading advertising. Also doctors were being paid by companies to prescribe more of the drug. These issues can all be resolved without the DEA.

So even though the number of people taking these medications has increased, partially due to it being a really good treatment for people like me with narcolepsy as well as chronic fatigue syndrome, the DEA will not allow pharmaceutical companies to produce more than they currently are. So you have more people taking the drug, which started a shortage and the DEA not only refusing to increase how much the pharmaceutical companies can make, but they have also eliminated certain players that make this medication, thus making the shortage worse than ever.

I gain access to my meds on a channel on telegram an they give me supply of my medication every month with no issues for over 9 months now.
But I can anyone update with them.
I have trouble every month trying to find a pharmacy with my Adderol.

I got cut off my hydrocodone and had to go to a pain doctor and it was far away and it was all BS. So I stopped going. I was terrified of the withdrawals.

I'm only shuffling to the bathroom and back to the chair by the bed , I hurt to sit on my repaired right hip. It's not lined up very well. Then, my right knee has been bolted together with a bent flat bar to hold it . Anyway ,the sncle below or knee don't have much bend left. I've had a separator thing done between vertebrae, I'm hunchback more and more. This is made much worse by shaking from the pain going from Oxy to hydro, then less dosages. I'm glad I saved a few to get to the hospital later.

I swear, at least with the generics, there has been less active ingredient and more fillers since the shortage.
I recently got back on amphetamine salts after being off for a few years and the new adderall is off and not consistent with each pill. I’ve had a few generics that I had before and they’ve made me sick and have pretty bad side effects.
The only brand that I’ve found that I can at least get some effect and not have side effects is the Teva generic. It’s weak as hell since I was prescribed the same manufacturer around 2019/2020.
I thought I was imaging it at first and noticed that some pills I would get an actual dose of medicine and others would basically be placebo pills.
I had two full 20mg 90/bottle of medicine from before I got off and the difference is completely night and day. Every pill of the old scripts works like it should; and I probably get 1 good pill out of 6 with this new Teva bullshit.
I used to also take Sandoz with no issues and was even more effective than Teva. Now the Sandoz literally just gives me a bad headache, stomach ache, and makes me feel like I want to unalive myself.
I know what tolerance feels like and this is not that, especially when taking the 2019 medication compared to the 2024.
I read that apparently legally there is an acceptable 20% that can be off with generics compared to the name brand. My guess is they’re adding less active ingredient and more nasty fillers. It’s bullshit and makes the customer/patient feel like they’re crazy because the medication they’ve been prescribed for 20ish years all of a sudden stopped working, then the pharmacists and doctors look at you like a dope fiend for saying your meds don’t work.
I’m probably just going to get back off the shit.
I wish I had some more old pills I could test against the new pills but I don’t even know if I could do that…
