Adderall knocked me out right away! I felt sooo tired. After an hour nap, i woke up refreshed, anxiety free, relaxed, and able to have a normal paced conversation and i didnt blurt/but in 5000 times!! So that was interesting. I kind of felt like I was put on hyper slow mode, but i matched up with other people, and was able to follow conversations better.
My husband is addicted to Adderall. He does NOT have adhd. He runs out in two weeks, then gets stimulant pills off the streets until he can refill. His anger and rage is insane. He becomes extremely verbally and emotionally abusive. I've tried to get him to get clean for almost a decade. Now I'm just scared he's going to die. He's 46. 😢
as the other user said, if they are buying pills off the street, is not "probably" meth. IT IS METH, there is a 0% chance this is even a mixture of amphetamines and methamphetamines, especially in the US (if you're here) methamphetamine runs rampant. He needs serious help
Adderall and methamphetamine are not the same drug, but if you take enough Adderall, you will definitely feel high. It's not the same as meth, but the feeling is similar. I started with 5 mg instant release, and over time, the dosage was increased to 30 mg XR. Eventually, I began taking two pills at a time, then progressed to three, and eventually, I developed a serious meth problem that lasted for a few years. However, I am now sober. I'm not saying this will happen to everyone, but it could happen to you. Adderall is a very powerful stimulant with a high potential for abuse. If you have an addictive personality, be very careful, and be honest with yourself and your doctor.

I thought I was so fucked up I started to selfmedicate with drugs including street amphetamine (luckily not meth) but always relapsed into speed, after three rehabs people figured out I had adhd and gave me 15mg adderal/dextro-amphetamine. Loved the Adderall for my ADHD symptoms . Was taking 15 mg XR but started to develop symptoms of high blood pressure and my blood pressures were hovering in the 94/95 in the diastolic number (bottom number). Didn’t take it today and my diastolic pressures are in the low 70’s. Such a bummer :( No wonder I felt like my chest was being squeezed

I take 20 mg of adderall xr once a day, and it doesn't last 10 to 12 hours. Sometimes, it only lasts a few hours. The dosage I take is really not that much. Some days it works better than others.
Do you have a high metabolism? I've tried Ritalin, Concerta, and Adderall. They work at most for 2hrs, which is a bummer. Also, my genetics makes it so I can only take a low dose otherwise it won't work at all.
I've been taking it for years and it REALLY helps... its very obvious when it starts to take effect and really helps me to live my life. But... I get ALL of the side effects, in spades. The worst side effects that weren't even mentioned in this video are it's affect on your vision... it can give you blurry vision, double vision, etc... which can then lead to headaches, etc... The blurry vision is really annoying because, I suddenly have the focus to get stuff done but... I'm having trouble seeing well enough to actually do it. lol

Didt he dr tell you the importance of taking a "vacation" off the meds? If you skip taking them for a few days, it seems to reset and start working again. I find the adderall xr makes me very noise/sound/smell sensitive and p*sses me off/very crabby.

Yeah, when eating, eating is gonna be like an exercise. It's really hard but you gotta eat very slow and taking your time to finish the plate. You could even use your phone while eating if you're impatient.

I have been taking 10 mg of XR for 4 years. I never adjust my prescription, as I do not think it is healthy. It’s a tool, not a way to escape your problems. It doesn’t have the same powerful affect on me as before but the trick is to never to chase that.
I was recently upped to 30mg twice a day. I feel like a monster all the time. I feel just bad all the time. I get agitated so easily over stupid shit all the time. I don’t know why or how to stop it. When I’m off adderall all I want to do is sleep. Idk what to do. I feel lost.
Bro with the irritability problem.. I feel you. I don't take near as much as you do but suggest talking to a doctor about lowering it and dealing with the effects of not having as much as you're normally used to.
@@micahsartori5079 so I think the issue was that I went 3-4 weeks without (insurance issue ofc) and then when I got them right away I started taking two a day. I first stopped taking them but i was so exhausted I took one pill one day and on just one I would get a little irritated but not to the extent I was. so I took only one a day for a full week and then took two and now it seems to be fine. i’m not sure if that 3-4 week gap factored in to those side effects but taking two right away was too much for sure.
I am so sorry. I think it has increased my depression as well. Consider lowering your dose. No sleep also causes depression and agitation - take it earlier in the day - and turn off your media lol. Good luck.

I had been on This medication since 2004 were extreme ADD And it has literally changed my life enabled enabled me to keep a job however when I take my morning dose I get sleepy afterwards for about an hour or 2 is that normal
I seem to be very sensitive to stimulants. I started taking adderall 10mg XR once a day in the morning. It calmed my mind and helped me with focus and motivation/organization. And helped prevent me from getting overwhelmed and less emotional dysregulation. However.... i found I was not getting good sleeps at night and i had a lot of heart pain and chest pressure. It also really heightened my anxiety due to lack of sleep. I nearly had a panic attack. I stopped taking it for 3 days then i took it again today and felt good. So maybe my dose is too high or i should take breaks some days?
Hi There! I hope that things have smoothed themselves out with those side effects. It can take a while for the chemical and your brain to adjust to one another, so keep going through. Also, you'll find that that Adderall can simply exacerbate how you feel in that moment (I had this with panic and heart racing at the beginning). A nice positive may be that you get a massive boost of libido and desire with it. But everyone is so different. All good?
Adderall is the best I’ve found! Due to the low amount levels and my high sensitivity it can keep me at a good level without going overboard unlike Vyvanse which caused a sever depression and suicidal thoughts
So often doctors talk like we all have access to a doctor, as if we had some kind of national health care or something. Until we do here in the US, I have no problem sharing Adderall with people who think it might help them.

I’m a case study as I started this when it wasn’t common, when I was 7. I’m now 17 and the long term effects are terrible, I will also say that I did become addicted to it. My doctor kinda let me just move my dosage whenever I wanted to and I would often up my dosage. On top of this I would also take multiple a day. I still take it today but now I take what’s recommended by my doctor. Genuinely when I’m not feeling good it’s hard not to reach for those pills, really showing how addictive it can be. I really think putting me on it so early really wasn’t a good idea either.

I tried Adderall 1 time last week . It was my very first time. I was prescribed Adderall XR 20 mg. I was ok for a bit but later on I was so messed up. I couldn’t sleep at all that night. I just stayed up. I tried so hard to sleep with no luck. The next day I felt like CRAP! I had a headache, I felt nauseous, and I felt weak and dehydrated. It felt like a horrible hang over. I ended up not sleeping for 38 1/2 hours. I will NEVER take this med again. I’m not sure what happened but I will not turn to that med again. If anyone has a clue why it did that to me please let me know.
I think the dr should have started u on an IMMEDIATE release if it was the first time it was prescribed. Sometimes those long acting or XR forms do NOT work as well or the same as the IMMEDIATE RELEASE. I tried several XR meds but same result...I feel impaired, and ANGRY from no sleep, yet if I take 10 mg IMMEDIATE release 30 min before bed....I SLEEP. It figures....God forbid something should make sense with ADHD! SIGH... Don't give up. Find the right dr, get your dose figured out and find a mom and pop pharmacy to get your meds each month. STAY AWAY FROM CVS, WALGREENS, COSTCO, ETC. Those big commercial pharmacies like to discriminate and withhold meds like this and they treat u like dog dirt! Best of luck to you. One side effect not mentioned is depression! Adderall(Amphetamine)releases chemically dopamine, once that happens, your brain chemistry is not going to be the same anymore, or takes time to recover depending on dosage and length of usage. Addiction is nearly impossible to overcome if used frequently. It is very similar to a cocaine addiction. Be aware there is never an effect without a side effect. Mood swings and depression are highly common!
Yeah you can. Your medical history of being diagnosed should be in a database accessed by any doctor. Should be relatively easy from there. I was diagnosed as kid. Went off for awhile, got an adult real doc, was pretty easy to get back on bc of my medical history records.

That’s probably though cause youve been doing it consistently. Even if its two days. Or you have no tolerance and they aren’t REALLY yours so the dose of 20 mg XR for two days can do that, or they are your who cares but With no food, im guessing very little water, (I drink a gallon or more sometimes a day cause im on the same dose as XR as you) you literally should be eating some breads or carbs with it, you HAVE to sleep at some point like see, ill let the one wear off that might be 2 am til 10 pm that night and its just me working nonstop since im my own boss i can get away with that. I also noticed, how do people take this WITHOUT Xanax on stand by? I mean im on 3 bars a day, legit too, but i learnt my lesson in the first 3 weeks of getting the script so now i take 1 or 2 squares of the 4 squares that equal 2 mg on the Xanax bar. But without it, i cant lie id probably be like you right now as ive JUST started taking it again myself. But if you like weed! And have a tolerance, well you can start with such a small amount, but i put RSO (im in NJ so right now im using the AVEXIA G PURPS Dablicator, which the dablicator makes it look like an ink pen, and you can also dose it properly with the Max line dose being only 3 clicks. So if you find RSO go for the dablicator ones, AVEXIA is the best price and also regarded as the best on the market, especially newer batches, as you WOULD NOT have these side effects with this RSO) that being said, its due to the high CBN content, and if your worried about being too high, look into RSO for real, and just dont take over the dosage on the package or the red line max line on the dablicator, ive been using it and its life changing its actually gotten me to the point i dont even need the Xanax a lot of times. And its got the perfect pain relieving properties and just overall benefits one could greatly use while on adderall. For example, after this, im going to eat some pancakes or waffles and yogurt, but that’s because now i become hungry when i take it. I pop the top off the adderall and just put the rso glob in it, shut it, boom, good to go. My mom never was a weed smoker, and it got her off narcotics and she uses it now to sleep and rest and be happy and not in pain mainly, but she cut out all the pills from RSO. Sadly, only 2 years of adderall and taking it the right way too got to her heart, so she knows she cant take the adderall, therefore say a sativa or hybrid rso works well for her or me (example: orange soda strain RSO by AVEXIA/VERANO is amazing if you are on adderall or need a replacement) and i know what many think its just weed, well RSO is like eating the entire plant. Its unexplainable because if i hit my wax pen right now ill be high, if i stay with rso all day, my eyes dont really even get red. And no cotton mouth all day. Literally just benefits on benefits. So when I take it, I feel fine but it makes me sleepy a little bit, however now that I can focus I find myself getting sensitive to noises and smells, it’s like now that I can concentrate so much better and I’m not in my head so much I’m experiencing autism like symptoms. Before when I would get overstimulated I would just get really frustrated but now I start to get anxious and feel the need to cover my ears and escape the situation because loud noises can cause me to become overwhelmed. I am here now because I wanted to see if I should go get tested for autism, I had wanted to see if that was a normal response to the medication.

Eh, I live with an American who's addicted to adderall and smoking weed, and seems to do some weird stuff. 1) For starts, he works out in the garden, and even though there's a heatwave outside, he has a clothes heater on to dry his t-shirts. Another house mate asked him about it, and he said he's worried about germs, so throughout his workout he goes to the bathroom and changes into a dry t-shirt --- hanging the sweaty one up in the dryer (so even though he's afraid of germs, it remains unwashed, and he's likely to wear it again). 2). His general attitude towards dirt and germs is strange, if not a little deranged at times; visible dirt is ok, but invisible germs are a source of alarm and anxiety. (3 good dirt), When I moved in, I thought we could do with updating a few old kitchen utensils. A chopping board and an oven glove were (and still are) both covered in mold, so I suggested throwing them out for some new ones. I said 'they're covered in mold', he said 'but thats the good kind of mold.' So they've since stayed, together in unison with piles of used nicotine chewing gums and hydration drink bottles which collect together until one or another house mate has the gumption to clean up, which he then considers 'dis-organized.' So the list goes on in terms of hoarding and hypochondria, I just wonder if it would all pass if he decided to quit.
That’s pretty bizarre. Sounds similar to my brother, he has been smoking weed everyday since he was 12 and then was addicted to opiates for a while. I used to smoke weed when I was younger but happy I quit. I think his mind didn’t fully develop and he has gotten so into his head that he has his own warped ways of thinking. He does some odd things. I think he is getting better though now
I was prescribed it for adult ADHD and accidentally lost 20 lbs because it helped control my appetite and focus on my workouts lol. Theres almost no downside, I got promoted at work, helped with my marriage, and improved almost every aspect of my life. I just wish I would have known I had ADHD sooner than my 30's.

I have been in adderall XR for a few months. My body seemed to metabolize the medicine quickly within a week. Then I’m up in my dosage again, then I’m taking it twice a day because of how fast I metabolize it, I’m up to 30 mg a day 25 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon and same as before, now I just feel like a sleepy zombie and I have no drive, focus or energy. :/
It really upsets me that these doctors and other people keep saying this garbage about drug abuse. Everytime I saw a doctor or talked to someone about adhd I got this response and it made me turn away from care. If someone is abusing the drug, then you can handle that, but telling everyone and scaring those who need this treatment away is not right. Doctors are not law enforcement, your their to help people with problems. I would also recommend anyone thinking you have this problem go straight o a psychiatrist and psychologist, because a DO or Priamry care doctor don’t know what they are talking about and will likely, like this doctor, focus priamripy on scaring you away with drug abuse talk, and everything else. What should occur, “let’s try to figure out why you think you need adderall” or “let’s try to figure out why your so fatigue. I’ll order a psychological evaluation” don’t say stuff like “they’ll know if you fake the test” or “I had adhd my whole life and it’s not something to abuse drugs for” if someone recognizes they have adhd don’t dismiss it. 20 years of trouble in my life and it could have been prevented without all this bull shit.
Initially u may deal with headaches if u dont take it with a high protein meal...n the dry mouth is annoying...but after a couple weeks ur body adjusts to it u may find problems with insomina if u dont take it early in the morning...also the worse thing is u will feel pretty horny n will start looking at p0rn a lot n that can totally destroy ur concentration on studying/working if ur the impulsive ADD type. For me its not addictive...I actually wish I didnt need to take it to help me to overcome my ADD n reading disorder so I can focus n study for exams. As soon as Im done with studying, I stop taking adderall.
Okay. So I have type 2 narcolepsy. I've started taking adderall prescribed to me by a doctor once I took a sleep study and have already after 6 days of being on it I've noticed slight negative changes. These include being way more irritable and not nearly as hungry like I usually am. I'll talk to my doctor about it in a month once my system is cleared from any THC they found in it last time. I haven't noticed any positive changes yet but do know everyone different and can feel the full effect at different times depending on the person. I just want to know someone else thoughts on my matter.
ayyyeee narcolepsy fam! :D i have narcolepsy with cataplexy i highly recommend providgil/modafinil. i was prescribed adderall in college for my narcolepsy and i too was irritable but my major issue was the tolerance. after only a week the 15 mgs i was prescribed barely did anything to keep me awake anymore which was nothing short of terrifying! ask about providgil, it will keep you feeling refreshed and awake and alert! but; it doesnt have any of the cool effects of being clear minded and focused like adderall does, so you will need to work on that on your own. my doctor and i have also worked out a very strict diet filled with tons of brain food like honey, tuna, whole grains etc for more long lasting energy which helped immensely when it comes to my brain fatigue. alot of insurances dont cover modafinil without a recent sleep study (i had almost all of my sleep studies done between age 18-22) so to avoid getting a new sleep study i would try to use buzz RX to get coverage because they cover over 95% of the cost.

Stimuent can cause depression depend on person. My doctor have been prescribed very minimum dose of stimulent for ADHD symptom. Fix the symptom and achieve with your own desire. i love adderall so much, all it does is make me a genius and good at my job, i hate that i cant just take it, ironically i do have narcolepsy with cataplexy but i take providgil which works better for my condition but adderall just literally makes me the best art director ever. when i was prescribed adderall in college for my narcolepsy there was a major issue of tolerance, after only 1 week the 15 mgs seemed to no longer work and i couldnt get a new assessment done for new meds until my 30 day script was finished and it was vital i switched it to providgil immediately, but i do miss the incredible focus i had when i was using adderall.

Man… vyvanse really helps me focus and calms me down. I have gained 20lbs switching from adderall 20mg 2x/day to 30mg vyvanse 1x/day + 5 mg adderall on long work days. I can literally drink a cup of coffee, take a 5 mg adderall and fall asleep. I’m adhd like a mother fucker. It’s so important to take drug vacations. At least 2 days off a week. Otherwise you have to keep increasing the dose.

Within 6 months of adderall that's all gone. She lost all conflict resolution abilities and only wants to win the argument at all costs. I was more pleasant, I was more optimistic, and my overall disposition improved because of Adderall. Not only did I become a much better writer but the creative part of my brain accelerated 10 years! I did this too. I got to the point I did better without it. It did good for a while, it opened my eyes to nerotypical behaviors and made me realize a lot of things I never thought about.
I stopped taking it cause I noticed I did better without it. I am happier now. Less depressed. Wife is happier with me off it. The side effects sucked
ADHD person here, I was suffering hardcore. My room looked like it would violate many health codes and I just never cared enough for proper hygiene, plus I always struggled to say stuff without messing up my words. Adderall knocked me out right away! I felt sooo tired. After an hour nap, i woke up refreshed, anxiety free, relaxed, and able to have a normal paced conversation and i didnt blurt/but in 5000 times!! So that was interesting. I kind of felt like I was put on hyper slow mode, but i matched up with other people, and was able to follow conversations better.

Adderall and methamphetamine are not the same drug, but if you take enough Adderall, you will definitely feel high. It's not the same as meth, but the feeling is similar. I started with 5 mg instant release, and over time, the dosage was increased to 30 mg XR. Eventually, I began taking two pills at a time, then progressed to three, and eventually, I developed a serious meth problem that lasted for a few years. However, I am now sober. I'm not saying this will happen to everyone, but it could happen to you. Adderall is a very powerful stimulant with a high potential for abuse. If you have an addictive personality, be very careful, and be honest with yourself and your doctor.

I thought I was so fucked up I started to selfmedicate with drugs including street amphetamine (luckily not meth) but always relapsed into speed, after three rehabs people figured out I had adhd and gave me 15mg adderal/dextro-amphetamine. Was taking 15 mg XR but started to develop symptoms of high blood pressure and my blood pressures were hovering in the 94/95 in the diastolic number (bottom number). Didn’t take it today and my diastolic pressures are in the low 70’s. Such a bummer :( No wonder I felt like my chest was being squeezed

This is a side effect that basically everyone gets on stimulants. It raises blood pressure and heart rate.

I take 20 mg of adderall xr once a day, and it doesn't last 10 to 12 hours. Sometimes, it only lasts a few hours. The dosage I take is really not that much. Some days it works better than others.
Adderal XR doesn't do shit for me. Lasts like 4 hours.
Do you have a high metabolism? I've tried Ritalin, Concerta, and Adderall. They work at most for 2hrs, which is a bummer. Also, my genetics makes it so I can only take a low dose otherwise it won't work at all.
I've been taking it for years and it REALLY helps... its very obvious when it starts to take effect and really helps me to live my life. But... I get ALL of the side effects, in spades. The worst side effects that weren't even mentioned in this video are it's affect on your vision... it can give you blurry vision, double vision, etc... which can then lead to headaches, etc... The blurry vision is really annoying because, I suddenly have the focus to get stuff done but... I'm having trouble seeing well enough to actually do it. lol

Didt he dr tell you the importance of taking a "vacation" off the meds? If you skip taking them for a few days, it seems to reset and start working again. I find the adderall xr makes me very noise/sound/smell sensitive and p*sses me off/very crabby.

I was diagnosed with ADHD. My doctor started me on 5mg a day and it did nothing, made me less focused. She upped me to 10mg a day, now I can’t form a coherent thought and am getting jittery. It’s frustrating to see everyone else say it works right away, while I’ve been screwing around for over a month and things have only gotten worse.

I have been taking 10 mg of XR for 4 years. I never adjust my prescription, as I do not think it is healthy. It’s a tool, not a way to escape your problems. It doesn’t have the same powerful affect on me as before but the trick is to never to chase that.

@@micahsartori5079 so I think the issue was that I went 3-4 weeks without (insurance issue ofc) and then when I got them right away I started taking two a day.
I first stopped taking them but i was so exhausted I took one pill one day and on just one I would get a little irritated but not to the extent I was. so I took only one a day for a full week and then took two and now it seems to be fine.
i’m not sure if that 3-4 week gap factored in to those side effects but taking two right away was too much for sure.

I had been on This medication since 2004 were extreme ADD And it has literally changed my life enabled enabled me to keep a job however when I take my morning dose I get sleepy afterwards for about an hour or 2 is that normal

I seem to be very sensitive to stimulants. I started taking adderall 10mg XR once a day in the morning. It calmed my mind and helped me with focus and motivation/organization. And helped prevent me from getting overwhelmed and less emotional dysregulation. However.... i found I was not getting good sleeps at night and i had a lot of heart pain and chest pressure. It also really heightened my anxiety due to lack of sleep. I nearly had a panic attack.
I stopped taking it for 3 days then i took it again today and felt good.
So maybe my dose is too high or i should take breaks some days?
Should have your heart checked , if you experience chest pain from this medication there’s a good chance you could have an underlying heart condition.
Hi There! I hope that things have smoothed themselves out with those side effects. It can take a while for the chemical and your brain to adjust to one another, so keep going through. Also, you'll find that that Adderall can simply exacerbate how you feel in that moment (I had this with panic and heart racing at the beginning). A nice positive may be that you get a massive boost of libido and desire with it. But everyone is so different. All good?
Adderall is the best I’ve found! Due to the low amount levels and my high sensitivity it can keep me at a good level without going overboard unlike Vyvanse which caused a sever depression and suicidal thoughts
So often doctors talk like we all have access to a doctor, as if we had some kind of national health care or something. Until we do here in the US, I have no problem sharing Adderall with people who think it might help them.
100% - attaining a diagnosis for ADHD is hell at the moment, I was told to wait 7 months for a $5,000 Neuropsych exam before even discussing a diagnosis.

OK by me if I am in a clinical trial. It has been a game changer for my life.
I’m a case study as I started this when it wasn’t common, when I was 7. I’m now 17 and the long term effects are terrible, I will also say that I did become addicted to it. My doctor kinda let me just move my dosage whenever I wanted to and I would often up my dosage. On top of this I would also take multiple a day. I still take it today but now I take what’s recommended by my doctor. Genuinely when I’m not feeling good it’s hard not to reach for those pills, really showing how addictive it can be. I really think putting me on it so early really wasn’t a good idea either.

I tried Adderall 1 time last week . It was my very first time. I was prescribed Adderall XR 20 mg. I was ok for a bit but later on I was so messed up. I couldn’t sleep at all that night. I just stayed up. I tried so hard to sleep with no luck. The next day I felt like CRAP! I had a headache, I felt nauseous, and I felt weak and dehydrated. It felt like a horrible hang over. I ended up not sleeping for 38 1/2 hours. I will NEVER take this med again. I’m not sure what happened but I will not turn to that med again. If anyone has a clue why it did that to me please let me know.

I think the dr should have started u on an IMMEDIATE release if it was the first time it was prescribed. Sometimes those long acting or XR forms do NOT work as well or the same as the IMMEDIATE RELEASE. I tried several XR meds but same result...I feel impaired, and ANGRY from no sleep, yet if I take 10 mg IMMEDIATE release 30 min before bed....I SLEEP.
It figures....God forbid something should make sense with ADHD! SIGH...
Don't give up. Find the right dr, get your dose figured out and find a mom and pop pharmacy to get your meds each month. STAY AWAY FROM CVS, WALGREENS, COSTCO, ETC.
Those big commercial pharmacies like to discriminate and withhold meds like this and they treat u like dog dirt!

One side effect not mentioned is depression! Adderall(Amphetamine)releases chemically dopamine, once that happens, your brain chemistry is not going to be the same anymore, or takes time to recover depending on dosage and length of usage. Addiction is nearly impossible to overcome if used frequently. It is very similar to a cocaine addiction. Be aware there is never an effect without a side effect. Mood swings and depression are highly common!

Yeah you can. Your medical history of being diagnosed should be in a database accessed by any doctor. Should be relatively easy from there. I was diagnosed as kid. Went off for awhile, got an adult real doc, was pretty easy to get back on bc of my medical history records.

And have a tolerance, well you can start with such a small amount, but i put RSO (im in NJ so right now im using the AVEXIA G PURPS Dablicator, which the dablicator makes it look like an ink pen, and you can also dose it properly with the Max line dose being only 3 clicks. So if you find RSO go for the dablicator ones, AVEXIA is the best price and also regarded as the best on the market, especially newer batches, as you WOULD NOT have these side effects with this RSO) that being said, its due to the high CBN content, and if your worried about being too high, look into RSO for real, and just dont take over the dosage on the package or the red line max line on the dablicator, ive been using it and its life changing its actually gotten me to the point i dont even need the Xanax a lot of times. So when I take it, I feel fine but it makes me sleepy a little bit, however now that I can focus I find myself getting sensitive to noises and smells, it’s like now that I can concentrate so much better and I’m not in my head so much I’m experiencing autism like symptoms. Before when I would get overstimulated I would just get really frustrated but now I start to get anxious and feel the need to cover my ears and escape the situation because loud noises can cause me to become overwhelmed. I am here now because I wanted to see if I should go get tested for autism, I had wanted to see if that was a normal response to the medication.

Hi all, I have been using Amoxetine 18mg for about 10 days and I am starting to get excited as I am noticing MAJOR differences to little things such as closing a cabinet door, clear and concise conversations. Eh, I live with an American who's addicted to adderall and smoking weed, and seems to do some weird stuff. 1) For starts, he works out in the garden, and even though there's a heatwave outside, he has a clothes heater on to dry his t-shirts. Another house mate asked him about it, and he said he's worried about germs, so throughout his workout he goes to the bathroom and changes into a dry t-shirt --- hanging the sweaty one up in the dryer (so even though he's afraid of germs, it remains unwashed, and he's likely to wear it again). 2). His general attitude towards dirt and germs is strange, if not a little deranged at times; visible dirt is ok, but invisible germs are a source of alarm and anxiety. (3 good dirt), When I moved in, I thought we could do with updating a few old kitchen utensils. A chopping board and an oven glove were (and still are) both covered in mold, so I suggested throwing them out for some new ones. I said 'they're covered in mold', he said 'but thats the good kind of mold.' So they've since stayed, together in unison with piles of used nicotine chewing gums and hydration drink bottles which collect together until one or another house mate has the gumption to clean up, which he then considers 'dis-organized.' So the list goes on in terms of hoarding and hypochondria, I just wonder if it would all pass if he decided to quit.
That’s pretty bizarre. Sounds similar to my brother, he has been smoking weed everyday since he was 12 and then was addicted to opiates for a while. I used to smoke weed when I was younger but happy I quit. I think his mind didn’t fully develop and he has gotten so into his head that he has his own warped ways of thinking. He does some odd things. I think he is getting better though now

I have been in adderall XR for a few months. My body seemed to metabolize the medicine quickly within a week. Then I’m up in my dosage again, then I’m taking it twice a day because of how fast I metabolize it, I’m up to 30 mg a day 25 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon and same as before, now I just feel like a sleepy zombie and I have no drive, focus or energy. :/
It really upsets me that these doctors and other people keep saying this garbage about drug abuse. Everytime I saw a doctor or talked to someone about adhd I got this response and it made me turn away from care. If someone is abusing the drug, then you can handle that, but telling everyone and scaring those who need this treatment away is not right. Doctors are not law enforcement, your their to help people with problems. I would also recommend anyone thinking you have this problem go straight o a psychiatrist and psychologist, because a DO or Priamry care doctor don’t know what they are talking about and will likely, like this doctor, focus priamripy on scaring you away with drug abuse talk, and everything else. What should occur, “let’s try to figure out why you think you need adderall” or “let’s try to figure out why your so fatigue. I’ll order a psychological evaluation” don’t say stuff like “they’ll know if you fake the test” or “I had adhd my whole life and it’s not something to abuse drugs for” if someone recognizes they have adhd don’t dismiss it. 20 years of trouble in my life and it could have been prevented without all this bull shit.
Initially u may deal with headaches if u dont take it with a high protein meal...n the dry mouth is annoying...but after a couple weeks ur body adjusts to it u may find problems with insomina if u dont take it early in the morning...also the worse thing is u will feel pretty horny n will start looking at p0rn a lot n that can totally destroy ur concentration on studying/working if ur the impulsive ADD type.
For me its not addictive...I actually wish I didnt need to take it to help me to overcome my ADD n reading disorder so I can focus n study for exams. As soon as Im done with studying, I stop taking adderall.
I have made it so that I only take my meds before i am going to be working for 4-6 hours. pre-tasking helps. I like to start a task and then take it.
Okay. So I have type 2 narcolepsy. I've started taking adderall prescribed to me by a doctor once I took a sleep study and have already after 6 days of being on it I've noticed slight negative changes. These include being way more irritable and not nearly as hungry like I usually am. I'll talk to my doctor about it in a month once my system is cleared from any THC they found in it last time. I haven't noticed any positive changes yet but do know everyone different and can feel the full effect at different times depending on the person. I just want to know someone else thoughts on my matter.
ayyyeee narcolepsy fam! :D i have narcolepsy with cataplexy i highly recommend providgil/modafinil. i was prescribed adderall in college for my narcolepsy and i too was irritable but my major issue was the tolerance. after only a week the 15 mgs i was prescribed barely did anything to keep me awake anymore which was nothing short of terrifying! ask about providgil, it will keep you feeling refreshed and awake and alert! but; it doesnt have any of the cool effects of being clear minded and focused like adderall does, so you will need to work on that on your own.
my doctor and i have also worked out a very strict diet filled with tons of brain food like honey, tuna, whole grains etc for more long lasting energy which helped immensely when it comes to my brain fatigue. alot of insurances dont cover modafinil without a recent sleep study (i had almost all of my sleep studies done between age 18-22) so to avoid getting a new sleep study i would try to use buzz RX to get coverage because they cover over 95% of the cost.

I was on reddlin as a kid then they swapped me to Adderall when it became the norm. I started refusing it and went on with life never taking it again. My adult life in my 30s I have seriously bad problems self medicating and I am just so low and blah. Within 6 months of adderall that's all gone. She lost all conflict resolution abilities and only wants to win the argument at all costs. I was more pleasant, I was more optimistic, and my overall disposition improved because of Adderall. Not only did I become a much better writer but the creative part of my brain accelerated 10 years! I don't recommend it for kids and unproductive teenagers - it's the perfect cure for adults.
