    New gladiator owner. Ordered these but the included instructions were not very good. This video, however, made it easy. One note: my transmission side didn’t want to raise up enough to get the Allen wrench on the head so had to completely undo the backside. No problem at all. Thanks for the video. And for those of y’all asking, his reaction is accurate. MASSIVE difference in comfort. Heading out on a 6 hr trip tomorrow and looking forward to it. High quality too. Easily worth the $100.

    I can’t believe I ordered the shorty front seat jackers from DesertDoesIt 😊.
    I installed 1” ‘pucks” (that’s what they were called back then) on my 2006 TJ Rubicon immediately after purchase and now 16 years later noticed the same leg and back pain issue with my newly purchased 2023 JL Rubicon. I couldn’t believe it… 😊 In the new JL it even feels like I’m sliding out of the seat forward. I’m 6’ with 32” inseam. After some research I came across these seat ‘jackers’ and saw your video and a few others. I still couldn’t believe it that Jeep engineers missed this issue…
    Anyway… I’m looking forward to seeing the delivery and a successful install. I’m almost certain the Shorty Front Seat Jackers will do the ‘trick’.
    Thank you for the video and God bless.

      I completely agree, it's like Jeep missed the boat on this for sure. You're going to like them for sure in your JL. Let me know how you like them.

      Right! It's like the rushed the gladiator into production and missed some fine details (headrest angles are bad too lol)
      Thanks for replying back, I'm curious how they work for everyone else.

      @@TXJeepDadI agree, the headrest is horrible. The angle is so aggressive I feel like it’s pushing my head down. I just spun it around and that took care of it.

    Every car I have had with power seats I always put the front all the way up and the rear all the way down. I'm picking up my LJ tomorrow and am tempted to order these before I even get any miles on it. So far I only had a short test drive. I'll actually probably wait since these are not cheap, but all evidence points to an order in the near future. I'm 5' 10" so I'll probably go with the shortys as well. Thanks for the vid.

    Similar issue with my truck's seat. If you're taller, it's going to also hurt your lower back. Luckily they came out with a RAM 1500 kit, will be installing a set on my Rebel's drivers seat soon, excellent video.

    I did spacers on the rear seat of my JK which helped a lot. I have had my JL for quite a while and haven't noticed the seats being uncomfortable even on a 5k Mile road trip to Moab and other places. I think they would be the same as the JT

    • @TXJeepDad
      @TXJeepDad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's definitely going to help on your new jeep. I was surprised how uncomfortable my jt was after driving longer distances. All good now

      Seems like the line of sight is the same just raises the the front of the seat up to feel more comfortable. These seats definitely are not highlights of the JT !

    Im confused by their website. Why does one need slammers vs jackers?

    • @eggdude5460
      @eggdude5460 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Think about it, power seats don’t just lift your legs up for taller people, they also go down for the shorter crowd. The slammers probably lower your seat by raising the rear, and the jackers raise the front.

    • @TXJeepDad
      @TXJeepDad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I understand, for very tall folks, the slammer may be the route to go as the seat won't drop low enough to allow for their headroom. I'm 5'9" so the .75 seat jacker was perfect
