Loved it! I “discovered” what water can do with the prints, when I was doing circles many eons ago, but dismissed it as it was a “mistake”😅 It had to be approved by someone like you (so to speak, and I hope I don’t come across in a wrong way😅) and show it to the rest of us, to validate my “mistake” with water on the gelli print. Not valuing what one does in art, can be devastating at so many levels… Today I learned to appreciate those “mistakes” and maybe share them one day. Love your work, your personality and everything you do. ❤❤❤
First time watching, your enthusiasm is fabulous 😊 I’m glad you’re having so much fun. Just ordered my first gelli plate from Amazon. I haven’t even got it yet. I’m quite excited myself 😉
Oh, dear Froyle, your videos always put me in a good mood. I now have a whole stack of Gelliprints as collage papers, nicely sorted by main colors, and after I took a course in bookbinding - the prints are perfect for covering the book covers - and learned how to use bookbinding glue and a folding bone, nothing is safe from me anymore: my office files are covered with Gelliprints, my boxes of art supplies are covered with them, even drawer fronts and door surfaces can be embellished with them. A few golden elements and a good coat of protective varnish; my studio is slowly developing into a complete work of art. ❤
You're a woman after my own heart, Froyle! How to spend waiting time? Anything but housework 😂😂😂 Great video as usual, love your content, your enthusiasm and your humour. ❤ from Scotland 🏴
I'm not sure what I enjoyed more, the beautiful prints you created with this technique, or how absolutely tickled you were sharing it with us. Thank you for sharing your creativity and your joy!
What a wonderful tip. And what a wonderful arty you are. While waiting for layers to dry, I'll just watch more of your inspirational videos. God bless you, beautiful soul. ☘️💜
I must add Froyle that I love this way of delivering the tutorial, where you are talking in the corner as you go thru each process, it really works really well!!!
Thank you so much, I find it more engaging, entertaining and interesting to watch! Even though it's sooooooo much more work editing! haha! Thanks for joining me, cheers
Some of these prints are so beautiful and involve so little skill, just a willingness to play and explore! Fabulous. I'd be delighted to receive a little gift wrapped in such beautiful handmade prints too, as another thing you could use them for.
Wonderful video tutorial! Your enthusiasm a joy in creating is so infectious and inspiring!!! I am so anxious to give this technique a go……. Thank you so very much
Froyle, your splishy splashy effects with pure water are sensational! I could watch you for hours applying water with a brush and creating super cool graphic patterns. LOVE it 😍! Aloha from Berlin ❤🧡💛💚💜
I love the vibrant colours and the effects of the water spray. The laser printed doors remind me of the older Disney movies, like 101 Daalmations, when they were hand-drawn. They have a kind of sketched quality about them! Just beautiful!
Hi Froyle, you are such a Delight! Love all you do! Love the joy you exude when talking about your art. Love all the prints you created! Thank you for all the inspiration you always bring. I now have a larger gelli plate, so I am excited to try this! Take care dear lady. Be blessed ❤🙏
I started to think I'd could *never* be patient enough to try this technique - but then you pulled the prints. Wow, absolutely stunning! Thanks so much, Froyle, for sharing. [Rushes out at 6am for a dollar store fan]
OMG you are right, the water change the jelly plate game for sure. I just got my jelly plate and was afraid to start but your videos have giving me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Love your sense of humour and your view of life, your videos are a pleasure to watch and craft along with
This is the very first video of yours that I see, and I am fascinated of your art, personality, and the amazing way that you have to show your art, I have enjoyed this video a lot, I subscribed to your channel, and after seeing this video I am going to spend a long time checking the rest of the channel!! 😂😂😂 Thank youuuu
Love, love, love this & what a great tool (so inexpensive 😂). I can’t wait to try this!! Your prints are exquisite & your enthusiasm is contagious. Thanks so much for sharing this technique ❤.
Such a beautiful result! Baby oil has a similar effect while conditioning your plate! You can also put slightly water down your paint in a spray bottle to control where the paint goes while still creating the same effect.
Loved it and I joined over on Patreon! I'm getting more and more excited about my journey with mixed media! You and many others are a great inspiration!
Good morning Froyle, well I'm back to tis video ago again, I've already watched it at least a dozen times. The textures you come up with are just so wonderful. Could you possibly tell me what the name of the paint you are using is at minute 5:16? I tried to read it . something black indigo. IT's the exact blue I'm looking for to paint my stairwell in my home. IF you have time that would be awesome, I know you're busy . Thanks Froyle. ~Patti
Beyond words glorious dear Froyle -- thank you for sharing this exquisite technique -- I've been looking for something to break me out of my fixed pattern of gel printing and I think you've just given it to me -- thanks as always for your shots of inspiration and encouragement ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
I found your website :) I think I missed the GSM 24, I signed up for something lol... And I wanted to tell you your name is so beautifully unique!! ❤ Sending love from Boston, Massachusetts 🇺🇸

I have never done gel printing but I think I would love to try my hand. I've been acrylic pouring for about a year. Saw this and fell in love with what I saw. I want to be sure I heard you right - you let even the last layer dry before putting the paper over it? Paper DOES NOT go on wet paint. Is this correct? I love your work!!! Thank you.
My studio is currently closed for renovations or I’d be doing this right now. I discovered this when I’d washed my brayer and it was a bit damp. I got finer spots. I am desperate to try spritzing with alcohol so I don’t have to wait for it to dry 😊
Really beautiful technique, Froyle! Your comment about the drying time made me wonder whether you could use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol instead of water because it would dry faster - but it could damage the Gelli plate... has anybody tried this that you know of? Your papers are stunning, as always!
Fantastic discovery ! Could you give us an idea of what types of magazines transfer better? I know the same ones may not be available in all countries, but what characteristics work best? Your transfers and water technique look fabulous together. Thanks
I enjoy watching your instructions on the Photo transfers which is my focus. I'm new at Gelli printing. I have been trying to do photographs and find that when I pull the Photo from the Gelli pad no photo is left on the pad instead it cleans the Gelli pad. Please give suggestions to improve. Thank you
It will be your print copy. I have found colour laser copy prints from my local Warehouse Stationary to work the best 👍🏼 try different print shops because it does matter 😍 cheers
Glorious prints indeed! What papers are you using…can you use transparent papers like rice, tissue and teabag papers or are you pulling with copy paper?
Your prints appear to be somewhat shiny. Is that from the paper you’re using or maybe the paint? I love the idea of using the water and will have to try it.
