I loved everything about this episode. The rolling pin was magic, the bath mat, drawer liners, old CD's and I've been here quite a while so the secret circles from the hard ware shop are very familiar. Only thing missing was Nana's favorite breakfast bowl. I do believe it got left behind in the big move. Fabulous episode. Congrats made my day.

I have purchased many of those rollers for the bakers in my life. Before I saw this video, I started thinking hmmm, can I use that for the gelli plate? Then lo and behold I find this video.
As a sidenote, I Purchased my rollers from Ukraine artists. I wanted to support them since Russia is doing them such a disservice.

I just made a decision to get back into art - something I've been avoiding for 'lack of inspiration'.
I decided to try a new medium, because that always adds excitement!
I literally just got home from buying watercolor supplies 15 minutes ago. I came to youtube to learn watercolor, but I get this video?!
I've never seen anything like this I absolutely love it.
I'm in love with everything about this from the materials to the process to the results.
The way I feel called to this type of art (I barely know what I'm looking at) is something I haven't felt in a minute.
I'm excited to feel it...but the timing is so wrong.
It's like not believing in love at first sight until feeling it for yourself, but you happen to catch that feeling 15 minutes after you accepted your partner's marriage proposal.

Sometimes it does get sticky, give it a wash with a little detergent, maybe clean off all the old paint 👍🏼 cheers!
Ah ha! I have been driving unused CD’s around in my car because the recycling center wouldn’t take them and it didn’t feel right to put them in the trash. I will be bringing them back into the house and getting out my gelli plate! This was great!

Speaking of unusual items - I was husking corn on the cob and took the silk from the husk, dipped it into white paint and lightly pressed it into a collage I’m making. It turned out great!

I’ve saved the brown dried silk, partially pulled apart, to use in the winter. The green silk can also be dried and saved. Garden is a great place for texture!
The rolling pin thingy is for making special type of biscuit/cookie for that area of the world. Of course I can't remember the name of it. There are also presses you can use.

All of the stamps can be used to make strukture, too. I love to do two by one taking paint off the plade and using the paint on the stamp to make a nother. I am sure you do this, too, ad least some times 😉 to pik up the "itums" from the plade I use glue on a tooth pic (or kind of) or I use these poster stripes, for bigger "stamp" peaces I use two to pick them up, so you still can use both sides otherwise I glue a permanent handle on.
