No worries. I was on campus about a week ago and it’s looking fantastic- new buildings, great atmosphere with students back for classes after the summer holidays.
I enjoy watching these videos. There are some universities that are not very recognised in the country in comparison with the G8 and then when you see their grounds through these videos you get a nice surprise like Curtin University and Bond University.
Definitely. I love Curtin’s campus. Other great (non-Go8) campuses are Griffith Gold Coast, QUT, Deakin and for classic Australian bush campus experiences, Newcastle, Macquarie, Griffith Nathan, and Fédération Uni.
A Life That Travels hahaha it’s changed A LOT but mum and i still love the vibe there. hopefully i get accepted next year! it would be a really sweet full circle moment :)
Thank you very much for the wonderful video. I got an offer for Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health. I am enrolled for the Research Term 1 2019( February/March) COMMENCEMENT periods. I AM HOPING I WILL HAVE A GREAT qualitative of education and international experience over there. Thanks, again for the honest video.
Thank you and congrats on committing to your PhD, that's a big deal! I don't know what the faculty will be like, but you're going to learn some incredible skills, meet many interesting people and discover a wonderful part of the world!
Curtin was an easy choice for me, I'm autistic and really struggle with school, i managed to pass year 10 but my school is really bad at accommodating different learning styles, I'm doing uniready INSTEAD of VCE, which i never thought was possible. I'll be able to go there next year and I'm looking forward to it so much
That's great to hear. Good on you for persevering. Kinda shitty that society forces YOU to have to adapt to IT instead of IT adapting to YOU. Seems like you've got a great attitude - you're going to go far.
i'm in a similar situation and am currently applying for uniready - did it end up going well? i've heard really good things about curtin's disability and autism support and was wondering if someone who experienced it found it as good as people say it is.
Hi Mate, First off, you replied to a comment of mine from another video of yours. Really appreciate the response. My question to you is, I’ve an offer from Curtin for the MBA (Advanced) program. I’m really hyped. However, I’ve an offer from La Trobe too. I intend to work as a ICT Business Analyst (the person between business and tech). Do you think Perth has jobs for me? Or should I just go to La Trobe? Or maybe I can graduate from Curtin and then go to Melbourne? I’d like your opinion mate. Thanks!
Of course! Happy to help. For me, and it's personal, I'd be choosing Curtin for that. I really love the uni and the business program is strong. Perth is a wonderful city for students too.
I love your videos a lot. I have a question though... for a PhD in civil engineering, which one would you recommend? Rmit, deakin, University of wollongong or curtin? recommend? I'm also thinking of applying PR after studying.
Argh, that’s hard. PhDs are very specific to the research topic you want to do. All those unis are great in their own ways so I would look at the detail of the civil engineering programs and the research they’re doing, then try to find which one looks most interesting to your own goals.
I’m torn between Monash University and Curtin University. I’m thinking of pursuing Mechanical Engineering. There’s more information on Monash compared to Curtin which quite concerns me tbh…
My speciality is public health; I have a first degree in pharmacy. I have other pressing concerns I would love to relate with you cos it’s not just about Murdoch & Curtin but there are other schools. Please if you can, it’s there a way I could reach out to you to relay these matters? Your contribution and counsel is needed and would highly be appreciated 🙏🏾. Thank you.
I'm quite interested in Curtin's coastal and marine science, and they really have great world ranking on related field. However, UWA is also high-reputed in this area. If I wanna work in Perth in the future, which university should I choose? Would you like to offer me some suggestions?
Both UWA and Curtin are highly regarded in the West. If you’re looking to work in Perth, one of the major industries is mining and they do employ a lot of environment specialists, including marine and coastal. In this case, Curtin has an advantage because it has one of the world’s leading mining programs.
Heyyy , i heard that gte is very difficult for an international student any idea about that please??? Like anything i would be glad if i hear from you.. Thanks..!
Choosing between unisa and curtin and monash for teaching degree (ECE), any advice in terms of the friendliness of the people in the city, and which city has warmer and more stable weather? And is curtin alright with education ?
These are all good universities for various reasons. Monash is a large, research intensive uni - great programs and links to current research. Tonnes of student opportunities from clubs and societies to overseas study. It's a bit outside the heart of Melbourne, which has upsides and downsides. But it's a great uni. UniSA has the best education program in South Australia. Education is at the Magill and Mawson Lakes campuses, which are outside the city centre. Adelaide is a pretty city with a lower cost of living than elsewhere. It is also one of the universities that has best dealt with Covid, in my view. Curtin is a great uni - Perth is a wonderful city. The uni ranks very well for education and is pretty large, so has lots of opportunities for students. Overall the weather is warmer and more stable in Perth and Adelaide than Melbourne. I also find them to be 'friendlier" - nothing against Melbourne, I just think that the bigger the city is, the trickier it can sometimes be.
Umm..there's a branch of Curtin university in UAE (United arab emirates) there's no much information about it in other websites nor here in youtube, if you have any idea about it can you please say it out to me!!

The degrees are really good. I can’t comment on the campus or teachers in the UAE but the course content meets Australia’s education quality standard and the uni teaches up to date content.
I’m currently studying a bachelor of health science at Curtin University. I’m loving it so far! There’s a lot of variety in choosing your units. I’ve focused more towards anatomy and their anatomy facilities are fantastic. The university has also transitioned to online study very easily due to the corona virus. I can’t recommend Curtin enough!

That's impossible to say without a lot more information (which you probably shouldn't disclose publicly). It depends on what degree you're applying for, your previous studies and more. What are you looking to study?
@@ChoosingYourUni first of all, thanks for your reply Sir! I am about to study master in management/marketing, although i got offering letter at university of sheffield, i still prefer to study in perth as it is close to my country. What i know is curtin is the largest uni in wa but uwa claim to be number one uni in wa. Do you think the ranking should matter?
@@Mandaunusantara Good questions. Both Curtin and UWA have good marketing/management courses. If you look at these rankings you'll see that both programs are well ranked (depending on the ranking survey): www.mbanews.com.au/mba-rankings/ You should also look at www.qilt.edu.au, the Australian Governmnet's "quality" website for universities. You'll be able to search for "Business" for each university and look at things like student satisfaction, job outcomes etc. My personal opinion is that you should also look at the other things that these universities offer OUTSIDE the classroom that might interest you: clubs, internships, overseas study opportunities, leadership programs etc. These extracurricular things are completely personal to you, so look for things that YOU find interesting and consider them as part of your decision - in my opinion what you have access to outside the classroom is just as important as what you can access inside the classroom.
That’s a factually incorrect statement. Google “ESOS Act” and you’ll see that there are legislated requirements for English language (we’re one of the only countries in the world to have such strong protections for international students).
got my master degree here like 5 yrs ago.... really missed the fantabulous atmosphere, and the vibrant uni life.... really missed Perth also... cheers
