Hey @collapse --> thanks for the feedback! Please feel free to share the channel with other people you know thinking of studying at one of the unis in Perth since I've got reviews up for all of them now. th-cam.com/users/alifethattravels
I am looking into law at Murdoch for my undergrad.. Although Murdoch is recognized in my country, I am still not sure if studying law in Australia is a good idea to begin with.
Murdoch has had a very messy couple of years at senior management level. It’s affected lots of areas of the uni and staff morale (with the people I know there). Not sure if it’s impacted IT.
Love these videos as usual. I’m trying to decide which teacher education program to get in. So far I’m deciding between Murdoch and Curtin. I’ve heard good things about Curtin but I’m also attracted to the amount of scholarships that Murdoch offers. Plus the video seems to indicate that is a smaller community vibe, which seems to imply smaller class size which is good for me. I wonder what are your thoughts on this matter?
Murdoch is certainly smaller than Curtin and has a nice community vibe. It's further away from the city centre, away from the hustle and bustle. But it's still quite close to the beach, which is great!
Hi , it's seem you reply to all the comment ! I plan to enroll in Murdoch university but it's seem to have lot of bad reviews because the university lower it standard for international students. Do you know if things getting better or worst ? I can't seem to find any information regarding that . ( I'm not Aussie ) Thanks for making this video!
I think Murdoch Uni has some challenges at the moment, particularly since it has just lost its Vice Chancellor, but it's not all bad news. What do you want to study there?
I don’t know about that particular program at Murdoch. I’d recommend you look up Campus Morning Mail on Google. There you can search for all the latest news about Murdoch produced by an independent, higher education specialised journalist. It’s a no bullshit resource. That should help you to decide if the reviews you’ve read online are accurate or not.
I'm thinking between Murdoch and Curtin for a Master of Teaching program. Still yet to decide, but your videos have certainly been very helpful!(Thank you for that!) I'm from Singapore btw. Maybe one day you should come here and visit! :)
I’d love to one day! Curtin is my pick between those universities in a general sense. Murdoch has had some turbulent years. Not sure about how the education programs compare but Curtin has really done great as a uni in the past 10 years.
Which one would you prefer between curtin and murdoch for masters in electrical power systems engineering? Also, is curtin campus situated inside the city?
I don't know about that specifically, but I'd typically prefer Curtin over Murdoch in the engineering space. Curtin isn't in the city centre - the main campus at Bentley is about 15-20 minutes drive from the middle of the city, easily accessible by bus.
I’m not familiar with that degree at Murdoch. However, it’s a great idea to study that - food security is going to be increasingly important in the decades ahead!
I can't comment on the degree itself but right now I'd say ECU is the uni in the better shape in general. Murdoch has had a pretty rough few years with lots of uncertainty in senior management.
The program has some strengths. Lots of good MBA and business analytics programs in Perth though so I'd also recommend looking at others to see which one best aligns with your interests.
I can’t comment on a specific uni or individual situation, but as a general reflection you’re absolutely right. Discrimination often happens out of sight - unless you know what you’re looking for, it can sometimes only be the individuals that experience it and the rest of the world wanders by oblivious. It’s shit and I hate it. I’m determined to call it out wherever I see it and to stick up for equality, consent and fairness wherever I can.

Thank you for this video. I'm studying abroad next year and Murdoch is one of the universities I'm considering, so this was helpful and interesting :)

A very strong, competitive program 👍

Does University rank really matters in Australia ?. I'm confused between Curtin and Murdoch.

Interesting that it’s the two white guys who didn’t notice any discrimination. Ask the Asian females!!!
