    Great tips! I wanted to try the ketogenic diet but wasn't sure how. These tips are very helpful.

    Hi Dr. John
    Stumbled on to you and I have watched a few of your videos now. You are spot on with your advice. I have found that just being aware of carbs rather than counting them works for me. I think about it before I eat bread, potatoes or other high carb foods. I find that if I make a conscious decision, even if I decide to eat them, I will eat less. With regards to finding time to exercise, they make small ellipse machines that fit under a desk. I have a Cubii Jr. that I use while watching videos. I am currently doing 16/8 and avoid wheat as much as I can, due to my hypothyroid and probable leaky gut and also a concern about insulin resistance. I did not set out to lose weight, but have gone down about 30 pounds in the last 6 months without trying. If someone is looking for a motivational push, I would suggest starting by reading Wheat Belly or Grain Brain. They are real eye openers! Keep up the good work. I wish you success with your channel.
