This was my first flagship phone I ever bought. Got it for $300 with a two year contract. Very expensive at its time most flagship phones were $200 with 2 year contract. Loved the phone except the battery life was horrible. I believe this was one of the first major phones without a removable battery pack. The phone would only last about 4-5 hours before I would have to charge it and there wasn’t no major power banks at that time either. But the phone was awesome to have. Big 4.3 inch screen when iPhone was still 3.5 inches and very light
This was the best looking phone ever made in my humble opinion. It was sleek and super sexy! Motorola should make another with 5G capability. I would buy it in a heartbeat!
Also, the nexus has a slighty larger 1,850 mah battery compared the razrs 1,780 mah battery. The razr has a 4.3 inch display and the nexus has a 4.65 inch display. So if you like a slighty smaller phone the razr is a little bit shorter and smaller. Hope this helps!
@AppleUploader It has a Kevlar/Steel backplate with a Gorilla Glass screen. It might not be that much tougher than thicker phones, but it's definitely not weaker.
@Turtleflute no, i know, im talking about he said that you can video chat with lte, wifi or 3g, not like other phones that restrict you. when he said that, is obvious hes talking about the iphone because you dont get restricted by the apps in android, they notify you "if you dont have an unlimited plan, it may not be a good option to use this service with data on, please use wifi" or something like that, anyway, i havent met a single person, in puerto rico, (thats where i live) that has told me
@skittleschocolate it all depends on the phone manufacturer, not the operating system. they decide what is on it, they code the android os themselves so it works with the phone, etc. they cause the glitches, bloatware, etc
Hi Aaron, I enjoyed watching every phone review although I'm iOS fan. Anyway, I was watching the review of motorola razr and tmobile mytouch and these video need more light or brightness... whatever... :D I just want to suggest to make the brightness of the video to be brighter or something so that I can see the phone clearly for the whole video.
also a year ago when i got my iPhone the Verizon Wireless Associate showed me this phone. it was a new phone (my birthday is 11/11/11 and i got my iphone for my birthday) so i knew it would have some bugs and defects. waiting a few months to a year for a new device is always the best. so they can work out the bugs
Ok I can't choose. Iphone had a good UI and the beauity, but the droid gets free music and doesn't make you pay for everything. It also has an sd card slot and flash. Which one should I get? Please reply to this comment and explain WHY. Thanks:)
@Fireaspider no its not...it cost 100 more and has a smaller screen 4.3 vs 4.5..galaxy is super fast..has been at the top of the benchmark tests...only thing better is that it is newer and thinner...
before i got my Galaxy S4, i had this phone and i had to charge it twice a day. now the newer droids have way better batteries. so if you want a droid, get the newer ones. plus, the s4 has a really good battery. (2600 mAh)
@HaydenMorck Why would it be htc, he said motorola like fifteen time in the video and the title of the video has motorola in it so why would htc take the plastic off.
@heidiweddz i asked the same question on another video. My phone freezes sometimes from too many things running, and I can take the battery out and reload it... what do u do with phones that have non-removable battery??
all multilens setups of today would fit in that horizontal bump of the droid razr. And it can LIE STABLE on the surface. Why it all evolved in the "island" design or vertical bumps?!
@89backbone i'm currently in that state of mind as well, but i'm going for the motorola razr, since the design looks better rather than a massive tocco lite, also i like how it looks more pro than the samsungs touchwize interface, also you get smart actions and lets not forget the thinese of it
I got the phone a upgrade from Droid x. Much better than Droid x. My concern is the phone as a GSM antenna turned on. The battery is not bad. I have been playing with it, and it lasted pretty long. The motocast is incredible I can see all my photo on my laptop. But I want my GSM.
@ashford1999 the thick part is thicker than the iphone but the official thickness isn't based on that point ( idk if it is the thinnest part or something else)
This might just be a pet peeve of mine but I HATE it when people are so damn desperate to open boxes/bags that they tear into them when it's actually super easy to do so and/or the opening is on the other side. My frustration starts at 2:20 and ends at 2:36
ok i have the sane phone (Motorola Droid RAZR) and he has a totally different unlock screen and texting layout. Are there two versions of this phone or is it an update??? Please let me know!!!
Cheap package! I got mine with the HDMI cable, car charger, standard headphones (unfortunately not with the ROKR design) standard charger and the data cable.
@QAdeputy i am a iPhone user what u do is unscrew the screws on the bottom of the phone and replace it yourself or goto apple and they will do it 4 u for about 50 bucks
My first smartphone :)
Whose watching this in 2019 and is like "damn I remember when I had that phone."
Love that it had actual kevlar. Way better than glass
Shit here in 21 it's even crazier 🤣
@@semipropick3ify haha. Me too. I can’t believe 10 years ago!
I had the first droid, didn’t like it unfortunately
This was my first flagship phone I ever bought. Got it for $300 with a two year contract. Very expensive at its time most flagship phones were $200 with 2 year contract. I'm currently a(n) holder of the iPhone 5 but I've always wanted the droid Razr
This was my first Android phone.
me to
same dude
It was my Second one the first was a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8
But I really liked this Phone
I had this phone when it first debuted I was only 13. That phone was awesome.
This was the best looking phone ever made in my humble opinion. It was sleek and super sexy! Motorola should make another with 5G capability. I would buy it in a heartbeat!
RAZR is still an awesome phone and holds its own against the newer ones, good specs , unique design I love my RAZR .
i like how he still showed us the animation, now thats a good comintatoe that know what his viewers want.
@knightlike101 the razr has a removable SD card, its located on the side of the phone under a small door where you can also find the 4g SIM card.
I miss this phone it was so good for its time
Also, the nexus has a slighty larger 1,850 mah battery compared the razrs 1,780 mah battery. The razr has a 4.3 inch display and the nexus has a 4.65 inch display. So if you like a slighty smaller phone the razr is a little bit shorter and smaller. Hope this helps!
looking great aaron really proud of ya!
@AppleUploader It has a Kevlar/Steel backplate with a Gorilla Glass screen. It might not be that much tougher than thicker phones, but it's definitely not weaker.
Such an antique!😄 currently rocking a note 20 ultra and an iPhone 12 pro max! See yall in 9-10 years hopefully!
This was my first touch screen phone and now I currently have the motoz2 force
@Turtleflute no, i know, im talking about he said that you can video chat with lte, wifi or 3g, not like other phones that restrict you. when he said that, is obvious hes talking about the iphone because you dont get restricted by the apps in android, they notify you "if you dont have an unlimited plan, it may not be a good option to use this service with data on, please use wifi" or something like that, anyway, i havent met a single person, in puerto rico, (thats where i live) that has told me
Have this phone. Its kind of better than the original droid. But sometimes it goes slow.
im getting my razr on saturday can't wait :)
I remember wanting this phone..... along with many other when I was a kid watching these videos
@007TheMaaz I'm just assuming that it's taking the route like Apple's iPhone 4S where you can use a GSM sim card when you're out of the country.
This just owned my arc !
BLUETOOTH 4.0, 1080p and 7.1mm thin... This phone is cheap and futuristic! Wow thumbs up for that great mobile!
I have this phone and i love it the best but cant wait for the ultra to come out
i got my razr on Tuesday, and i looove it. best decision with a phone i've ever made.
Do you still have it I was thinking about getting it too
@uSee218 - rumor is the Razr is coming to AT&T, I just can't pinpoint when exactly. Im holding out. If you find out, please post.
You should have picked up the charger. I wanted to see it!
@heidiweddz the D4 doesnt have a removable battery but on that you hold power and volume down for like 10 seconds, so idk on this but it might be same
@DAlax17 u can always hold the "off" button till it switches off then turn it on again
In Canada theres no micro sd included but it comes with a HDMI to connect the phone to your tv
I'm bout to get this phone! Can't wait!!!!!
Dual Travel Charger??? AC adapter ?? seemed pretty clear.
@skittleschocolate it all depends on the phone manufacturer, not the operating system. they decide what is on it, they code the android os themselves so it works with the phone, etc. they cause the glitches, bloatware, etc
Sometimes I put my Razr into the freezer for a couple of minutes to cool it down.
@spydagking actually if you can't remove it you just have to hold down the power button for about 30 seconds to a minute or so. then it'll restart.
Hi Aaron, I enjoyed watching every phone review although I'm iOS fan.

Haha thanks. And good luck on getting it, you should like it a lot I know I do.
Using this phone is 2018..for Clash Of Clans..pretty good
Aaron, did you review this phone running the new software? Thanks!
@HarryDickJohnston - I've used Verison, Tmobile, At&t. At&t has been good so far but still drops calls from time to time.
is the brightness up on that? What desktop sync software does it come with?
Definitely one of the best looking phones hands down...Evo 3D owner here.
Aaron!!! Bro what are you doing?? You look effin good bro!!! Keep it up!!!
The start up is freakin beast!!!
Ok I can't choose. Iphone had a good UI and the beauity, but the droid gets free music and doesn't make you pay for everything. It also has an sd card slot and flash. Which one should I get? Please reply to this comment and explain WHY. Thanks:)
How come there weren't any headphones or earphones bundled with this thing?
This phone really became awesome once Jelly Bean was installed. For a guy who loves battery life, it jumped to the level of S3 for me.
good job you're in tune with the you tubers because i did want to see the animation lol
@MrSilvagunner So you say that single core phone is much faster than dual core?
Awesome device going to pick one up on Wednesday.
@Fireaspider no its not...it cost 100 more and has a smaller screen 4.3 vs 4.5..galaxy is super fast..has been at the top of the benchmark tests...only thing better is that it is newer and thinner...
they should measure the thickest point of a phone, not the thinnest point.
because the top of the back isn't 7.1 mm
Motorola Razr or Samsung Galaxy SII? I have an upgrade on Saturday and I'm so torn between these 2 phones!!! Which one, and why?
I'm buying this, then returning it for galaxy nexus when it comes out, thanks best buy for 30 day return policy, much love
is it possible to put one of these is lay-away like walmart/kmart? with no contract
I'm getting this for my 11th birthday and I'm so excited! I'm getting the white one and my best friend has the purle one. :)
@heidiweddz Theres 3 steps.
1. Hold its about 6 1/2 feel off the ground
2. Let go of it
3. Repeat until it restarts or shuts off
a question that model includes 4g
You are looking much slimmer this week! Good looking guy ;)
before i got my Galaxy S4, i had this phone and i had to charge it twice a day. now the newer droids have way better batteries. so if you want a droid, get the newer ones. plus, the s4 has a really good battery. (2600 mAh)

@heidiweddz i asked the same question on another video. My phone freezes sometimes from too many things running, and I can take the battery out and reload it... what do u do with phones that have non-removable battery??
@NWguy83 wouldn't you just reset the phone the way you do with any other phone that doesn't come with a removable battery like the iphone
I don't know what it is, but I was really digging this phone. I think it's sexy! :D Can't wait for the review.
all multilens setups of today would fit in that horizontal bump of the droid razr. And it can LIE STABLE on the surface. Why it all evolved in the "island" design or vertical bumps?!
@junyi1994 thnx............. well i have another question what do u recommend this or galaxy nexus???
@wangundegi I thought Verizon had a 14 day return policy? Not 30 like T-Mobile.
u know it looks like it was already unboxed cuz the plastic was'nt on the screen did verizon and htc take it off?
@89backbone i'm currently in that state of mind as well, but i'm going for the motorola razr, since the design looks better rather than a massive tocco lite, also i like how it looks more pro than the samsungs touchwize interface, also you get smart actions and lets not forget the thinese of it
the best thing about Aaron is he lost weight but he didn't lose his sense of humor.
I got the phone a upgrade from Droid x. Much better than Droid x. My concern is the phone as a GSM antenna turned on. The battery is not bad. I have been playing with it, and it lasted pretty long. The motocast is incredible I can see all my photo on my laptop. But I want my GSM.
Ive always loved motorola phone period and the razr as well. Now a droid razr that I have to have.
Most dope thumbs up for the DROID razr!!!
@ashford1999 the thick part is thicker than the iphone but the official thickness isn't based on that point ( idk if it is the thinnest part or something else)
I dig it, it looks sexy, but I'm not sure if it can beat the Galaxy Nexus
This might just be a pet peeve of mine but I HATE it when people are so damn desperate to open boxes/bags that they tear into them when it's actually super easy to do so and/or the opening is on the other side. My frustration starts at 2:20 and ends at 2:36
@heidiweddz Lol, it doesn't crash. It has a 1.2 GH dual-core processor and 1 GB DDR3 RAM. With an OS from 2008/9. So it really never crash.
Beautiful phone! Very nice Motorola. I don't really like Motorola phones but this one sure is gorgeous!
ok i have the sane phone (Motorola Droid RAZR) and he has a totally different unlock screen and texting layout. Are there two versions of this phone or is it an update??? Please let me know!!!
most likely it's an update. go to your settings and check if there's a more recent one out, there probably is.
PLEASE DO A REVIEW BEFORE THE RELEASE
@BC69SEX No no no the 4s doesn't have 4g, and not as thin. Also the 4s has a small display.
@MrSilvagunner and what phone do you have.
@AkimboAliTheR its suppose to come with headphones
?
Also what if the battery starts to go bad, why replace the entire phone...?
the cover up was exactly what i was thinking lol nice catch
why would i pay 299 for this or the nexus if for the same price i can get the rezound with beats headphones? its a no brainer!
cant wait for this phone in my country, i have been waiting for lte services in my country since the droid x came out...
Hmmmmm cant remove the battery?
Hope it never freezes.....
does the droid razr got GSM sim carrier ?
Do any high end androids besides nexus come out with stock android?
I can't believe you can't remove the battery. What if it freezes up and there's no other way to turn it off?
Cheap package! I got mine with the HDMI cable, car charger, standard headphones (unfortunately not with the ROKR design) standard charger and the data cable.
Locked bootloader, blur, bloatware app. No miui rom, no 1080p video recording, no HDMI on custom roms :(...ill wait for HD cam
Lets see what sprint brings out next hopefully its something good.
@Tapoutbro911
You'll have to look at them side by side. The Nexus was just too damn big for me.
Would you recomend this or the Droid incredible 2? Please respond.
@heidiweddz what happens if the iphone crashes? same argument, has to be some kind of reset
@QAdeputy i am a iPhone user what u do is unscrew the screws on the bottom of the phone and replace it yourself or goto apple and they will do it 4 u for about 50 bucks
should i get this, the droid 4 or the 4s? my contract renews on thursday
This or the M? I need durability. (BMXer) Right now I have the Droid 4 (Love the phone!!) no problems besides it keeps sliding open in my pockets.
