    If you focus really hared and practice enough times eventually you'll be able to do push-ups with no hands at all.

    I need a body like these guys, im one of those weird body types, im skinny but i have some fat on my chest and belly...
    But i have been working out at home for about 2 weeks now and im already seeing results!

    • @Alexander_Meyer
      @Alexander_Meyer 10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      2 weeks? Sorry but the results is only in your head..

    • @badplayer1845

      Alexander Meyer i actually got really slim in 3 weeks from working out and exercising really hard every day so i believe laglemamu

    • @Jacob-tm5nu
      @Jacob-tm5nu 10 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Alexander Meyer you say that as if getting results in 2 weeks is impossible.

    • @molomono9795
      @molomono9795 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Josh Blair He said he had some fat, he's skinnyfat. Loose the fat and see the muscle, in 2 weeks time you can loose quite a bit of fat. So results are definitely visible.
      Obviously for real results you need to bulk for half a year at least. The bodies in this video are about 2 years worth of work if you start from a skinnyfat physique. And that's if you have average genes.

    • @Alexander_Meyer
      @Alexander_Meyer 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Molo mono If you could lose enough fat to get visible results all the pills people sell would be true..

    Regular push ups are too easy and feels like cardio,I learnt some progression from an inmate eventually leading up to one arm one leg push ups and one arm pull ups,for push ups,they are regular push ups>diamond push ups>archer push ups> assisted one arm push ups(assisting hand straight)> one arm push ups>one arm one leg push ups.
    For pull ups,chin ups>pull ups>sternum pull ups>archer pull ups>sternum archer pull ups>one arm pull ups(you wont get full ROM at first but you can slowly build up to it).
    Each session you do 8-10 sets till failure,resting 2-3 minutes between sets,last two sets being regular push ups and pull ups till failure and the first 8 sets being whatever variation you are currently on.As you can do 30 reps in a row with a given variation (20 reps in case of pull ups),move on to the next variation,you should be able to do 6+ reps with them in the beggining.
    In prison rules,if you can do 70+ one arm one leg push ups (feet elevated at waist height) and 30+ one arm pull ups,you would be considered HUGE for your height and if you weigh 200 lbs or more(which you can make sure by adding a weighted back pack and stuffing some rick in to it) you will have at least 18+ guns and 48+ inch chest at 6-8 percent body fat,and you will have a twice BW bench press.ITS FUCKING DEAD ON TRUE,cuz I worked out like that for a year and a half and when i had them pr I could bench 435 lbs for 1 rep at 230 lbs shredded at 6ft1 inch height,and I had not benched in a year and a half,before I had a 280 lbs bench max.
    Basically,after working out like that for 19 months(I was training muaythai in thailand and they dont allow weights),I had gained 50 lbs of muscle,and mind you all I did for legs are high volume pistols,sprinting and heavy bag kicking,so about 35-40 lbs of muscle was on upperbody,arms,shoulders,back and the motherfucking chest of mine,MAN,that was huge and shredded.
    Study shows that you can build muscle with a weight thats your 30 rep max just as good as a weight thats your 10 rep max,IF you do high volume and you lift till failure,so if you put n the hard work,you will be big as fuuaaark.But dont go any lighter than 30 rep max though.I mean as soon as you can do 30 reps move on to a harder variation.
    Weights are without a doubt much better though,cuz you can adjust the load according to your will.
    As far as diet is concerned,its all about getting in enough healthy kcals,protein will come adequately if you eat (your BW in lbs X 18-20) = Kcals a day from natural foods,even if you are eating natural vegan foods,you will still build muscle just as efficiently,be sure to do 20 minute of heavy bag hitting or shadow boxing a day too,
    In the end,if you get to those PRs,you will look head turning huge.After getting those PRs you should be a heavily muscular but still functional dude.I always wondered how the fuck could inmates be that huge without weights and protein rich diet,well because first,they do these variations and second all that ultimately matters in a diet is the number of healthy calories you get a day(protein comes),after that,if you do high volume with a heavy enough weight,you will grow,its all about discipline and consistency,and push ups and pull ups are two amazing moves for the upperbody.

    • @ryanbarnett3699
      @ryanbarnett3699 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really your bench increased that much just by bodyweight why don't they allow weights in Thailand ? Is it like against the rules or some shit

    • @brucewayne2447
      @brucewayne2447 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ryan Barnett The coaches said it would tire me if I tried to focus on both, so they didn't approve that, they told me to stick to pull ups and other bar work and calisthenics.

    • @ryanbarnett3699
      @ryanbarnett3699 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bruce Wayne and it worked really well from what I read ?

    • @brucewayne2447
      @brucewayne2447 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ryan Barnett It did man. I weigh 220+ lbs lean, look, how buff you get from calisthenocs depends on how big/heavy you are, now if you weigh below 200 lbs at lean stage then you can do your one arm pull ups with a weight hanging from your other hand.
      If you manage to master a one arm dip with perfect form, you can do that with a weight hanging from your other had too, and thats pushing and pulling, covered.

    • @ryanbarnett3699

      Bruce Wayne I'm about 180 at like 5 foot 7 I'm not ripped just big I wanted to get leaner but a lot stronger and I've been using calisthenics and the rings

    extra tip, the slower you do the pushup, the harder it is.
    Or do the pushup in parts
    1 stand in pushup stand, hold 3 seconds.
    2 half pushup, again hold for 3 seconds
    3 pushup untill your chest almost hits the ground (fist example) and again, hold 3 sec
    4, repeat 1-4 :)

    Whenever I walk about, I make myself walk with shoulders back e.t.c. Working out with deadlifting and all that good stuff also helps you gain good posture due to always keeping that back in and shoulders back. It's mostly discipline.

  • @fesewo784
    @fesewo784 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    First you start to half the amount of reps you can do, so if you can do 5 that would be 3 (always go for the higher number if it´s between two numbers) then you do 3 sets of that number with 60 sec in between each set.Do that every other day or every day if you feel that works better for it always depends on who you are. If you can do 10 good-form pushups you take the number 30. Thats the amoun of pushups you want to do. Then try to reach this number with as least sets as you can.

Given these stats If I wanted to combine 2-3 variations shown here (excluding the clapping variation), how many reps/sets would you recommend (or do yourself) to have a good gain VS fatigue ratio? Would appreciate your thoughts.

    Question. Both of you are obviously in great shape. How did you develop your chest to resemble "square plates"? Did your chest just gradually develop that way doing push-ups and using weights? I have only been working out for a year and still have "man boobs" :) I do about 60 push-ups a day with "Bruce Lee's push-up handles". I'm assuming you guys used weights as well. And this took several years to go from nothing to where you are in this video?

      Skandy S Thanks for the advice. Since I posted I had changed my exercise routines, gotten bigger, lost body fat, lost 30 pounds...chest looking more "square"...though few (Pro's) actually have "square chests". Will look up "chest dips"...

    If youcan do that and want to get stronger you can try to do the same thing with clap push ups or other harder variations and if you want to increase the amount of reps you just take the number of reps you want to do double that number and try to reach it with as least sets as you can.
    That would be it. I hope I could help i am always happy if i can ^^.

    Wait, so you have to do this every day? Wouldn't it be better to give your muscles some rest by skipping one day between each workout session?

    I think that you should use a combination of those..... I would dedicate one training for one circuit of fast pushups and other with 80% slow and 20% fast at the end of each set... For slow go down and count 4-3-2-1 and same for up... but you need to feel that your muscles are really moving ... don't use any kind of a "MOMENTUM" ... Good luck...

    liam wilde, I work out in the same gym as both these guys and they do not have tiny legs. They are both jacked and very strong...not to mention humble. If we want to learn how to play video games like an elementary schooler we'll watch your video, but if you want to be a man and get big I'd take the Bar Brothers seriously.

    There is no magic calculations for a bodyweight trainings... All you have to do is start with a base exercises... Don't rest too much between sets... I used to do 12-15 exercises without the rest in a great form and got a great results before. I'm not working out right now but am planing to do so... I would do for start.... Whole body circuit exercises... Chest, arms, back, shoulders, abs, legs 3 x a week... with 1 x Upper body and 1 x Lower body.... 2 days off.... Start with 3 days on --->
