  • Replacing the resistor that helps control the fan speeds on the selector knob. If your fan only works on certain selections, its time to change this resistor.
Parts at the dealership were less than $15.00 with tax, and its usually in-stock.
Socket size was 5/16, 1/4" drive ratchet.

    Thanks !!
Your video was better at showing the hidden location of the part than other similar videos
I did wind up with an extra screw - a good reminder to put the light back in place
The sun is back out, the top came off today too - time for a drive !

Great videos, this is the second one that’s seriously helped me out! Thanks for the great vids. This was not a fun fix but I’m glad I did it and it was only $20

Dave, great videos you got!! Very helpful. I have a 2005 Wrangler X, and my air conditioner is always blowing through the feet vents even if you put it to your face. I know this controls use some kind of Vacuum controls to operate, but just wondering if you also had the same problemw ith your jeep and if you happen to fix it.
    Thanks again!

Hey Hugo. Did you find your problem? My ac/heat only blows on the windshield vents. Looks like we have the same problems. Thanks

@@duuurs I can tell you that I've recently had this part fail again. So far, only low speed doesn't work. Waiting for the rest to start burning out.
