- In this video I show how I replace the fan blower switch in my Jeep Wrangler having never done any dash work in a vehicle before.

Informative video. Thanks! My symptom was fan was stuck on high position no matter what it was set on. Took it apart using your video and the switch was fried. Changed resistor too but it was definitely the switch. Thanks a lot!
Great video, but I would've tried it before it put it all back together...
Nice vid!! Only advice I'd give is that the "moment of truth" should of been right when you plug the new switch in rather than after putting everything back together

None of my settings work on mine . New resistor blower fan works but nothing happens when I turn knobs
mine (2010 avenger) works in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and shuts off in 4th. changed the resister and still the same thing. so I'm betting it's my switch as well. it can wait til spring cause its in the teens to low 20's outside. thanks for the video

Nevermind......Summit Racing came through for me. Search Crown Automotive Blower Motor Switch, on Summit's app or site under Jeep Wrangler.
please help i need it i am looking at a 1999 jeep 6-cylinder wrangler price at 5,900 130,000 miles beautiful interior and runs nice needs new tires and engine battery am i getting good price?
How long did it last before melting your wiring clip?
I'm not sure, maybe 10yrs
@@Teslavangelist The reason I ask is because placing the switch is alone is a temporary fix.
It will eventually burn out again. You need to fix this using relays.

You broke the grill, then payed off the switch instead of releasing the plug clips and almost destroyed the face plate when you tried to remove without removing the other knobs.
