Thanks for documenting this, I have been following along and am glad your recovery seems to be going well. I am in Vancouver and have a consultation with one of the doctors that operates out of PLEC in April. No idea if I am eligible for surgical options, my previous doctor said my keratoconus had stabilized so they didn't give me CXL.
What is the total recovery time they advise before returning to normal work/activities? Will you be getting contacts or glasses after a certain time?

Hi James, Plec suggested that I should take a month off ideally but 2 weeks is the bare minimum suggested. However I just got my bandage contact lens removed and Doctor said I am ready to return to work if I wish to as my vision is 99% healed. I don't plan to get glasses/contact as one of the reason I went for this surgery was to correct my vision as well which by the way is now 20/25 for both eyes !

@@tusharnayyer951 Congrats, that's great news! Were you wearing contacts before this? I've been in scleral lenses for a while now and I don't mind them too much but if I could go lens free that would be amazing.

@@jameswwright I have only worn glasses , never tried contact lenses. I agree, nothing feels better than going glasses free !
