truth be told i am leaning towards the solar. I think Solar has better range and top speed which makes it better for my needs. I am bummed solar doesn't share the cool aesthetics of this bike. Like the headlights and main screen but i can live with that.
seems like a great bike but 6000 euro is way overpriced for these specs hoping for more street legal releases that are around surron/talaria price range
I love it! Two bikes I actually consider to buy! One disappointment is that Niu doesn't have a city map with GPS sat-nav on the display - I think. Or maybe they have a Bluetooth connection with a smartphone and only showing when to turn, like Beeline Moto II. I don't know, but I doubt it. Waiting for the full review.
Here in America, you would need a motorcycle license to ride this thing. What are the license or license plate the piece of shit cops will arrest you and throw you in jail. Probably get your drivers license. Suspended as well. Definitely not worth the risk.
Just exactly what is that supposed to be? To be ridden where? I saw a comment below. Yes a motorcycle can be called a bike. But that doesn't mean they can both be ridden in the same areas or pathways. This is just fun, but dumb. And sort out what it's for before some one dies. Like a pedestrian.
I have a class M and for that price I could snag a 400cc maybe even a used 650cc. My thing is, a class M liscence is only a 2 days course for $300. So while I understand the material costs shippings etc. For this new bike...its now competeing with just getting a motorcycle since its legally able to ride on the street. Its not just competeing with SURRON or Talaria. Where as Surron and Talaria are just competeing as electric dirtbikes neither are street legal so the competition between those 2 price points is power focused, speed, build quality etc. So 4-5k between surrons and Talaria is understandable. However this new street legal bike? Its not competeing with surron and Talaria anymore because of the price point. Its competeing with motorcycles like the Ninja 400, yahmaha R3 etc. Because you can get those used for less than 5k which is full price of this bike. Pay $300 for a 2 day course and get the class M endorsed and your set. If they lowered the price and doubled the range than yes. It would compete with surrons because it would be cheaper than motorcycles but also street legal unlike the talaria and surron. It would be a solid middle ground. Buuuut since your paying 5k? Buy a Used Ninja 400 for about 3500-4k use the extra grand for some gear and class and bam your set all within a week-a month depending on DMV dates to just take your class certificate up there. The price is what may hurt this company for reasons stated above and it being streetlegal is great but because it is street legal at that price point...you may as well full send to a motorcycle at a 5k price point. Only thing it would have going for it is being able to off road at the same time but it isnt enough to pull the trigger when looking at the options we already have. I will say though, the bike itself looks CLEAN as fuck. If they were to lower the price instead of make it MORE than a used 300-400cc bike + Gear + MSF course than I'd snag it 100% at about 2.5-3k but not 5k. At 5k the options are wider especially considering its street legal capabilities.
@@BT_life2 An electric motor or a gasoline motor/engine are both a motor(ized) bike. My above comment (dissection of speech) still applies. Pedals, alone, are not a primary determining factor in a vehicle classification; they are merely an additional/optional propulsion method, either in combination/conjunction with (alongside) a motor or a replacement for said motor, which, in case of the latter, would render the vehicle strictly human-powered. It really shouldn’t be this convoluted. Freedom is messy. Live and let live.
The Solar Eclipse2.0 is a piece of shit feels like plastic when riding it. The suspension sucks too. I had it and sold it after a week of owning it! The NUI QI3 IS BAD ASS MUCH BETTER BUILD QUALITY AND COMPONENTS.
I rode today the solar v2 and I own the cake, the niu and the v2 is a pretty good bike for the price and performance. I would only get a better rear shock besides that all rest is good.
Best review because of the camera you guys use. Many different angles😁
Thank you! Check the full detailed review.
This NIU XQi3 us the best in this category, in my opinion.
As a newly middle-aged rider who won't be stunting or jumping, this a great Sur-Ron alternative; love the features and slick producty-ness of it.
👍
from what i saw on the website, the street legal surron only go 30mph. alternative?
This bike is awesome. It’s about time we had feature packed smart e-bikes with the full package like turn signals.
Absolutely
Looks like a lot of fun 👍
It was freezing cold but fun.
it looks better without the plate mount nice 😎
That's why I removed it.
I was waiting for the review on this bike. I'm still deciding between this one and the solar eclipse
yeah this is a tough choice to do but having both bike I think the fun factor is higher on the NIU but range wise Solar is the king. Bigger battery.

it is $5k so should be around 4.6k euro
Lol. How else do they pay for regulatory certifications and tests?
@@ElectricVehicleSpace It's 5999€

Yes coming. The app has that feature and I think it can be shown on the display. I think I saw it yesterday
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Please be sure to show how it works in your review.
@maciejpsyk yes will do. Coming in a week

That's a skydiving helmet.

yes it is true but here in NYC if you follow traffic rules you will be fine. I have a license, only need to register it.
not all states in my state this is still an ebike to my state laws and all you need is a drivers license for it not all states are the same.
Its already up to 6k. With fees and shipping
Are these bikes lighter and easier to handle than a motorbike?
yes
Looks like a solar eclipse, but slower. This is super underwhelming 😂
I think it can be unlocked. It is 72V so it can go way faster.
When are you going to do a review on OFF-R from VMOTO?
?
Haven't you heard of VMOTO. It’s Australian manufacturer of electric vehicles.
Where abouts are you that you can ride that bike without numberplates in cities?
Yes please
🐝🏁 Nice video 👍ebikes 💯👌
Thanks for watching!
If I’m right there is a cable that can be disconnected behind the battery that disables the limiter.
I dont see one
@@ElectricVehicleSpace ok.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace I will have a look at the video I’ve watched again
@LoftechUK please let me know this will help big time

we are not riding on highway sort of and we will be mostly riding on trails but can be converted for street. It is all good and safe.
6-7k to go 45-47 MPH 🤑🤑👀 HELL NO
5K
@@ElectricVehicleSpace tax, lic fees, registration, insurance in my state. No disrespect, but I'd get a Surron or MT03 Yamaha for 5k

💪
who installer the front rotor xd
Or ON-R they are almost the same...
You should fix your title. This is a street legal electric motorcycle. Not a street legal electric bike.
Motorcycles can be called bikes.
You are right ✅️
Not a motorcycle
Cry about it 😢 last time I checked motorcycles had clutches and gears😂
😉
NOT AN E-BIKE!
my state im in this is an ebike all you need is a drivers license for it not all places are the same
2 wheels = “Bi” cycle
Electric motor = “e” cycle.
How is this not an e-bike ?
very well explain. Ignore the none sense. Just ride and have fun.
