The NIU XQi3 is an electric dirt bike that comes with a VIN and has all the necessities to register it as a street legal electric motorcycle. In this NIU XQi3 review we examine the performance and range of this electric scooter dirt bike motorcycle toy and weigh the pros and cons. This is a 72v ebike and has about 8000w of peak power, but it does weigh more than some of the smaller electric dirt bikes on the market. The NIU XQi3 has several unique tech features that we haven't seen on other electric motorcycles in this same class. Here's the truth about the NIU XQi3 WILD.
I only managed to get 25.5 miles of range when I tested mine, but I was on sports mode for the majority of the ride pretty much.
Super comfortable bike tho!
🫡
That's not good enough. The caofen f80 is a very similar bike and I get 40 miles on sport mode going 55mph, nearly double.
You should get the caofen f80 which has 3 battery options. 72v 32ah, 48ah or 60ah. Most common one to find is the lower 2 but I've tested the 48ah and got 50 miles of ripping around the back roads. Top speed is 55mph.
@@VoltedAdventures
You took the E-bike to Figueroa Street, to the edge of Downtown L.A. and Skidrow to see if it's got the juice. Ultimate test on the 110th freeway. it's disappointing that it doesn't have a good range, because it looks good. But functionality is more important. Great review! Thank you!
If he didn't blast down the highway then he would've made it home with some to spare.
This bike seems to track without effort. I really like the appearance. It seems tough enough. Those aggressive knobs must be like riding on corduroy on streets.. LA looks no different than most large cities these days. Fantastic review. You put it to the test! Thanks Matt.
I would be terrified going around the skid row area without some protection especially on a bike. Props to you man.
You and @JohnHicksFilm should link up. You show him the Hills, he shows you the hood. Instant TH-cam gold.
I bought the massimo motor caofen F80 electric bike off of Amazon. I get alot of range out of the bike. I don't do the top speed on the bike. I got 72v 50ah battery, turning signals, anti thief protection, and weight 158 pounds I think. I'm very happy with this bike.
What is your max speed? Are you typically riding on the road or off-road? Thanks. I'm looking at the Solar Eclipse 2.0 and Land Moto
@@brettr876 I don't do off-road n the top speed is 53mph. I'm more of a range guy than a speed guy.
I’m still surprised by people a buying from other then official distributors of Caofen paying even more money.
@@RIFbikes it comes with a bigger battery.
??? From who ??? Caofen F80 comes with 4 different sizes of batteries and max speed of 65MPH
LA really looks like a GTA online lobby
because the gta map was based on LA
GTA V was in fact, modeled after LA
right now?
Man, watching you get on the highway out there was crazy🤣 stay safe!
Know that shooting this weekend was right in your neck of the woods, glad to see you're safe and sound my dude 🙌🙌
I really enjoyed watching this riding video. Interesting highlights besides the bike itself!
Great review. I was actually terrified when you went on the freeway with it, though. I saw this bike at EV Expo in Long Beach yesterday, and it's pretty nice for the price.
Dude I bought the Boom Bike, thanks for discount code!! Stay safe 👍
It delivered so fast it was like dealing with a bike shop! Easy to assemble. Love it 👍
You always get to review the best bikes on the market 😅👍🏾 0:34 0:34
Yeah except this one came with a faulty controller and had a less than than mediocre range...
Love the fact you hopped on the fwy when it went as fast as an E-Cell bike basically .😆👍 good shit keep it up 👍
Bro, crazy DeJa Vu. I could almost swear you already reviewed this bike. 😵💫😵💫😵😵
You, hicks, aurronster doing well. We got Brian636 in Chicago. I'm gonna whip up a few vids myself. You've all inspired me lol
Cool vid reminder that regen saves your brakes so if youre commuting its literally saving you money because you can go through 2 brake pads a year
This thing looks good I just got a scooter from NIU once I get a good job I might get this seems like a good investment. In fact I think once of my neighbors have one so I might see if I can test it out.
I guess it can be a good going to work bike. Or have fun in the woods at the cottage bike. I would prefer a Honda Trail 125 I think.
looks pretty good how much it goes for ?
You should do a more recent test of the sting r or the 2024 sting mx3 with the updated controller
The sting R is painfully outdated already.
Need a 40 or 45ah version. 32ah is just not gonna cut it in the current market. It’s really cool though if it had range.
Matt, did you forget about ECO mode to save your battery on the trip there
Probably would've made the trip in full eco. Or that's an overrated pack or junk cells.
@@GETTINREAL123 just 32 ah... most 24 bikes have 40ah now
@@DieTomate mine is 48ah it's the caofen f80. It's like nearly 40% more capacity and the battery is liquid cooled which can also act as a heater so you lose almost no range in winter.
Looks super familiar
Solar in the house 👋
I was wondering how you guys would feel about the design 😂
@@1deadpanman imitation is the most sincere form of flattery😂
At 14:19 you said there were some people standing in the street but they were walking in the street. You could say they were Street Walkers.
Less then 20% and still going away from home?! I was yelling at you to turn around and I was right lol
Roadrunner pro is the only one I've tested that goes less on the speedometer and actually more in GPS. By like 2mph for me.
Have you had this bike or a while? Any issues arise?
how much is this bike and when will it be released and sold
Which do you like better, the XQi3 or the Solar Eclipse 2.0?
Solar is carbon frame, looks better
Curious how they get the torque specs for these e bikes, a Suzuki hyabusa only has about 140nm of torque
They are electric so they get maximum torque from 0. Plus their weight is significantly lower.
Sur Ronster gave his red truck away...😅
Great review sir... keep the juiced reviews coming!!!
Incredibly stupid to need to remove the seat to charge…
I feel you
Absolutely!🖓
@@GETTINREAL123wtf is that emoji
Not a big deal. Keeps the connection away from rain as well.
To be honest, I think this bike is a little expensive and slow considering its speed. 72volts stock should mean the speed should be probably 60mph+.
@@unnamed47 because the controller and battery being 72 volts and the bike being 50mph+ is a basic for that kind of standard
Because more volts more rpm
I know these bikes have been available in the EU for awhile, but I can't even tell if it's even available to us plebs. I don't see any prices on their site, and I don't remember Mr.Juiced giving a price. Personally, I'd love to see their 50cc styled electric scoooters on US roads.
Oh. Also, I'm curious how the 'Overboost' works. Is there some solid state capacitors that charge up to provide that energy, or is it something else?
Ue Poland 22990zl = 5700 usd
I skipped LA in the late 90s, and it was never THAT bad
Am I the only one who hates the turn signal sound? Sounds like a toy.
It would be super cool if it was a speaking signal!😂
TURNING LEFT-TURNING RIGHT
I actually like it. It's corny in a cool way 😅
It is a toy
They should have also added a sweet Chinglish speaking female reporting every 5% battery drop. Along with a vibrating seat alert. 💩 shouldn't have said that they might do it!
To be honest, you're on the street surrounded by idiots in cars it's good to know if you're signaling with audio just to give yourself a better chance of not getting hit.
I don't like the idea of the rear wheel sticking out more than the rear of the chassis, in terms of design
I'm gonna get this
Great job on the range test. Really poor battery design
How is it compared to the Solar Eclipse
Yessir juiced dude I just started a reviewing channel could you give me some tips
Your new vid is good dude just record in landscape
I can give you tips as a viewer:
- record landscape
- edit your videos so there is no dead silence or boring stuff where nothing interesting happens.
- improve your audio quality
- make better titles and thumbnails
- clean up your set
@@privadeer yea I get the landscape and the cleaning part for sure. I’ll have to invest in a mic and stuff like that
@@privadeer I’ll have to do the titles and thumbnails next time for sure
Man how long will it take to make this bike be able to be as fast as some cars and the range like a actual motorcycle
Never. Gas is King when it comes to energy density
please review your arai too.
How tall are you?
Not have license this bike?
I have heard that in DTLA (and surrounding), the motorcycle cops are the ones that will pull you over for ebikes as they tend to enforce that stuff
I'm thinking to get road legal talaria sting r. And now stuck watching at this one... Help someone
Talaria sting R all the way not even close.
Cool bike, miserable disgusting city.
That doesn't deserve the title city it's a shity. Because it's ran by greedy weak con-artist. Like so many other shity's in this once beautiful nation.
Los Angeles is peak disgusting
20:39 i thought that was a lawn mower
Your dog kinduv ruleZ!
"Contact dealer" = not repair friendly ...
What makes it to where they can't simply give these things better range it doesn't make sense
Battery cost and weight. The pandemic fu**ed prices of all materials, shipping and price gouging because there are more rich people than ever before thanks to large US dollar injections. There are electric motorcycles with more power and range but they’re also $30-50k.
Does it come with a mirror
Seems like it would suck to put a seat cover on that seat
Rotors are mounted backwards
If the bike had regen you would've made it home. It makes a difference.
Nice
you could bring the charger wit ya n grab some grub n a plug : O ) for 1hr... oh yeah you have to take the battery out : O )
you should bring the charger with you
Keon Brooks
Can't find anyone doing Wheely on this bike comparing to talaria or surron
I found it much harder to wheelie, much less torque and much more weight. I’m not great at wheelies really though

Can you please buy me a ninebot. I am only 12 years old. My reason I always wanted a ninebot scooter but when I bought it we had to move to a different house and I left the scooter there😭😭 can you please buy me a Segway GT2 I loved you review of it and all of other videos. If you really buy me it I will be very happy and thankful.

Surron Ultra Bee vs NIU XQi3 :) hmmmm
I wonder when he moved to LA
Maybe you should have brought the charger with ya and then you could have went somewhere to get a bite to eat and charge up you $hit ...or ......
Maybe you should have had the adapter cable to charge the battery at any electric charging station for cars and then you could have found one and forget about the walk of shame ....
And ride the ride of fame with power still in the battery ...lol
Bahringer Mall
Whyd you do a range test without putting it on eco or at least accelerate more slowly so you dont drain the shit out of it?
I feel like it’s a realistic range test, of course you could drive it at 7 miles an hour and get insane range but what fun is that?
Honda will sell you a new xr150 for 3400 dollars and never worry about range anxiety
You neeed to remove the seat to charge 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

Still dams slow off the line compared to a car lmao 0-40 in 11 secs! So even it could go 60mph would take about 18 secs to get there!!

If it had pedals would have saved him lol
Or a gas tank

Bike is garbage
You are very unsafe when you ride this thing. I can't believe you rode it between cars the way you did. Poor example of someone riding the cycle
Google “lane splitting.”
It's called lane splitting...something you're supposed to do when you ride in those conditions. Since a motorcycle/ebike rider doesn't have the same protections as a car (sun, wind, etc) they are able to filter through traffic to the front of the line to have better lane position. So when they take off they are out of everyone's way.
Lane splitting by motorcyclists is legal in California. “LANE SPLITTING-Defined by California Vehicle Code Section 21658.1 as driving a motorcycle, as defined in Section 400, that has two wheels in contact with the ground, between rows of stopped or moving vehicles in the same lane, including on both divided and undivided streets, roads, or highways.”
Lane splitting by motorcyclists is legal in California. Intentionally blocking or impeding a motorcyclist in a way that could cause harm to the rider is illegal. Opening a vehicle door to impede a motorcyclist is illegal.
