Okay, I'll freely admit that DS9 is my favorite of all the Star Trek shows, and that is due in no small part to the aliens in the show, namely the Ferengi, Cardassians, Klingons, and Vorta in particular. I will also admit that my top favorite characters that represent those species are Quark, Garak, Martok, and Weyoun, but I will gladly admit that Damar is by far my second-favorite Cardassian. Gul Dukat is at the top of the list also, aswell as Weyoun, Damar. I loved them all. It was certainly a series that will stand the test of time. Wish they would do an HD remaster like TNG.
The thing that always strikes me about the scenes with breen on screen is how much deference that the changelings and vorta treat them with even though it seems to be cover for a very real disdain and even fear of them. Almost like they were only being allies with them so that they wouldnt be enemies and only until they could find a way to defeat them all at once. The breen are a pretty mysterious group, i remember there was a novel in which they played a large role, and while i dont remember all the details, they were treated similarly to how the xindi were in enterprise, kinda. If i recall correctly, they were not composed of a single species, but of several and the suits were more or less simply an obfuscating uniform they all wore while dealing with anyone not in the club, so that very little could be determined about them visually and most of that would be misleading anyway. They were a very closed society that was very technologically advanced, in some ways more so than the federation or other species seen in the shows.
