  • Installing a Spoon Sports B-Pipe & axle back N1 tail pipe exhaust system.
    My Phoenix Yellow Honda Integra DC2 Type R aka Acura Integra DC2R in the USA is getting a new sound from the engine and the stainless steel new exhaust does look good however it is very loud! Perhaps I should have combined the axles back section with the OEM B-Pipe (mid pipe) as that may have reduced the loudness a bit. I'll experiment with that later because at the moment it sounds more like a Bōsōzoku car

    I know sometimes my videos are very basic but hopefully they will help some people. I also like to document what I do to the car with video while trying to be creative. Most of the time I do everything here myself which is a big job and its hard to remember everything, But I shoot most of this stuff with my old iPhone and sometimes my old GoPro. The "Pieces to Camera" I film with my Canon 5D so I don't even use a proper video camera at all. Although I would love to get a SONY FX3 some day and a Gimbal too which will open up a lot of creative shots in future videos.

      Thanks mate. We are lucky in most areas of Australia that we don't have issues with rust. Also this car never goes near snow or the coast. I don't even drive it in the rain :)

      Yeah man sorry about that. I was gonna follow up with driving around and sound DB level meter readings and before and after Spoon muffler tip baffle addition but I didn’t think anyone was interested in my Honda content. But there’s not much interest in my Evo content now too. Not sure why?? Maybe I need to give away free cars LOL I can’t do that yet 😞

    would you be interested in doing a step up system? using your header with a baffled resonator the last section of pipe would be bigger by an inch or more ....no muffler will be needed ...on my ek hatch this mod has surprising effects , i will be looking on

      I wonder what the spoon street exhaust sounds like, just axle back

    • @UzumakiGarage
      @UzumakiGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidgontar3841 Right now I'm thinking that would have been the better choice. I was assuming the "street" would be very quiet and similar to the OEM muffler but after finding the following info, it would have been loud enough. I should've done better research. "The Spoon Street Silencer is lightweight construction makes it an ideal weight saver in regards to other street type mufflers on the market. It also incorporates 60.5 mm diameter inlet piping and a straight through design with multiple resonance chambers to reduce the noise down to 95-98db range. The curved in 75mm tip is also a signature Spoon Sports design. This muffler creates a very deep and mellow tone, giving an aggressive street sound."

      @@UzumakiGarage oh right i see thats very useful info thanks. Looks like it would also still meet legal noise levels, at least in Victoria

    Any issue using the sealants? How is it holding up?

    • @UzumakiGarage
      @UzumakiGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No issues yet. In this video I wasn't using OEM Honda exhaust pipes so I used a traditional exhaust gasket along with the high temp copper sealant just as an added precaution. But I've used this sealant and other lower temp sealants on my other cars which have much higher exhaust temps compared to the non turbo Honda. cheers

      @hybridirongolfer8584 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UzumakiGarage like you, the aftermarket exhaust is too loud for my liking, putting back the OEM stock exhaust but it seem OEM does not have gasket on it.

    • @UzumakiGarage
      @UzumakiGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hybridirongolfer8584 Some of the OEM flanges have a groove in them which line up with an oem donut shape gasket. I show that gasket briefly in my video. I did recently buy the optional Spoon muffler tip insert to try to quieten the exhaust a bit but I haven't installed it yet as I was gonna make a video about that too. In hindsight I should have bought the "street" exhaust system instead of the N1 system.
