Searching For AUSTRALIAS BIGGEST TAILOR | Surprise possible record fish

  • Headed north again back to an area I haven’t visited in nearly 5 years to once again search for the 1m Tailor on lure. Dave and I had a mad session chasing some of the biggest Tailor in one of the most remote sections of the WA coast. After the tailor session the plan was to find a couple of smaller fish to use for bait but what ended up happening was just chaos!! Possibly a world record sized fish.

    Try to keep the fish closer to the water if u releasing them. Dragging on rocks will injure them and they will be weak in the wild. Too long on dry beach makes them lose protective slime also bad for survival. Hope these tips help you conservate better mate

    Nice vid. In Australia you have many species of fish with amazing sized reached, but the tailor (bluefish) aren't one of these. For example, in Italy we have tailor about 6-7 kg, in Australia i know don't reached 3 - 3,5kg. Can you confirm? If you want, you can come here to catch a really big tailor! A australian lover from Italy!

    • @DixonsFishing
      @DixonsFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      we do get big ones and the Australian record is 13kg i believe. They are rare at that size and I'm certainly jealous of the size bluefish the Mediterranean and even parts of America get regularly. For myself my biggest is about 8kg and i've been searching for a 1m+ fish on lure for over a decade now.
