I'm tellin' you what, Gido, this video was absolutely Awesome. The scenery, waves, and clear, deep blue water was beautiful. Seriously, I don't know how you scamper over those sea washed rocks in your bare feet. The jagged edges and precarious places you stand to fish and catch your scaly prizes are indeed a feat beyond my ability. I absolutely enjoyed what you showed us and I couldn't stop smiling. I think I even smelled the ocean breezes, the fresh salty water, and the rocks that were deposited with seaweed and and other little critters. Some day, if only in my dreams, I'll fish those heavenly places!
I just want to say, I absolutely love the way you keep just enough to eat. And I was seriously impressed by the effort you took to save the big one. Well done
@@extremechimpout lol. I eat what I catch, and release anything I don't want to eat. In general, if I catch something really big, it goes back. This is because the bigger fish are often the breeders. Sadly, that catch and release doesn't happen often for me.
Way to go Gido! What an amazing place! Solid effort on that snapper resuscitation! Love the way you are not afraid to abuse the hobie! Your adventures are inspiring and thank you for all the effort filming for us!
And some days, you just end up KILLING it! Epic trip, mate, what more could a man want, right? A most beautiful environment, peaceful, pristine, serene- and the birds at night to serenade you into slumber. All of this- then the fishing itself... wow Gido, this video, just watching it, put me in a whole different place on a Sunday afternoon. It put me at ease and I was able to relax and enjoy the tiny slice of peace and oneness with the Earth, sea, and sky that you brought to all of us. It really does make me appreciate all the hard work and preparation, the time, the equipment, the production and the editing- I want to say THANK YOU, Gido, very much for doing your thing and then sharing it with us. Happy New Year to you and your family, and although I truly believe the rest of the world may be coming apart at the seams right now in so many places, even if it is only right here, you bring all your viewers a slice of tranquility in turbid times. Much love and peace to all
Super happy for you Gido!! That was a good fight he put up! Epic scenery, so stoked for you to be there and taking us along with you. Defenite bucket list for me. 🤙🏾
Awesome Gido… glad you enjoyed your time over here in NZ… great barrier and mokahinaus are amazing places alright spend plenty of time there too… come back again mate!!
New Zealand is so beautiful and the locations you’ve been at have been spectacular. When my younger brother was in high school, he won a trip to a world rifle meet in New Zealand. We were on the same team, here in Texas but he got picked. I was so disappointed, but happy for him.
Seeing the stars from the Southern Hemisphere would really blow my mind!! Dad was working at NASA his whole life so I know the northern hemisphere. But if I was there with you I would think I was on another planet!! Great start for us to get to watch you in action - thanks!
I was wrong, there were a few things I could use to navigate. Like Jupiter at 26:17 starting to disappear behind the rocks and the Zodiac sign Taurus the bull, Orion, the Pleiades aka the seven sisters and of course The Andromeda Galaxy - something that we can definitely never see from here in Stockholm, Sweden! It was a bit of a mind f*ck because everything was “up side down” compared to the last 63 years! 😂
Love it that you only take what you need and put the big ones back. I wish everyone fished like you do. Too many people let their ego rule and keep the big breeders that should be put back (after a quick photo)
Awesome videos, over and over again. Especially the scene with the stars and the animals making noises (don't know what that was) but it was magic. Keep on posting, never stop. Would make me sad.
The sound of the birds on the cliffs at night! Amazing! what kind of birds are those. And what a great trip you're having with a PB! Oh, yes did the huge fish stay down after you spiked it down? Nice that you went out to it to take care of it. Congrats! Thanks for taking us along...ATB
Such an awesome environment - and an amazing capture only a few metres from the rock. As always, thanks for sharing. And I finally have some tasline, 20lb on a new setup.
Love your style . Im an expat Fan living in WA. I had a recent phone call with my Dad giving him in the heads up about your channel and was surprised to hear him cut me off and mention are you talking about Guido? Absolute gold, LMAO
Thanks Gido awesome footage again., love it, can't wait to see what's coming next. Keep them coming. Will be travelling WA soon for a couple years any locations you can suggest for some nice fish. Cheers
Ive just discovered your channel and been going back and watching your old videos, it’s a cracker mate! Would love to see a video on your camping set ups, like tents or bivy, cooler recommendations, ect.
I have seen a tool used to help fish being released, that have swim bladder problems. Its like a needle you use to poke a small hole through the belly, it heals quickly and saves a fish that otherwise would die from being brought up from the deep.
Mr Guido excellent adventures but I think you're kind of crazy hanging from those cliffs 😂😂😂 but you are good at it just be careful please and keep up the good work, and by the way where can we by the hooking devise you use to bring up the bigger fish that is like a four hooks grappler?
Bet the fishing is stellar on them as well. Hard to believe that places like this still exist- South Florida waters have been pillaged by all accounts, between the fishing masses and the freshwater runoff created by overbuilding, etc. I can see why certain places are protected, and it's a good thing in a lot of cases. Cheers!

What a dreamy fishing spot. Loved this video!

Great to see you catch an amazing snap off the rocks, so many LB spots out there. Spent many a night out at Mokohinau and always felt an energy there.
As a kayak angler I flinch every time you drag one over rocks! Beautiful footage and congrats on the snapper.
cheers from south korea! what a beautiful nature in australia! every single time new fishing spot and fish! thanks for vids
Incredible place, the coast there is next level. And as an added bonus, no snakes !!
wow. what amazing country. Can't believe you resisted having a dive for a cray..... Great work with a stunning episode Gido

I thought they were whales a night
I think those are shrieking eels. They grow louder before they feed on human flesh.
@@leolldankologyOne could only hope.🤣
I think they are Kuaka/ Diving Petrel or Shearwater in or around their burrows. Awesome to hear though.

Gee Gido, i think you paddled too far out of Albany mate.
I love your work though.
Keep it up. Great stuff. 👍
Awesome video mate! Always helpful to carry a big needle to deflate the fish if your going to release them after catching them in deep water.
Damn. That was nice. What a beautiful spot.
